#planitorwingit My walk through the backstreets of Via Pirandello was a "plan it" decision, sort of. I knew I wanted to see the area around the Greek Theatre without joining a tour, so I gave myself a rough time slot but no fixed path. It turned out to be the perfect balance. I wandered past ancient stone walls, ducked under laundry lines, and followed a narrow lane that seemed to lead nowhere. I stumbled upon a tiny, family-run ceramic shop tucked away from the crowds. The owner, Giuseppe, was shaping a vase by hand and offered me a coffee (€1, cash only). We chatted for 20 minutes about the town’s history—something no guidebook could have provided. My tip? If you want to explore the historic backstreets, don't over-plan. Give yourself a general direction and a couple of hours, then just wander. And always carry some cash; you never know when you'll want to buy a handmade souvenir or accept a kind gesture.

My family spent Labor Day weekend at the Palace Hotel, staying in two rooms on the 7th floor—a junior suite and a regular room. The hotel was so impressive that my wife is already planning a return trip for her birthday in March. We traveled from Los Angeles to attend the UCLA-UC Berkeley football game on Saturday. One reason we chose this hotel was its location above a BART station, making it easy to travel to Berkeley while enjoying a stay in San Francisco. It worked out perfectly. We took the BART from SFO and arrived at the hotel around 10 AM, well before the 4 PM check-in. While we anticipated only dropping off our luggage in my brother's room until ours was ready, the front desk kindly checked us in early and ensured we were on the same floor as my brother, who had arrived the previous night. The hotel itself is magnificent. The lobby was stunning, and our room on the 7th floor featured high ceilings and charming, classic details. As a historic building rebuilt in 1909, it felt special to stay in a place with so much character. The bathroom was larger than expected, and the room was bright and welcoming. Downtown San Francisco turned out to be more pleasant than Downtown Los Angeles. Walking to Union Square was enjoyable, and we also made our way to the cable car turnaround on Market Street to ride the Powell/Hyde line to Ghirardelli Square. A highlight of our visit was trying an unmanned Waymo car from Fisherman's Wharf—an exciting and memorable experience after seeing so many on the streets. One evening, my daughter and I enjoyed the indoor pool on the 4th floor. While the water was a bit chilly, the hot tub was a nice way to warm up, though it did fill up quickly. It was great to have an indoor pool since San Francisco can get quite cold, even in summer. The hotel’s resort fee included a $30 daily food credit, which we didn't use the first day because of the game in Berkeley. The following day we used it for room service, ordering chicken fingers and fries for my daughter. The credit covered most of it, and though she only found it "okay," it was convenient. We had positive interactions with all the hotel staff we encountered. It was such a wonderful experience that we can't imagine staying anywhere else the next time we visit San Francisco. We loved the Palace Hotel!

I’ve done ghost tours in places like Salem, Gettysburg, New Orleans, and San Jose, CA, and now San Francisco. I’ve already bought tickets for Berkeley because I’m excited for my next adventure! Our San Francisco tour began promptly at 8:15 p.m. and concluded around 11:15 p.m., and every moment was worthwhile. Ying Liu was an outstanding storyteller and highly knowledgeable about San Francisco’s history. She seamlessly combined historical facts with paranormal tales, keeping everyone hooked throughout. I firmly believe in the paranormal, while my son, who joined me, is a skeptic. Still, even he was impressed. Ying provided evidence from past investigations, thoughtfully answered everyone’s questions, and even brought paranormal equipment for us to try out at various locations. The highlight of our night occurred in a dark, eerie alley, where we encountered some strange activity. Numerous apparition detections, elevated EMF readings, and a few seemingly intelligent responses through the equipment made for an unforgettable experience—whether you’re a believer or a skeptic. This ghost tour stood out as the spookiest I’ve ever experienced. Since August 1, 2026, was the date of our tour, it remained light until about 9:00 p.m., creating a fascinating transition into the night. As darkness set in, the sites became increasingly chilling, and yes, I screamed a couple of times! One aspect I found particularly enjoyable was the smaller group size. Instead of feeling like part of a big tourist crowd, it felt intimate, as if I were accompanying a genuine paranormal investigator on an active case, which greatly added to the immersive nature of the experience. If you have even a slight interest in ghost stories, history, or the paranormal, this tour is a must. Whether you’re a long-time believer like me or a skeptic like my son, it’s sure to leave a lasting impression.

First of all, let me clarify that I’m not a hardcore fan, just a casual admirer. However, I’ve known and liked Wang Yuan since I was young, so all opinions here are purely personal. Today, I attended his concert with my family. Wang Yuan is like a "white moonlight" figure for both of us, so we decided to go. We were lucky enough to get seats in the second row of the inner section, which made me super excited, haha. Throughout the concert, the two words that kept coming to my mind were "sincerity" and "dedication." My family and I have attended many concerts by different artists (my family member is a seasoned concert-goer), and honestly, our impression of Wang Yuan was still stuck in his childhood days. We hadn’t followed him much as he grew up, but today, we were deeply moved and impressed. The first thing that struck me was the stage props and effects. Maybe I’m not very knowledgeable about these things, but from my perspective, Wang Yuan’s concert featured an array of effects like confetti, water cannons, bubbles, and what seemed like dry ice or liquid nitrogen spheres (is that what they’re called?). Anyway, there were so many types, and they covered a wide area, creating a fairytale-like atmosphere. Watching it felt truly magical and happy. The second highlight was the stage design. He had an extended stage shaped like a T, which already surprised me. Later, I noticed a machine that looked like a small movable stage. At first, I thought it was just an advanced version of a lift stage, but it wasn’t—it slowly moved to the back of the venue (similar to the setup in the second image). Why? To allow fans in different areas, even those far away, to see him more closely and clearly. Honestly, this touched me the most. He genuinely cares about his fans and puts so much thought into their experience. I even joked that, for the first time, sitting in the second row didn’t feel as special, haha. The third highlight was the closing gratitude segment. He expressed his thanks very earnestly, visibly appreciating the staff and team involved. Fans also joined in by loudly saying "thank you," creating a wonderful atmosphere. Wang Yuan ran around the stage, bowing deeply at a perfect 90-degree angle. His sincerity and heartfelt gratitude moved me deeply. As for the music, I thought his singing was excellent and very enjoyable. Many of the songs seemed to be written and composed by him, which is impressive. He sang continuously without taking breaks. There were also many moments where audience members appeared on the big screen, and the interactive segments were well-organized. The talking portions were particularly comfortable and engaging. Since I hadn’t looked up the concert details beforehand, I experienced everything in the moment, and I could feel how much effort went into the planning. It wasn’t just about singing and talking—it was truly a well-rounded and thoughtful performance. Absolutely amazing! From having an impression of him as a child star to learning about his decision to study at Berklee and pursue music, and then experiencing his concert today, I was deeply moved. Wang Yuan comes across as a sincere, kind, and meticulous person with his own aspirations and ambitions. He’s someone truly worth admiring. As a casual fan, I’ve now fallen head over heels for him. Sincerity really is a killer trait! I hope Wang Yuan continues to thrive, releases more songs (every single one is so good!), and gains more love and support. Wishing him all the best! (One last thing, and I’m not sure if I should say this—please don’t criticize me for it. I just feel that some of his songs have a melancholic vibe. It’s understandable that growing up comes with more worries and less carefree joy compared to childhood, but it still makes me feel a bit heartbroken. Knowing he’s faced some negative public opinion in the past, I just want to wish him happiness every day and hope he keeps rising higher and higher. May everything go smoothly for him!) Finally, I want to emphasize that I’m just a casual fan. These are purely my personal feelings and reflections. If I’ve said anything wrong, it’s my fault—please don’t criticize me.

Walking through UC Berkeley in spring is seriously a game-changer for your study motivation! The campus is buzzing with sunshine, modern architecture, and those iconic Western-style buildings that make every Insta pic pop ✨📸. You’ll catch outdoor cultural landscapes and gorgeous views of trees in full bloom—nature’s very own study hack. Want to level up your student game? Strolling between classes and chilling on the grass is how you soak up that Berkeley brainpower. The signage wall at the university is #VibesOnly during daytime, giving you major inspo to hit your goals! If you’re looking for a comfy base, the Wfh-Friendly Berkeley Home is just under 2 miles from campus (2739 Ashby Pl), perfect for those spontaneous study sessions or lazy brunches with friends. UC Berkeley is always open for self-guided walks, but if you want the full campus experience, drop by during regular hours—Monday to Friday, 9AM–6PM. This city is sooo good for springtime dreaming and leveling up your student life. Don’t skip it if you want to take your studies (and your IG feed) to the next level!

The weather was cool, the sun wasn't too strong, and the campus was large and easy to walk around. The first thing you'll see is the classic clock tower—super tall, super easy to spot, the whole campus seems to revolve around it. Walking towards the physics department, you'll encounter that adorable Einstein statue. He sits on a bench, holding a book, his head slightly tilted, as if waiting to chat. The best part is, you can sit right next to him and take a photo—a classic photo spot. Further into the Life Sciences Building, as you enter the lobby, you'll see a huge dinosaur skeleton—completely unlike anything you'd see in a typical university. It takes a moment to notice it the first time you see it. The most interesting detail is seeing designated parking spaces for Nobel laureates. They actually say "Reserved for Nobel Laureate"—it's incredibly exclusive. Ordinary people can't park there; even faculty members aren't eligible. Only award winners can park there—truly a privilege reserved for academic luminaries. November at UC Berkeley feels relaxed, fun, and with a touch of academic flair. There's no specific destination in mind, but you'll stumble upon cool things just by strolling around. If you're looking for a place in November that doesn't require a packed itinerary but offers plenty of interesting experiences just by walking around, Berkeley is a great choice. #NovemberDestinations2025

At the moment of overlooking the Bay Area from Sather Tower, I finally understood the romance that belongs to Berkeley. In the distance, you see the clouds rolling over San Francisco and the silhouette of the Golden Gate Bridge; looking down, there is the century-old campus and the hurried students. Accompanied by the chimes at noon or dusk, it feels as if time slows down. 🧗 Sather Tower Climbing Guide 📍 Location: UC Berkeley campus center, The Campanile 🕰 Opening Hours Monday to Friday | 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Saturday | 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sunday | 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM ➕ 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM ⚠️ Note: The carillon concert usually closes the tower from 1 PM to 3 PM on Sundays, so don’t go during this time to avoid a wasted trip! 🎫 Ticket Information Credit Card Only, no cash accepted, $5 for general visitors 🎒 About Backpacks Large backpacks are not allowed inside the tower; big backpacks cannot be brought into the elevator. There is a free storage area in the first-floor lobby. Only bring your phone, camera, and small shoulder bags for a light climb. 📷 Photo Tips ▫️ Inside the tower: Look up to capture the huge bronze bell and mechanical structure. ▫️ Panoramic view: On a clear day, use a telephoto lens to compress the scene and frame the campus buildings with the distant Bay Bridge. ▫️ Golden hour: The light from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM is the gentlest, bathing the entire Bay Area in golden hues.

Berkeley’s hidden gem for dog lovers? Double Trouble State Park is calling! 🐶🌳 Perfect for all you outdoor fans (and your four-legged friends), this spot blends forest vibes and peaceful trails for a classic Jersey adventure. Must-See Place: Double Trouble State Park (581 Pinewald Keswick Rd, Bayville, NJ 08721) is open daily 8:00 AM–6:00 PM. Leashed dogs are totally welcome, making it one of the easiest, no-fuss places for a brisk morning walk or a lazy afternoon stroll. Trails here are mostly flat and shaded—no special shoes needed! Pro tip: It’s smart to bring extra water for both you and your pup, since fountains aren’t always running. Personal Hack: I found that starting the walk earlier in the day = fewer crowds and tons more wildlife spotting. You’ll see locals with dogs of every size, so it’s got a friendly community vibe. The main parking lot gets busy on weekends—aim for weekday visits or arrive before 10 AM for easy access. Getting Around: Parking is free and right by the entrance. Public transport isn’t really viable here, so a car is essential. Food Fix: There are no cafes inside the park, so I recommend packing snacks or swinging by local spots in Bayville post-walk. Try ‘Bubbakoos Burritos’ (791 NJ-9, Bayville), which is dog-friendly at their outdoor tables. Travel Tips: No entrance fee, no reservations needed. Carry cash for roadside snacks or farmer stands nearby. Weather is mild most seasons, but check for ticks after hikes! #BerkeleyNJ #DogWalkingUSA #StateParks #TravelwithPets

1. First Impressions – The Moment the Line Between City and Campus Blurs Berkeley, a small city about a 30-minute BART ride from San Francisco. The moment I got off the train, I was struck by how seamlessly the campus and neighborhood blended, to the point where I wondered, "Where does the city begin and where does the school begin?" Students rode their bikes along the streets, people ran with books in their hands, and groups of high school students took a campus tour. It felt like I was in a coming-of-age movie. ⸻ 2. The Heart of Campus – Sather Tower and the Library Sather Tower (aka Campanile), standing at the center of campus, was a symbol of Berkeley. The chimes from the bell tower resonated throughout the campus, as if whispering, "Study now!" And then I stopped by Doe Library, which was truly overwhelming. Underneath the antique vaulted ceiling, the only sound was the quiet turning of pages. That space, filled with the Ivy League atmosphere I'd only seen in photos, felt just like the one I'd seen in photos. 📌 Tip: Some areas on the first floor are open to the public. Visitor registration is required to enter without a student ID. ⸻ 3. Berkeley's Uniquely Free Atmosphere What struck me most while walking through Berkeley was the diversity of its people. Students from all over the world conversed in different languages, students busked spontaneously over a single speaker, and even heated discussions about political and social issues. It was different from the typical "college campus" scene you often see in Korea. This wasn't just a place to study, but a place to speak out and change the world. ⸻ 4. Nearby Restaurants and Rest Areas There were many small cafes and restaurants right next to the Berkeley campus, but the most memorable was the pizza place on Shattuck Avenue. Each piece was as big as my face, and I was incredibly satisfied with the price. Also, the campus had plenty of lawns, so students were studying on mats or having lunch with friends. Just sitting in the sun was healing in itself. ⸻ 5. Impressions – “A City of Intellectual Stimulation” Although it was a short visit, UC Berkeley left me with a profound inspiration. It wasn't just the prestigious university title, but the passion and free spirit of the people gathered there that moved me. On my way back to Korea, this thought occurred to me: “Studying here isn't just about earning a degree, but it might also be about broadening your perspective on the world.” ⸻ ✈️ Visiting Tips · Best Time: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM (students are most active) · Transportation: Approximately 30-35 minutes by BART from downtown San Francisco · Recommended Route: BART Berkeley Station → Sassanid Tower → Doe Library → Campus Walk → Nearby Cafe ⸻ Summary UC Berkeley is not just a campus; the entire city is one giant classroom and forum.

#mediterraneanfood Tucked into the vibrant heart of Dubai Marina Mall, Peet’s Coffee offers a refreshing escape from the city’s fast-paced energy. As I stepped into the café, I was immediately struck by its warm, inviting atmosphere—an elegant blend of modern design and cozy charm. The aroma of freshly roasted beans filled the air, hinting at the rich legacy of Alfred Peet, whose vision of artisan coffee began in Berkeley, California back in 1966. That legacy is alive and well here, where every cup feels thoughtfully crafted and deeply satisfying. I ordered a classic cappuccino, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The balance of bold espresso and velvety foam was perfect, with a depth of flavor that lingered pleasantly. For a sweet treat, I paired it with a slice of their signature chocolate cake—decadent without being overpowering, and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and attentive, offering recommendations with genuine enthusiasm. It’s clear that service here is as much a priority as the coffee itself. What sets this location apart is its setting. Nestled within Dubai Marina Mall, Peet’s Coffee benefits from stunning views of the marina and easy access to the waterfront promenade. After enjoying my coffee, I took a leisurely stroll outside, soaking in the skyline and watching yachts glide by. It’s the kind of place where you can pause, reflect, and recharge—whether you’re a tourist exploring the city or a local seeking a moment of calm. Peet’s Coffee at Dubai Marina Mall isn’t just a café; it’s an experience. Sather Tower, also known as The Campanile, is a landmark building on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley. It was completed in 1914 and first opened to the public in 1917. The bell tower is 307 feet (about 93.6 meters) high, making it the third tallest bell tower in the world, after the Campanile di San Marco in Venice and several other famous bell towers. The designer of Sather Tower was John Galen Howard, the founder of the College of Environmental Design at the University of California, Berkeley. It uses the Beaux-arts style and is one of the important landscapes on campus. The tower has 13 floors, and the 8th floor has an observation deck. Visitors can go up to the observation deck to overlook the beautiful scenery of the entire campus. In addition, some floors are used to store fossils. As one of the most prominent landmarks of the University of California, Berkeley, Sather Tower is not only the background of students' daily study and life, but also a must-visit attraction for tourists. There is a fee to go up to the observation deck, but this experience will undoubtedly allow people to have a deeper understanding of this prestigious university.
