Mandarin Oriental Pudong Shanghai

This was my second stay at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong, and as always, the service was impeccable and attentive. The breakfast was excellent. It will definitely be my first choice next time I'm in Shanghai. Although it's a bit far from Hongqiao Airport, a comfortable stay is what matters most, and taking a taxi to Xintiandi was also very convenient.

My stay at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong, Shanghai was absolutely amazing! The location on the Huangpu River is superb. The room was spacious, elegant, and spotless, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering breathtaking river views. The Lujiazui skyline at night created an incredible atmosphere ✨. The bedding was soft and comfortable, the bathroom facilities were high-end, and the shower pressure was excellent, making for an incredibly comfortable stay. Steven's service was gentle, thoughtful, and meticulous, from check-in to responding to daily needs – efficient and heartwarming. The breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. Overall, it was luxurious and restorative, making it the top choice for accommodation in Shanghai. Highly recommended!

This was my first time staying at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong, Shanghai, and from the moment I walked in, I felt an exceptional warmth in their service. I especially want to give a huge shout-out to Jennifer at the front desk – she truly goes above and beyond to meet guests' needs. I had some special requests for this stay (room orientation, quietness, etc.), and Jennifer not only listened patiently but also quickly provided solutions that exceeded my expectations. She helped us secure a room with a stunning view that was also very quiet. Throughout the process, she maintained a genuine smile, communicating efficiently and warmly, completely devoid of any robotic, procedural feel. During my stay, I encountered a minor issue, and after contacting the front desk, Jennifer was the first to follow up and handle it. She even proactively checked back later to ensure everything was satisfactory. This feeling of 'being genuinely cared for' is incredibly rare in today's hotel experiences. The hardware at MO is, of course, top-notch, but Jennifer's service is truly what makes this hotel shine. Full marks, highly recommended! I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai, and I hope to encounter outstanding staff like Jennifer again!

I've always wanted to stay at the MO, and finally had the perfect opportunity to experience it on my return to Shanghai. The room was incredibly well-maintained; you'd never guess it's a hotel that's been open for ten years. The bathtub was huge, and I fumbled around making myself a bubble bath in the evening. Watching the night view of the river, all the day's fatigue just melted away. A huge thanks to Steven, the Front Office Manager, for his warm and helpful assistance with my issues during my stay, and also to the young man who checked me out (I'm so sorry, I forgot to ask for your name!). Walking through the public areas, you can really feel the kindness and enthusiasm from all the staff. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Shanghai!

OMG! My Nth stay here, and I'm still absolutely charmed! A big shout-out to Sophie from the front desk – she's not only beautiful but also incredibly thoughtful with top-notch service! The moment I walked in, I felt the warmth of home. The handwritten welcome note was a lovely touch, and my room was perfectly arranged in advance. Super satisfied! Yong Yi Ting (the restaurant) is still my favorite; the food quality is consistently excellent, truly deserving of its Michelin star!

The room was spotless and well-arranged, with excellent soundproofing and blackout curtains, allowing for a very comfortable and restful sleep. The toiletries in the bathroom were also of good quality. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and patient, and the check-in process was smooth and convenient.

Whenever I'm back in Shanghai, I usually stay at the Mandarin Oriental. Everything was perfect – I slept well, ate well, and the service was excellent. It's rare to find croissants that actually taste buttery, haha! Special shout-out to David at the front desk for his attentive and efficient service.

The monkey design is absolutely adorable, love it! 👍 Was the vanity chair not used for a long time? There was a layer of dust when I pulled it out, so I'm deducting one star for cleanliness. There are many restaurants nearby, but getting in and out requires a bit of a winding path. This might be subjective, but I personally don't like it, so I'm deducting one star for the environment. Thanks to the front desk lady who escorted me to my room. I casually asked her for a nail clipper, but nothing came of it; no response whatsoever. Also, the pool staff's attitude was so-so, so I'm deducting one star for service. The facilities felt a bit dated, perhaps due to the traditional Chinese style. Personally, I'm deducting one star for this.
