We stayed in a room overlooking the roadway and (I think) our room's double glazing was compromised as we could clearly hear the noise of every passing car - some which were boy racers with high revs. We complained to reception (as they asked how our night had been) and they apologised. Wether they reported it I don't know.

Karen and Kasey .Super helpful and friendly would highly recommend room super comfy and tidy. Burger king and greggs. Yummy. Great location for the weary business Traveller. Would highly recommended this hotel to anyone who wants a good night sleep!

The place is shabby and needs a complete refurbishment. The room we were in (15) was very tired and the bathroom had mould and the extractor fan hardly worked. The soap dispenser kept falling off the wall in the shower too. The toilet seat didn't fit the toilet so was just falling off! The outside of the lodge looked like a gypsy site, rubbish everywhere and cigarette butts by the entrance. The staff were lovely and they did their very best but because of Greggs and Burger King on the doorstep, it was a lost cause trying to keep up with the mess. So, the fat cats in their ivory tower need to go and see the problems and deal with it. The travel lodge needs to be shut for a complete refurbishment and a fenced in car park.

We have stayed in quite a few different Travelodge's up and down the country, and this is up there in the top 3. It's by far the best welcome we have ever had, the lady on reception was lovely (her name badge said Kim) and she deserves some recognition 👍🏻 The location was perfect to go out and about (not so much if you don't drive) It was very clean and tidy and the room was very spacious. Will be staying here again when visiting the north east and a brilliant stop off en route to Scotland.

We booked last minute & it was cheap. What let it down was the tired state of the bathroom, staff & guests constantly smoking/vaping at the front which stunk the room out & set off my asthma plus it was so noisy early in the morning from trunks sound the horns. Other Travelodges have been far better

Room had dirty marks on walls and leftover rubbish under the bed. Bathroom had a dirty cloth left on the floor.

With Travelodge you get what you pay for. Inside was basic but very clean and staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. However the outside area was very dirty and littered, topped off with a rubbish skip right at the front door. How this was allowed to be placed there is beyond me. I realise Travelodge isint the only tenant (Burgerking, Greggs and a petrol station) but no effort is made to maintain the overall area. Bins in plain view, rubbish strewn around and and overal lair of neglect. with both littering and general landscaping. Next time I think i would pay a few pounds extra and stay in the Holiday Inn up the road. Purely to get away from the dirt..

Clean rooms Great staff Thanks to Karen and Ruth for making my stay worth it Very kind polite Reception very clean very modern rooms beds are very comfy locks on windows which is great for kids/dogs Greggs and Burger King and Greggs just over the road
