Shiga Lake Hotel

Easy to go to Giant Ski Area because there is a slope to ski area directly. But I don't recommend for beginner to go ski area from this slope. And you can't go back to the hotel from this way, you have to go back by gondola to Yamanoeki and walk 300m. Too far if you walk with skies or snowboard. Yukata is not free of charge, you have to pay 300 yens for rent. There is a shower room in your room but you can't use it because there is ONLY cold water(hot water doesn't work). Some breakfast menu is not enough for customers. But dinner is ok.
Shiga Swiss Inn

I stayed with my child. The dry room is 1 F, and it is an automatic door, so it is very easy to get in and out with boards and skis. When you get off the stairs at the exit, you can wear a board and row about 10 meters to get out of the genre. Because there is a width of the World Cup course on the return, even the daughter of the beginner slipped to the parking lot without being forced to slip down. Once you know this ease, other hotels seem to be very troublesome. In addition, since the car is also parked in front of the hotel, it is convenient for the forgetting and sliding with the hand. It is easy to put hot springs after changing clothes when returning. For dinner, tempura and others can eat sweet potato apple cherry blossoms with matcha salt cherry blossoms, and there are many buffets, and it is saved if you start a little earlier for the cherry blossom breakfast that has been eaten too much.

The lift ticket plan was a great deal! The building is old, but the food is delicious and the bathroom is clean. The impression that the corona misfortune is working hard.
Hotel Astoria

I think the boss just opened the restaurant and made an accommodation by the way. The food was so delicious. The two of us had nothing left to eat. There was a bath in it, so I could soak almost all day, and the room was big and perfect.

Staying on skiing. A hotel that is a chitin as an accommodation facility in Shiga Kogen. When you enter the building, the lobby is large and it has a luxury feeling as a ski resort hotel. The room is large but normal. If the room does not have a refrigerator and is refrigerated, you need to put it at the front desk or in the middle of the double window. There is no inconvenience if you just stay. The bath has an atmosphere and the jade-colored hot springs create a hot spring-like atmosphere, but even if it is a day, there is no change in the morning and evening, and despite the good weather, I couldn't go out to the open-air bath from the women's bath. However, the door to the open-air bath is not well built and I am not afraid. I was quite disappointed with that. The dining has the atmosphere of the Taisho era and the interior is nice. I was a little disappointed because it tastes good but doesn't make anything special. I think breakfast was better than dinner.
Biwaike Hotel

We had a lovely experience at biwaike Hotel. It's a ski in and out and very conveniently located near the sun valley bus stop which helps if you are travelling with luggages. Check in was straight forward. Mr Tokutake who runs the small hotel was very gracious allowing us to get our ski equipment quickly. Passes were easy to get depending on the number of days you plan to ski and the area you want to ski in. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and after a long day skiing, it was wonderful to soak in the onsen that apparently is filled with natural spring water. The room itself is adequate, very big, the futons were comfortable enough. The room was well heated and there are vending machines downstairs to get drinks as well as a small convenience store to get instant noodles, ice cream and snacks. So happy with my experience there :) the team was gracious, hospitable and we couldn't have asked for anything more.
