Hvar, also known as Lavender Island
Hvar is famous for lavender. Many hawkers on the island sell lavender products, such as sachets and essential oils.
Some essential oil bottles have hand painted on them
Generally, tourists will stay here for one night and join the blue cave tour there.
However, the weather was not really good when we arrived Hvar so we didn’t join the tour.
I heard that blue caves are sometimes closed because the water level is too high.
If you plan to visit the blue cave, you are suggested to ask the boat agent earlier.
Also, you can rent a speedboat to visit nearby islands from Hvar.
You can see many of these bakeries (PEKARA) in Croatia,
open 24 hours and the price is reasonable, you can buy their bread for breakfast. It is tasty.
Because Hvar has very famous stone terraces
The whole city fluctuates with the terrain of the hillside, so the whole picture has many layers.
It is recommended that you go to the hillside to see the whole city from top to bottom
The blue sky, the green space, the red ancient city ...
In the evening, the different flavors of Stephana Church
Rather than spending a lot of time on the street, I prefer to run down the alley
I am sure that it will surprise you!

하늘을나는사람
赫瓦爾鎮
When it comes to Croatia's most dreamy resort destinations, Hvar Town is probably the first place that comes to mind for many! It's hailed as Croatia's "most" numerous islands—the most luxurious, the sunniest, and one of the most popular travel destinations. Strolling through Hvar under the blue skies and white clouds, you can enjoy the clear blue Adriatic Sea, surrounded by lush greenery and elegant white stone buildings. The entire town seems kissed by the sun, its scenery unbelievably beautiful. If you want to experience a slow-paced life, pure relaxation, and tranquility, this is the place to be!
Hvar Town Highlights
1. Romantic Seaside Promenade Stroll
With sunshine covering Hvar like free Wi-Fi every day, a leisurely walk along the seaside promenade is highly recommended. Feel the sea breeze, and gaze at the fishing boats and yachts dotting the pristine blue sea—it's all incredibly soothing. Taking photos of the seascape under the sunlight is absolutely stunning, especially in the morning and evening, when the light and shadow create unique and captivating effects.
2. Explore Hvar's Historic Architecture
Hvar's architecture is predominantly Western-style, with white stone walls gleaming under the blue sky. A visit to the Hvar Fortica offers panoramic sea views, while a leisurely afternoon is enjoyed with a coffee in the square in front of St. Stephen's Cathedral. For photography enthusiasts, the town's winding streets offer excellent vantage points.
3. Discover Natural Vegetation and Lavender Fields
Besides the sea, Hvar boasts pale purple lavender fields and evergreen olive, pine, and palm trees. June to August is lavender season; if time permits, rent a bicycle or walk to the fragrant Mimuri lavender fields outside town for photos and to breathe in the summer air.
4. Enjoy a Slow-Paced Market & Local Food Experience
The city center features local produce markets where you can try fresh olive oil, incredibly sweet melons, or dried figs. For lunch, we recommend enjoying local seafood pasta or black truffle risotto at a seaside restaurant, paired with a glass of local Hvar white wine – perfect for a truly unforgettable experience.

Pre-trip Tips
1. Hvar is sunny and perfect for relaxing in the sun, but remember to wear sunscreen!
2. Shops and restaurants on the island usually open around noon, so take your time in the morning for a leisurely stroll along the beach!
3. Prices on the island are relatively high compared to other Croatian cities, so it's advisable to book your accommodation and meals in advance. You can also explore the local markets for hidden gems.
4. Summer is peak season, so it gets very crowded. Plan your walks in the morning or evening for a more tranquil experience of the coastal scenery.
Hvar is the kind of island where you can completely slow down, letting your eyes and heart soak in the sunshine, the architecture, and the sea. Spending an afternoon simply strolling around the town, doing absolutely nothing, is a luxurious experience.
