Tyndale B&B Torquay

I often do a lot of research before choosing a bed and breakfast. I was influenced in booking by the number of excellent reviews. The Tyndale Boutique B&B exceeded my expectations. Everything has been thought through as to give guests the perfect B&B experience. From the Prosecco on arrival, hot towels, breakfast cooked to order on the morning, comfy beds and tasteful decor. David & Tonny have an excellent establishment….it is beyond five star. It was a relaxing break…they were willing to go the extra mile for their guests. An amusing coincidence was that the weekend we were staying all the male guests bar one were called David as well as one of the owners. So it was easy to remember their names. I don’t think they arranged that for me or maybe they did? Recommended!!

This was an unexpected delight. Probably one of the best B and B experiences we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, Tonny and David provided top class service - helping with baggage, settling us into our beautifully appointed room with treats and gifts. The Tynedale is nicely positioned in walking distance of the seafront, and plentiful features of Torquay, which our hosts have excellent local knowledge of - and an infectious enthusiasm for. The Tyndale also goes the extra mile at breakfast! Fantastic variety of options, and a really good cooked menu beautifully presented - with bucks fizz! The hosts have years of customer service experience, and it really shows. A top class B and B!

Excellent location, quiet, safe and peaceful. Free parking on site. Lovely room and amenities. Good choices of great breakfast options. Excellent and very friendly hosts. Would definitely visit again. Very comfortable sitting area downstairs with a variety of snacks. Cosy Sofa is in the room.

What a truly wonderful stay at the Tyndale B&B. Wonderful hosts, we couldn't have been treated any better. The room was magnificent and had so many lovely extras. Everything was done to a very high standard. The breakfast and options available were out of this world! So much variety, locally sourced and freshly made. This is a wonderful gem and somewhere we will definitely return in the future. Thank you for a very memorable stay.

**Immaculate B and B with a personal touch** Small, but perfectly formed, The Tyndale is everything we want and need from a B and B. With fewer rooms than many others, this makes for a more intimate experience. Upon arrival, you are treated to freshly baked brownies. Your hosts, Rick and Able, make it their business to give you the space to enjoy your break but share local knowledge to help you to discover new places to enjoy during your stay. Cleanliness in each room, and we've stayed in them all over time, is exemplary. I've NEVER stayed in somewhere so clean, well kept and meticulously managed but all done in such a subtle way. It is just such a special place to visit which is why we keep returning. Well located, just a 5 minute walk from the stunning Torre Abbey and a couple of minutes more from the seafront and harbour. Only a short drive, bus or train ride from other local beaches and towns that show the array of beauty that Devon has to offer. Local restaurants and pubs give you a warm welcome too. The Tyndale is reasonably priced but delivers above and beyond expectation. Thanks for a beautiful stay, as always xx

We have just come back from celebrating our anniversary and 2 nights at the Tyndale in Torquay and what can we say.. wow! David and Tommy do Bed and Breakfast on another level, it has to be the best B&B we have ever stayed in, from the moment you pull up and welcomed with a glass of bubbles and a lovely hot hand towel to freshen you up after your drive, you know its going to be a memorable stay. The room was lovely decorated, with the most comfortable huge bed and lovely selection of teas and coffees, an Ipad to assist planning your stay in Torquay and a fantastic shower, the room has everything you could want, and more. Breakfast didnt disappoint either, everything you could wish for, from lovely pastries to cooked full english and lovely homemade smoothies. Oh should also mention the homemade cake that will welcome you in your room, again lovely. The lovely touches Tommy and David did for us made the weekend, from the lovely little gift and card, to the little goodie back on departure, they know how to treat their guests, thank you to you both, and we will definitely be back, Sarah and Kevin

Just got back from a 4 night stay and can honestly say this B & B is probably one of the best we have ever stayed in. The hosts Rick and Able were really welcoming and from when we arrived nothing was too much trouble. We were shown to our room (4) by Rick and we were not disappointed. The room was immaculate, lovely furnishings, toiletries and the added personal touch of homemade brownies (they were delicious) The breakfast was excellent so much to choose from and Ables homemade bread was just perfect. The next time we are going to Torquay this will definitely be the place we would go back to and would recommend to anyone to stay here if you are looking for a luxury B & B at an affordable price.

Exceptional B&B and quite simply the best I have ever stayed in. David and Tonny have certainly nailed hospitality which comes second nature to them. On arrival I was greeted with a warm welcome along with a warm flannel to refresh my hands and face which was incredibly nice. Then followed a cup of fresh coffee and a chat to explain everything. The room was spotless with a fridge containing fresh mild and cold filtered water. There was an amazing selection of teas and instant coffee and coffee pods too with the coffee maker. Other treats included a slice of fresh cake under a glass cover to keep fresh, biscuits and chocolates to accompany the drinks. Breakfast was really tasty. With a wide choice on on menu: including full cooked options, porridge, cereals, fruit and fresh smoked salmon, cold meats and cheese. It was a wonderful stay and David and Tony went out of their way to make me welcome and comfortable. I stayed on business and raved about the hospitality to colleagues. I'll certainly be back when next I need to travel to Torquay. Quite simply the best !

This was our 7th visit to The Tyndale Boutique B & B over the years. David and Tonny are the 3rd owners. We didn’t think it was possible to improve on perfection but they have! We received a wonderful warm welcome from them both. They are a charming couple. Nothing is too much trouble for them. As I am vegan it is often a challenge for some people, but David’s choices of breakfast dishes for me were outstanding! Everything I had was absolutely delicious! The Tyndale is a beautiful house, with luxury fittings, furnishings, bedding and towels. We wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else. We feel that we have made two new friends and can’t wait to return next year! 5 Stars and highly recommend.
