The property is adequate, if unexceptional and the "suites" constitute what is essentially a studio apar**ent. Linen service consists of a bag of towels dropped outside the door by house keeping, My experience would have otherwise been positive if I had not been publicly humiliated by the day manager who identified himself as Marc (something I now have begun to doubt). During breakfast on my last day (as I chose to leave after the incident) the manager approached me in the main dining area to address a matter which I believe to be the result of a misunderstanding. Regardless of the reasoning this was a matter should not have been broached in public before the other guests. I attempted to address the matter with him in an entirely polite manner he accused me of "raising my voice", an absolute untruth and I believe it to have been an affectation on his part to further humiliate me. When I made the comment that I make efforts to pursue these types of matters rather than leave them unresolved I was told that I could try but it wouldn't matter and that I would be wasting my time. All of my attempts at a polite amiable resolution were summarily dismissed. As I do have an unconventional appearance I suppose I should have been tipped off by the manager's judgmental looks from the start and immediately have sought lodging elsewhere. Therefore, a weeks stay (and at their rates, no less) was absolutely mired by a judgmental and rude manager. For this reason I will never lodge at another Sonesta under any circumstances and I advise all others to do likewise
