I recently stayed at Hotel Sunroute Asakusa and had an overall pleasant experience. The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes’ walk from Tawaramachi Station on the Ginza Line, and it’s also close to Asakusa’s main attractions such as Senso-ji Temple, Kaminarimon Gate, and the Nakamise shopping street. The location makes it easy to explore the area or access other parts of Tokyo.
The room was compact but well-designed, typical of many Tokyo business hotels. It was very clean and equipped with all the essentials — a comfortable bed, air purifier, mini fridge, and free Wi-Fi. The bathroom amenities were of good quality, and the housekeeping staff did a great job maintaining cleanliness throughout my stay.
Staff members were friendly and efficient, though English proficiency varied. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the front desk staff were happy to provide maps and directions.
There’s also a convenience store nearby and several restaurants within walking distance, which made dining simple and flexible. While the hotel doesn’t have many luxury facilities, it’s perfect for travelers looking for a clean, quiet, and affordable base in the heart of Asakusa.
