Traversing the Loke Road

One person, one car, on June 12th, traversing the Loke Road in reverse! Light rain added a layer of uncertainty, and indeed, I experienced altitude sickness! However, while everyone else was busy taking photos at the various checkpoints, I captured different perspectives along the way! This was a unique experience in my life! The night I arrived at Zhagana, I actually felt relieved. The journey through the Loke Road was meant to temper my expectations for Zhagana, just like the innkeeper said, when you come from the Loke Road, there's nothing much to see in Zhagana anymore! Hahaha! 👉Reverse traversing the Loke Road: This refers to taking the Loke Road from Zagulu to Zhagana, which saves the 80 yuan Zhagana entrance fee. At least it was still possible when I went, and the road was clear! 👉About self-driving: It didn't feel difficult, but there was a stretch of road that was in poor condition, which was uncomfortable to drive on. When the road got worse, I just drove slowly and managed to cope! 👉About altitude sickness: Normally, I shouldn't have suffered from it. It might have been due to excessive physical exertion, and not keeping warm enough and getting caught in the wind. So, when you go, make sure to keep warm. In June, when passing the highest point, it can be close to zero degrees, so be sure to prepare warm clothes!

Starting from Diebu, taking the 'Little Duku' to Langmusi, this route is also quite beautiful. The route from Diebu Town to Tiebu Town to Bengba Village to Huahu is known as Gannan's 'Little Duku', which is actually a township road. Using cycling navigation can ensure it's a small path. The essence of the route is from Bengba Village to Huahu, where the scenery is the most beautiful and the road is the most difficult to travel. There are many places where it's difficult to pass another vehicle, but the scenery changes diversely, with grasslands, valleys, and forests rapidly switching within a dozen kilometers. Huahu-Langmusi-Labrang Monastery After Huahu, heading towards Langmusi, you can pass through the Zoige Grassland; from Langmusi towards Labrang, you can pass through Gaga Sea and Guomang Wetland, both of which have nice scenery. From Labrang to the direction of Zhuoni, you can form a closed loop with the reverse route of the Rock's Road, so you can make a round trip in Gannan without taking a detour.

Zagana

Zagana is located in Yiwu Township, Diebu County, Gansu Province. In Tibetan, it means "stone box". It is an ancient cliff city that can accommodate thousands of people from two villages for living and farming. A road winds up to the top of the mountain, with shops lining the street and guest houses scattered all over. Due to its natural advantages of towering and majestic clouds, it has become popular all over the country, giving this ancient village that has been farming and hunting for thousands of years a new vitality. I came to Zagana not to check in, but to challenge the Locke Road by driving alone. The night before, I was worried that all the guest houses in Zagana would be full, so I stayed in the suburbs of Diebu County more than 30 kilometers away from the scenic area. I got up before dawn and went to Zagana. When I arrived, I found out that there were many guest houses and RV campsites after entering the scenic area gate. It can be said that there is no worry about food and accommodation. Driving up the mountain, the narrow village road was full of cars on both sides, and the road and the slope were full of tourists waiting to watch the sunrise. The higher I drove, the narrower the road and the more people. I had a premonition that it would be difficult to go down the mountain, so I took a few photos and turned around and went down the mountain. At more than eight o'clock in the morning when I went down the mountain, as expected, the cars going up the mountain had lined up for several kilometers. Suggestions: 1. Never go there during the summer vacation 2. The capacity of the guest houses in Zagana is large enough, so don't live outside the scenic area gate, 3. Beijing-Gannan D6i Runwu

To capture the 🌅, you have to get up early, but the heavy clouds and fog prevented a good shot. You can play for 24 hours a day, and it's free. The village has no lights at night, illuminated by moonlight, which is quite atmospheric! Just outside the homestay is the Shimen Viewing Platform. If you walk up for another 5 minutes, there's an even higher viewing platform that you can see from the yard. The Rock Viewing Platform is 10 minutes from the homestay, but it takes 15 minutes to climb up due to the high altitude, or you can ride a horse for a round trip for 100 yuan. Get up early for the sunrise, then go back for breakfast. Then head to the Rock Viewing Platform to see the panoramic view of Yeri Village, which is very beautiful.
