Our 3rd Stay at the Wonderfull Paradore de Trujillo. Excellent Hotel. All Staff, Friendly & Accommodating in every Way. The Rooms are all Lovely, Comfortable & Very Clean We shall return again soon. We cannot recommend this Hotel enough.Trujillo is a Beautiful Town with Much History to Explore.

The location of the parador was excellent for visiting the city. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very clean and comfortable and we slept well. We would definitely stay here again.

A good Parador with friendly and helpful staff. However you could sense and see that the staff were under pressure due to lack of staffing ie only one man to manage bar duty, laying of tables for the evening including for three large groups, and clearing away empty glasses etc.. at breakfast we had a similar experience - this did not bode well for a tranquil stay. As we said the staff were very friendly and helpful even under this pressure and cannot be faulted. Our room was spacious and had a seperate lounge area complete with tea and coffee making facilities, car parking was onsite, and the town centre was just a few minutes walk away with many restaurants etc.

Outstanding Parador. We have stayed in many Paradors over the years but this was by far the best. Converted tastefully from a medieval monastery it offers exceptional accommodation and facilities that cannot be faulted. The staff were amazing and went out of their way to make guests welcome. They were all extremely pleasant and highly efficient. Although we elected a superior room we were treated to a wonderful suite - Ki understand in keeping with all such rooms. The restaurant offered exceptional cuisine. The Parador is within the medieval city and offers interest walks. Well worth a detour - we will certainly do so again!

Excellent hotel. Quiet and spacious room with comfortable beds, sitting area and good-sized bathroom. Attractive decor throughout. Good swimming pool. Helpful staff. Quiet, but close to centre of town, with enormous main square and lots of interesting historical buildings.

The building certainly doesn't disappoint, it's gorgeous - close up and from the castle above the town. Trujillo is well worth the effort of getting there, and not much visited by the English as far as we could tell. Our room was huge, comfortable and well-equipped (although not many paradores seem to put kettles in the rooms - personally I like a hot drink first thing in the morning and last thing at night). The attitude of some of the staff service was less impressive; and the fact that the swimming pool wasn't open yet when it was 30 degrees outside was definitely disappointing. But overall, we had a good time.

Once again, a lovely old religious building given ongoing life as a Parador. Very conveniently situated to explore the fascinating old town of Trujillo. Clean and comfortable room, with some lovely views up to the castle and town. Staff helpful, and the walk they recommended round the narrow streets and up to the castle was well worth it. Good, typical parador breakfast. Parador parking recommended, as not many options in the narrow streets.

We booked a superior room here (room 315) - big mistake. The room was not as shown on the website, it was cold and dark (only had one window of less than 1 metre square and we had to rely on artificial light even in the middle of the day. The beds were so firm they were rock hard and the duvets didn’t keep us warm in the night. There were no comforters provided for extra warmth. The bathroom was very cold with no heating and it was necessary to run both taps and the shower for 10 minutes in order for the hot water to come through. On the plus side the breakfast was very good as it usually is in the Paradors We love Trujillo, but sadly when we return we probably won’t be staying at the Parador
