My work brings me to Zürich many times each year, often several times each month. And my company usually books us at this property. I’ve probably spent more than 50 nights at this Marriott property over the last several years. I used to enjoy my stays here, but the hotel seems to be getting worn down, and is now overrun with cruise and bus tour customers, which can often overwhelm the staff. and leave the rest of their guests with lengthy waits for assistance. Normally, Renaissance properties are among my favorite Marriott brands, and one of my “go-to” hotels when traveling for pleasure, but this hotel has seen better days. The rooms are spartan and dull, the decor is dated, and they REALLY need to upgrade their bedding and mattresses. As a Lifetime BonVoy Platinum Elite member, I am entitled to Club lounge access, free breakfast, and room upgrades, among other perks. Their new SkyLounge is an improvement, but isn’t very inviting and their beverage/snack options need improvement. The breakfast buffet is more what you’d expect to find at a budget-brand hotel, with uninspired food, bad coffee and overall pretty tasteless. Thankfully it’s free, as I wouldn’t pay for it (and the isolated location doesn’t provide many alternatives). The staff try their best to be polite, but are often overwhelmed and exhausted by the tour groups. And they can be a bit surly at times. If you have a choice, stay elsewhere. You can get much better accommodations/service for the price.

Because it is a suite, the area of the hotel is the largest among all the rooms in Switzerland for 8 days. I live in the suite 4e in the residential area. It is very quiet and clean. The room hardware is very particular and the details are good. Very close to Lake Zurich, 3 minutes walk to the lake. Toiletries are L’Occitane single, non-alcoholic beverages in the mini bar are free, and breakfast is the most abundant in the Swiss itinerary, but from a Chinese perspective, there are still very few varieties. The surrounding area is not far from the tram and railway station, it is convenient to travel, there are many places to eat around, there is no shopping and small supermarket. The service is very caring, the waiter will chat with you, ask what you need, and explain very carefully. The kettle needs to be requested by the front desk, the toilet and shower space in the room is relatively small, the room is a bit old, it is well maintained, and most people can accept it.

It seems clear to me that the quality of customer service in travel has greatly deteriorated in the last three years. I understand that service providers have trouble finding and retaining people and the ones they have often don’t seem to take pride in their work. Sadly, I’ve come to accept this as the “new normal.” Which is why our recent three-night stay at the Park Hyatt in Zurich was such a welcome surprise. Not only was our room clean and comfortable but the service we received, from start to finish, was efficient and personal. Just a few examples: We had a flight delay and airport transfer difficulty arriving to Zurich and did not get to the hotel until after 1:00. The gentleman working the front desk who checked us in, got us waters, helped with our bags and personally escorted us to our rooms. He was also working the next night when we returned to the hotel after dinner. He spotted us coming through the lobby and literally ran over from the front desk, greeted us by name and asked if our room was acceptable and if there was anything he could do for us. The housekeeping staff are a bunch of ninjas. You never saw their carts in the hall but we’d leave in the morning and when we returned in the afternoon the room was made up. Perfectly. We’d leave for dinner and when we returned the room was turned down. Perfectly. We had drinks the first night at the Onyx Bar. When we returned the next night, the bartender remembered both our names and our drinks. We interacted on several occasions with the daytime concierge. I wish I remembered his name. It wasn’t just that he was knowledgeable about Zurich and responded immediately to our requests. He acted like speaking to us was the absolute highlight of his day. I know these are all little things but they added up to a wonderful stay. Plus, the hotel couldn’t be more conveniently located. Staying at the Park was a luxury item for us but, let’s face it, traveling anywhere in Switzerland is a luxury item. I would return to the Park for their level of personal service in a minute.

I haven't written a comment n times, but for everyone's convenience in finding a hotel, it's still a bit bloody! The location of the hotel is 100 meters from the train station, the city center, the room can accommodate three families, the second floor attic also has a top floor terrace, the room has more than 100 square meters, a separate kitchen, two toilets, and a jacuzzi. Zurich can hardly imagine such a value-for-money apartment (the average hotel room area in Zurich is 14-15 square meters). After setting, pay attention to receiving emails. It is a large apartment. Great and easy check in. Watt and Derrick were very helpful with the check in and info about Zurich. Loved the complimentary drinks at check in. Compact room but very modern with cool amenities. Loved the big and soft towels. Found the hidden hair dryer in a cute pouch. Water pressure in the shower was just right. They also stored our luggage for an extra day. Enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back to this hotel.

I loved this hotel. The location is central to all the sites. A friend and I stayed there; each in a single room. The rooms were quiet, comfortable, charming, spacious, clean and well lit! I stayed on the 4th floor on Muhlegasse and my friend on the 2nd facing a court yard. The staff was wonderful from check in to check out. A special thank you to Kris at the front desk! He was very sweet and helpful! I’d definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again when in Zurich.

This hotel is the most expensive and the worst hotel in Switzerland. The location is a bit far away from the railway station, a 20-minute walk, if bus 15 can be reached. The soundproofing of the room is not good, and the noise of the car outside and the children upstairs can't sleep. Other hotels in Switzerland have free transportation cards, which he does not have. Excellent home , very good breakfast ,20 mn is walking from the letzigrund stadium .Free parking if arrived in the right timeframe .Here is the positive small room , nothing serious in itself . In contrast, we can understand that only 15 days are considered as canicule moments in Zurich, sorry but given the climate change, this argument is no longer true. I stayed for around 3 months as in international visitor during COVID lockdown in 2020 in one of the large rooms. The staff were all lovely, and the room was fantastic with a big, comfortable bed, luxurious bathroom with large bathtub, and separate living area with a large desk which enabled me to easily work / study while there. The location is great, close to the lively Langstrasse but far enough away to be very quiet! Very good for business travellers - just note that there are no kitchen facilities / fridge in the room (this is made clear in the room descriptions)! Overall this was a memorable and peaceful stay at a tumultuous time, I hope I can stay in the future!
