To experience Shanghai's most authentic local life, wander through its labyrinthine longtang alleys—these maze-like lanes preserve the city's truest character. Here, time-worn stone steps bear the polish of generations, and faded doorplates whisper tales of change. The longtang is an open, three-dimensional scrapbook—one that lets every visitor touch the living texture and human warmth of Shanghai.

Wutong Area "Laokele" Walk: Focusing on Wukang Road and its surroundings, this tour allows visitors to deeply explore landmark buildings such as the Wukang Mansion, listen to stories of celebrities and architecture, and experience the historical charm of this century-old neighborhood.

Old Town Cultural Walk: Covering traditional blocks like Yu Garden and City God Temple, this experience offers explorations of classical gardens and Taoist culture, along with tea ceremonies and local snacks—immersing guests in the authentic atmosphere of Old Shanghai.

Red History Trail: Includes memorial sites such as the former sites of the First to Fourth National Congresses of the Communist Party of China and Sihang Warehouse, commemorating Shanghai’s role in modern Chinese history.

Yangyun Aman | I found a paradise in Shanghai

Yangyun Aman | I found a paradise in Shanghai

Yangyun Aman is located in the lush ancient camphor forest, and its center is 26 restored Ming and Qing houses. After watching the documentary, I realized that the original intention was to protect the ancient village, including the ancient trees, and every brick and tile was moved from Fuzhou, Jiangxi and then restored. With the blessing of the design master Kerry Hill, it gave new life to the old houses and ancient trees. It's so shocking!! The hotel is quiet in the bustling Shanghai, located in a quiet corner of the suburban oasis, and it is also the 'Dragon Ridge' of Shanghai 🐉, only 30 minutes drive from Hongqiao Airport. The hotel and Tokyo Aman are both from the design master Kerry Hill. The most famous in the hotel are the 13 Ming and Qing houses 'moved' from Jiangxi. These ancient buildings were originally located in Wang Anshi and Tang Xianzu's hometown of Fuzhou, Jiangxi. To avoid being submerged due to the construction of a reservoir, they were moved to Shanghai by the hotel brick by brick, and now they are distributed on the left side of the lobby. In terms of protecting ancient buildings, what Yangyun Aman does is really commendable. In addition to the villas, the hotel's 'Nan Book Room' is also an ancient building. Named after the admiration of the royal study 'Nan Book Room' in the Forbidden City, its predecessor was a private school in the 17th century. Now it is mainly made of golden nanmu, and it is furnished with rare nanmu furniture. Here you can experience tea ceremony 🍵, calligraphy, incense ceremony, as well as traditional musical instruments such as guqin and guzheng. The hotel's restaurant is also very special. In 'Spicy Bamboo' 🌶️, you can eat authentic Jiangxi cuisine, and heavy taste can also find true love in Shanghai. The Italian restaurant 'Arva' 🍽 serves organic and healthy dishes from farm to table. The hot pot restaurant 'Yin Lu' 🥘 located by the lake is hidden in the bamboo forest, and all the stoves used are made of pure silver. In addition, you can also customize lake afternoon tea, dining in the ancient house villa, etc.

#shanghaitrip The location of the hotel is very close to the subway exit of Line 2-Songhong Station. Take Metro Line 2 to the Bund Yu Garden and other popular attractions on the same line. Take the subway for 1 stop to Hongqiao Terminal 2. It is convenient to eat and shop in Darong City (a small department store) The room is bright and spacious, the bed is moderately soft and hard, the desk is large and convenient for working, the refrigerator is large and the laundry dryer is suitable for short-term business rentals, and there is a hidden cloakroom that is very convenient for storage. Hygiene is clean and tidy as a whole, without peculiar smell The front desk and cleaning and maintenance staff provide good service. If you have any questions, you can ask them directly. If the facilities are not in use, they will explain them to you carefully After the shopping mall rests at night, open the outside window (with gauze) to breathe and sleep, and there is basically no noise A good accommodation experience with various living functions!

Shanghai Planetarium

Shanghai Planetarium

🌟Highlights: The venue is very large with three floors. Both children and adults have gained knowledge. After coming back, they will draw a planet every day. Many people say that tickets are hard to get, but it's actually okay. Set the alarm at 9:28, tickets start selling at 9:30. There will be five minutes for us to fill in the information, and submit it on time at 9:35 to get the tickets. ⏳Play time: Because we couldn't make reservations for the movies and activities inside the venue, we played for half a day, but the children were still very happy. 👎Least recommended: There are too many people, you can't turn around in the first floor venue. Halfway through the queue for the electronic explanation device, they said they were all rented out.

Shanghai | Mingmen Hot Pot

Shanghai | Mingmen Hot Pot

The temperature is dropping, and a steaming hot lamb spine hot pot is just what you need. Mingmen Hot Pot has been serving delicious food from its old location to its new one, and there's always a line every night. My favorite is the lamb spine hot pot, just thinking about it makes my mouth water. The red soup lamb spine hot pot looks incredibly appetizing. The secret recipe red soup is fresh and fragrant, with a mildly spicy taste that even those who don't like spicy food can enjoy. The lamb spine inside has been stewed until it's very tender and has absorbed all the flavors of the soup. After finishing the lamb spine, continue with the hot pot. I have to praise their fresh beef tenderloin. It's freshly cut, tender, and chewy, and paired with their secret sesame sauce, it's absolutely delicious.

Shanghai | Hu Shang Xin He Restaurant.

Signature Drunken Crab Before you even take a bite, the aroma of the aged Huadiao wine hits you. The wine's fragrance is completely infused into the crab, which is plump and filled with rich, succulent meat. It's incredibly delicious. Grandma's Braised Pork The braised pork has a perfect balance of fat and lean meat. The fatty part melts in your mouth without being greasy, and the lean part is tender and springy. The thick sauce coats every piece of meat, delivering a savory and sweet taste that reminds you of childhood. Jade Shrimp Delight The shrimp are as translucent as jade beads, with a bouncy texture in every bite. The golden crab roe adds an extraordinary flavor. This must-try Shanghainese restaurant offers dishes that are simply delightful. Make sure to gather your friends and head over soon.

Beautiful walk in Shanghai’s French Quarter

The Former French Concession is an area of Shanghai popular for its tree-top lanes that form a canopy of colors as the seasons evolve. The streets are vibrant with city life, small cafes, bars and restaurants as well as local shops and neighbors going about their daily life. It is a part of Shanghai that preserves a heritage architecture and way of doing that evokes past eras and it is a great spot for photographers to test their skills and get amazing shots. The Former French Concession also keeps hidden places, inner patios and private mansions that are a mystery even for Shanghai inhabitants. Who knows? Maybe one day many more of those residence will be public and everyone will be able to enjoy their beauty. But for now, the best experience is to stroll around and enjoy the CityWalk 📍Shanghai Former French Concession 💴 Free #shanghaitrip
