The Christchurch Art Centre

The Art Centre of Christchurch is a typical Gothic building in New Zealand and the former site of the University of Canterbury. Spires, corner towers, and cloisters are characteristic of this architectural style. The entire building is grand in scale and distinctive in style, with walls made of stones arranged into beautiful patterns, leaving a lasting impression. After the University of Canterbury relocated, this place became the regional art centre. Inside the centre, there are artist workshops, and the surrounding area is also imbued with an artistic atmosphere, with art shops, open-air cafes, the Court Theatre, and the McDougall Art Gallery nearby.
