In Tokyo, where land is at a premium, this B&B is small, exquisite, and very Japanese-style, suitable for accommodation of less than four people. The B&B is located five minutes away from Sensoji Temple. It is surrounded by typical Japanese-style houses and there are many izakayas. Shopping, dining and transportation are very convenient. There are two toilets and a shower room on the upper and lower floors of the house. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator and washing machine, just like the picture.

Best value for money for a family trip
The location is right across the street from Senshoji Temple, and there is a convenience store nearby. The neighborhood is quiet and clean, and there are many good restaurants. I asked for a taxi on the first floor, and they caught it and guided me there. They were very kind.
Checking in and out with a kiosk was more convenient than other hotels.
There is a Don Quijote within 1km on foot, and the accommodation is spacious.
Since we were with children, the children played in the living room.
The kitchen had clean dishes, and we used the microwave, refrigerator, freezer, and induction stove comfortably.
The air conditioner can be adjusted separately for each room, so it was convenient.
Ah! We stayed on the 9th floor, and it had a view of Senshoji Temple.
This kind of luxury for this price!!!!!♡

We enjoyed our stay here! Although the hotel is farther away from the Tokyo Metro than we anticipated. It is near the Tsukaba Express line, about 5 minutes walk; but you will mostly use the Asakusa Line, Ginza Line etc all part of the Tokyo Metro, to get to most places. The Tokyo Metro is about 15 min walk from the hotel. But we appreciated that it was near the hustle and bustle of Asakusa.
You'll be near the Sensoji Temple, a lot of restaurants and shops, most especially the 24/7 Don Quijote. There are also pharmacies nearby for any emergencies.
We arrived at around 4pm, and there was a front desk staff present to help us check in. They speak good english and understand it well too, so you wouldn't have any trouble communicating with them. They aren't around in the morning, I believe they are only there from the afternoon til night time. We checked out really early, around 5AM and no one was there but upon check in they instructed us to just leave the keys in the box at the front desk. Also, they leave notes on the front desk that can be helpful for you. Like they leave the telephone out just in case you need to call a cab, or call whomever; and if you ever need any toiletries, towels etc refilled, you can easily grab what you need at the hotel lobby where they have everything ready for you.
The hotel also has an elevator, which was so convenient given that we were carrying 4 baggages, and we were almost at the top floor.
The hotel room is just enough for two people. The beds were two single beds pushed together. The bed and pillows were comfy to sleep in especially after a day of walking 20k+ steps in the city. There is space for your luggages under the beds so we didn't have any trouble with that. We had two 26” luggages and one 30” luggage and one duffle bag.
The bathroom has toiletries ready, hand and body towels, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc. Also a hair dryer and extra toilet paper rolls. I'd say I have all that I need in the bathroom. The toilet has an automatic bidet and heated seat. Shower and toilet is separated by a door. Shower and bathtub has a heater.
I wasn't sure if they offered laundry services for clothes, but there is a nearby self-service laundromat that we used before out trip ended.
Overall I'd recommend this to someone who is on a budget, wants a comfortable stay, and most importantly is ok with walking long distances (but tbh if you're going to Japan you definitely have to be ok with walking A LOT).

The location is a bit inconvenient, since the Asakusa Station is not the JR nor Metro one. There is no elevator so people with big luggage will be difficult. Lzz

Outstanding
GGuest UserI am a book lover myself, and came to stay here for 2 nights in March a week before Easter, mainly for the library theme and book selection. The hotel itself, the book lounge, and the book libraries on each floor was all very very good. However, upon my checking in, it was obvious that the male receptionist on the left pay more attention to Caucasian guests rather than me (an Asian solo female traveller). I had the impression they just wanted to get rid of me asap, and then served the Caucasian guests behind me.
During the whole of my check in process, no one mentioned anything about the special libraries on each floor, no one told me about the free beverages offered “at the far end corner for the reception desk”, and definitely no one mentioned anything about he QRcode library tour!!! I stayed for two nights and it was only after the first night (when I read the books inside my room that I knew of ANY of the services I mentioned above). Of course one may say I could read all those on the signage’s provided in the property. But then…
Upon walking into the reception desk the next day, I did hear the same male receptionist explained in great detail (everything I mentioned above)in English to other Caucasian guests.
I like the library premise of the property, the books selections were great, exhibition on the first floor was quite nice, however, I am not sure if I would stay for a second time, knowing how they treated solo female Asian guest whom they assumed was not civilised enough (that was my impression) to deserve a thorough introduction about this lovely bookish hotel from them. Quite disappointed to be frank, especially knowing how much history this hotel has included!!
PPei XuanVery good location.
Across the bridge- it’s takashimaya and Tokyo hands. Walking distance to shopping areas within SHINJUKU and train station. Only setback is the 7-11 operating hours is rather short over weekends. And it’s a distance from convenience stores. Otherwise great view, and clean amenities. No microwave- to note as well!
GGuest UserExcellent hotel and special mention to Justyna
Location: Prime spot in the heart of Shinjuku and one minute walk to Shinjuku station exit 4, and less than five minutes to other exits.
Room: Extremely clean, modern, spacious, fantastic housekeeping.
Facilities: Washing machine, dryer, hot/cold water dispenser.
Service: Top notch hospitality from staff who are very friendly and courteous – special mention to Justyna who was extremely helpful with my queries days leading up to my check-in, as well as throughout my 7-night stay, and she always ensures that my requests are fulfilled promptly. Thank you Justyna and team!
GGuest UserI would definitely return to this hotel again. The staff was very attentive and the location is fantastic. The room we had stayed in was newly renovated and the interior design was very user friendly. The breakfast at the premier lounge was amazing.
LloobenjaminExcellent service staff especially Miss Fujita mending the checkin counter. She has been very friendly, helpful by providing us with a lot of information, explained in detail about the hotel facilities and even recommended us to some site seeing locations in Asakusa. Hotel is in a very strategic location within the heart of Asakusa, accessible by 2 metro line, with great 7-11 just a few steps away from the hotel. Definitely going to repeat our stay there in the future.
SSALLESWe had a nice stay at Washington Hotel Akihabara. The hotel is well located, nearby metro lines and local trains which allow us to easily move around Tokyo. Although the room is small, it is well designed and it big enough for few nights. The bed is not very large but comfortable. We managed to sleep with our 2 yo kid. You can also choose between soft or hard pillow. The bathroom was quite big with a nice bathtub. Around the hotel, you have plenty of restaurant and convenient stores. The buffet breakfast was great and everything we try tastes really good ! There is a large choice between Japanese food and wester food. Finally, there is a laundry area which was really convenient.
AACThe hotel is conveniently located, right above the convenient store. It is just 7 mins from Kensei Ueno station, which has train to go to Narita Airport within 40 mins. It is only 3 mins walk from JR station, which only took about 30+ mins to Haneda airport. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Near Ueon Park, with a few Museums. Breakfast is good. Highly recommended.
AAnonymous Useri booked the triple room as it was the only room left. there was space for only 1 large luggage - the room was a little old but bed and duvet surprisingly comfy. onsen was small so it got a little crowded as the hotel was full that night. location was great - tho the nearest ikebukuro stn exit with lift, C9 (vs 20b), is a little further from the station. excellent authentic chinese food nearby (豪妈 on google maps), and a family mart just across the street. great hotel!
GGuest UserI love the location it’s super convenient. Staff are super polite and smiley.
Service wise is not good too many strange rules firstly, there is no phone in the room. In case u need one it’s near the elevator on each floor to speak to the staff.
The twin bed are way too big for us 2/3 of the room. I can’t even open my suitcase easily.
Only one elevator in this 14 storeys hotel right next to their emergency stairways. There is a sign saying if you are in a rush please use the stairways but we were on the higher floor and it’s so cold February a few degrees Celsius ???? Well no thanks I shall wait patiently then……
No daily cleaning service we stayed 5 nights the hotel offered one time cleaning during our stay. All the dirty linens and garbage have to be placed outside your door by 10am if new towels needed. Strangely one bottle complimentary water was given to 2 guests daily together in a bag of towels and slippers toothbrush garbage bags. Only one washing machine ¥600 35mins, dryer ¥300 60mins available (cashless payment only) Onsen too small and poor facilities.
