Dolphin Youth Hostel

It was clean, it had a comfy bed, it was cheap and it was in a good location. It had a washing machine (I didn’t use this) and my room had a drying rack outside the window. The owner was friendly and helped me find the right building. The place isn’t very easy to find. You have to go into the main big building, up to floor 6 and then walk forward until you see 614. It’s on the left and it’s written in pencil on the wall so it’s easy to miss. Just be aware, you are basically living in a room inside someone’s apartment. There are several rooms that are filled with bunk beds. There is only one toilet/ shower, but it’s kept really clean. They also smoke inside in the evening. There were no lockers and no locks on the door (this seems to be pretty common in hostels in China) As a budget solo traveller, I’d stay there again.

The vibe was great. The landlord is very friendly and attentive. The place was clean. There’s free coffee and the location is amazing.
