WorldMark Victoria

A completely ruined Mother's Day trip. Thanks to the complete lack of customer service, empathy, and situational awareness, the staff of this WorldMark location have failed. Led by Travis Sedley, the General Manager, our experience was so poor that was were forced to book a room elsewhere and leave the timeshare resort. We booked a 2 bedroom penthouse for a few days to explore the area for Mother's Day. When we arrived we were told our room was not ready and that it would take 3 hours or less. The staff pointed us to a waiting area to where we could utilize the WiFi and hang out. As time passed we did not engage much with the staff and patiently waited out the time. Upon reaching our 3 hour completion time we requested a status update to our room, to which we were told by the GM "your room isn't ready. Check-in time is 4PM". We informed him that we had already spoken to another associate and they stated we needed to wait for 3 hours, which we had, and now he was moving the goal post. So we asked when there would be a room available and he stated he didn't have an answer at that moment. Obviously this did not feel welcoming. So after another hour of time we were told a room was available. We had been assigned a 1st floor walk up room. This was all that they could give us, in spite of our reservation and being OWERS in the WorldMark system. The GM stated "my other owners book months in advance; you booked last minute". Our reservation was for a 2 bedroom penthouse stay and instead we were getting a ground level room with a view of the street. We informed Travis that this was not an acceptable solution to the situation. As women traveling alone in a different country it was not safe for us to stay on a first floor room with the entry door facing the lowest level. It would not make sense to place us there and we would like a more secure location for our room. The response from the GM was the final straw to this situation: “We are sold out and do not have any other rooms to give you. A penthouse is 2 bed rooms and means it has a view. The only room we have that qualifies for that is the one we are offering. There is nothing else we can do for you, as we are sold out”. As owners in the WorldMark network since 1990, this was the WORST experience we have had in our 34 years. Never have we been turned away from a property or not even offered an alternative solution to a presented problem. This was a complete failure of the WorldMark leadership and a terrible example being set for other employees at this property. This is a location we will never return to nor recommend to any person we know. We travel monthly at this point within our ownership and truly are disappointed with this experience. A ruined trip and holiday.

Good location. Awesome suite with even washer and dryer. Friendly staff. Good views, good eating places near by. Good walking trails along ocean. Awesome fish and chips at fishermen’s warf next door. Glad to have option to stay here and would like to again in six months.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom which also had 2 bathrooms and full kitchen, excellent hospitality, excellent location where you can walk to everything, beautiful view. Loved this place and hope to come back someday:)

Resort is within a 20 minute walking distance to downtown. Really good Italian restaurant across the street lots of great restaurants in the neighborhood. Use the pool every day nice heated saltwater pool and the hot tub was a bonus

Great location, within walking distance to downtown, a skip and a jump to fisherman wharf and confectionary store, David Foster parkway path is at your foot steps. Weather wise in March is pretty wet and cool

WorldMark Victoria is centrally located, which allows lots of walking to events and restaurants. Our suite overlooked Fishernan's Resort, which was delightful. It was close to a coffee shop and close to get fish & chips right from the wharf. Parking underground was a bonus. Water taxi is available within a short walking distance.

Once again, WorldMark Victoria completely impressed me. The rooms are wonderful. The location is great. The staff are top notch. They are always welcoming and friendly. They go above and beyond for their travellers. This is my favourite place to stay in Victoria.

Great location and view of Victoria Harbour from our unit’s balcony. Clean and spacious. Wish our stayed would have been longer to enjoy more. I will stay here again.

Hotel room is clean and well equipped. It is two minutes away from fisherman wharf. Will definitely stay there again for my next trip
