I've stayed at this guesthouse twice now. The first time was with friends, and I liked it so much I brought my family back for a second stay. Compared to a standard hotel, the ambiance here is really unique, with a 'step-by-step, scene-by-scene' feel. I'd highly recommend bringing Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) for photos; they'll turn out beautifully. The hotel service is excellent. Any requests communicated via WeChat were responded to very quickly. I'd definitely recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Huangshan or Huizhou.

The boss is warm and service-oriented. I went late and waited patiently. He was very polite. The environment is quiet, the transportation is convenient, and it is close to the high-speed rail station.

The B&B is a seven or eight minute walk from Hongcun. I stayed there for two consecutive nights and went in and out of Hongcun and Xidi Village twice, which was very convenient. The B&B also provides free tea and fruit. The service attitude of the lady at the front desk was very good. She also gave me special Huangshan sesame cakes before leaving. The experience was very good. Parking is also very good, and you don’t have to wait for traffic jams. It is very sunny at noon, so you can rest in the hotel and go to see the night view of Hongcun at four or five o'clock. It is also very convenient.

Great stay at this place. The owners are very friendly and upgraded our room on arrival, they carried our bags to our room even though we were on the third floor. We received lots of advice of how to climb the mountains and they booked a shuttle bus for us to get to the train station the next day. The location is a 12 minute walk from the bus to the entrance gate of the mountains. Location is fine as being close to the bus stop is all that’s important, there isn’t anything to do in Tangkou and very few food options in the whole area, we found no western food at all but one Korean place. The hotel had everything we needed, a good bar and coffee machine, they had a washer and dryer, nice rooms that were pretty clean which had ac and heating. The lobby was comfy and they had movies playing on the projector in the evenings. Would recommend this place on a short trip to the yellow mountains!

From New Year's Eve to the third day of the ***** New Year, I spent the most festive days at Shudetang. My first visit was on New Year's Day, and I had planned to return when the lotus flowers bloomed in Yongxing Lake again. But alas, my heart yearned to go back sooner than expected. From the 'Returning Heart,' 'Dream Stream,' and 'Willow Whispers' rooms, to the New Year's Eve dinner where guests from all corners gathered, to the 'Little Black Horse' activity, the master's handwritten 'Fu' characters, the meals and desserts at Ouyuan, the century-old ancient architecture and the iconic tree of Chengkan, to the Fucheng dumplings and the thoughtful send-off arrangements upon departure – everything highlighted the significance of my stay. On this side of Yongxing Lake, the waves ripple, unhurried and calm; On the other side of Shudetang, fish and dragons dance, thriving and enduring. If you're planning a trip to Chengkan, I highly recommend Shudetang.

There is a small hotel located halfway up the mountain in the scenic area. It is clean and tidy. I booked a room where I could see the stars. We arrived in the evening and ordered a pot of chicken soup in advance, with two vegetarian dishes and a bowl of noodles. The meal was very good for four people. The breakfast is also very rich, and there is yogurt, which is very good in the B&B. I got up at six in the morning and went to burn some morning incense. After coming back and having breakfast, we went to Yueshen Hall, Huacheng Temple, Baisui Palace and other places. There were too many people taking the cable car, so I decided to go down the mountain decisively. It was a complete success.

The guesthouse is easily found and accessible, just steps from the bus stop for tourist attractions. The staff has excellent knowledge of the scenic areas, and the breakfast offers a taste of home. It's near Gion-ji Temple, originally built in the Ming Dynasty, Huacheng-ji Temple, a nationally protected cultural relic, and a specialty vegetarian restaurant. The stars seemed so close at night!

I had an outstanding stay at this hotel and can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The service was first-class. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive and they made me feel genuinely welcome from the moment I arrived. When I told them that I planned to hike 黄山 (Huangshan), they took the time to help me choose the best route based on my experience and preferences, offering valuable tips. My room itself was spacious, perfectly equipped with everything one needs and very clean. One of the highlights was the large window, which offered a beautiful view of the mountain range. Another absolute highlight is the rooftop terrace of the hotel. It is a wonderful place to relax after a long day of hiking, and it offers the best view of the mountain in the entire town. The location of the hotel is also extremely convenient, with several convenience stores and many restaurants right next to the hotel. The hotel staff can even arrange pick-up and drop-off at the next highspeed railway station with a cheaper fare than a regular taxi or a bus. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is conveniently located next to Liyang Old Street and within walking distance of Tunxi Old Street. The area is quite lively at night. While the cleanliness and breakfast options could be improved, it's reasonably convenient for visiting nearby attractions.

Overnight in Hongcun, half mountain and half water ✔ I booked this hotel while visiting Hongcun. I arrived at the scenic area at 6 PM. The hostess came with a cart to pick up my luggage. The entrance to the B&B is decorated in the Huizhou style. We booked a duplex on a last-minute basis; my friend prefers older buildings. We made do with it for one night. The highlight of this place is the terrace. From the top, you can enjoy the entire Hongcun nightscape. For the price, this hotel is quite good, and I'll also review it on the reviews page.
