You can take puclic transportation to get there. The most convenient one is the light rain line 1, which takes you to Ciqikou station (瓷器口站）. There are also some bus stations close by. Ciqikou was first built during the Song Dynasty, and became prosperous during the Republican Period. Located next to the Jialing River, Ciqikou was a busy and crowded port, and was also called “Little Chongqing”. You can enjoy the local specialities, teas and also visit the Baolun temple, which is located close to the river. There is one famous smelly/sticky tofu place, where you need to line up to get the delicacy. If you want to avoid the crowds from the main shopping street, feel free to wander around the secondary streets ad enjoy a glimps of the authentic Chongqing life.
