Madani Hotel

Please improve cleanliness. Dirty spot and moldy everywhere in the bathroom. Carpet dusty. Yellow spot on bedsheet. ********** on the toilet seat. You didnt do housekeeping. You just clear the dustbin. Very bad condition especially in the bathroom. Please change the toilet seat. Seem like people step on the seat using slipper. Very black and scratchy toilet seat. The condition is not worth to call even budget hotel.

Gerard's "Backpackers" Roomstay No Children Adults Only
4.5/59 Reviews
We were staying 4 nights at Gerald's. The accomodation is in a very good condition and very clean and offers enough space if you need to work remote. The staff is extremely friendly and well informed about hiking trails, restaurants and everything you need to know. The common kitchen is basically equipped, enough to prepare snacks, sandwiches, etc. During our stay we had one minor issue with the shower. For us it was a bit tricky and it took a while to get hot water. Besides everything was great and I can strictly recommend to stay at Gerald's.

Overall, everything is ok, because for sleeping and a quick rest, take a cheap room with a single bed
Golden Lodge

Book for attached bathroom but water heater inside room 212 hot water not functional well, suddenly turn into cold water in the middle of shower and has to used shared bathroom outside. The room quite small but all the equipment is fine accept the pillow to thin and their bed quite smelly..no television provided inside room but can use at downstairs at the dining area but it's so cold outside...overall i satisfied with it bcoz of their locations is nice and near to many attractions.
Traveller Bunker Hostel 1
4.2/54 Reviews
One of the cheaper options in Cameron Highlands. The hostel is quite clean and the beds are comfortable. There is a light, fan, socket and shelf in each bed with a curtain to enable privacy. You are not provided with free towels or shower products, but you can rent towels for 5 ringgit. The shower in our room was temperamental and was sometimes very cold or had no water pressure, but it was ok for the most part. Wi-Fi worked excellently throughout the whole hostel which is great. There is a public fridge available for use and the hostel offers laundry for 18 ringgit for 3kg (we didn’t use this as it is cheaper to do self service nearby). The location is perfect and it’s very close to the limited number of shops and restaurants in Tanah Rata. You can also book tours through the hostel and there is walking tours every day. The staff are ok but reinforce rules about housekeeping very firmly, a bit too ‘school like’ for me, but understandable to try and keep the hostel clean and quiet. Overall, a good budget stay but I’m glad we didn’t have to spend more than 3 nights, but perfect for backpackers on a budget.
