We paid standard double room. Realised given a compact double room. Hotel totally run down, garden overgrown weeds and grassy. Indoor pool was poorly and dirty. Room pillows uncomfortable, hot and smelly from the kitchen, had to open windows seagulls was noisy we us up. Air con charging £10 (£50 deposit) . Good size shower and water pressure. Has the amenities in the room. Time to change the hotel managers.
Hotel feels dirty carpets , poor finishing with paints, chips wood. Breakfast just low qualifies, no varieties , just too basic.

A very easy stay at Durley Dean, myself, my three daughters and the two dogs all shared a family room. The family room had a very comfortable double bed and a set of bunk bed.

The hotel is a bit old, domestic three-star level, but still clean and tidy. very quiet. It is about 100 to 200 meters away from the sea, which is very close, but it needs to go down a small slope of about 50 meters. The weather in July is still a bit cold, and it is impossible to go to the sea. The city is very small, turn right out of the hotel for about 1 kilometer and you will see the landmark of the Ferris wheel. It is not far to go to Old harry rocks and Durdle door within half an hour and 1 hour.

A repeat visit and didn't disappoint. A step ladder is needed for getting into bed but it was really comfortable once in! This time we had a sea view too.

Checking was fine and friendly! Room was ok on first glance but then noticed dirt around the room. Decor nice and not dated and lovely thick curtains. Was a pleasant stay until we got a rude call at just gone midnight by another resident pretending to be a member of staff accusing us of having a party in our room! As I believed it was a member of staff I answered all questions like our room number who was present in the room etc. For the call then to explain that he was the other side of our wall next door and could hear us and how lovely it was to be able to speak over the phone with myself. To say my sister and I were now freaked out was an understatement. Spoke to the real reception who did not understand what I was explaining and was told this was not possible and no one from reception had called. I said I knew it wasn’t and was another hotel guest who had called and I want this sorted. Nothing was done so my sister and I barricaded our door until the morning as we felt very vulnerable. Issued raised again ant reception who are forwarding it on To owner to get in contact.
Breakfast staff were amazing, very welcoming and could not so enough for you. Such a shame as we would of like to stay again.

Good price and modern room. The surrounding area was a bit noisy into the night sadly, but otherwise a pleasant stay.
