I took foreign friends to explore Taiyuan in Shanxi on the weekend and chose this high-end hotel located around Jinci and Guxian. I was not disappointed! Of course, the decoration of the room is aging (otherwise it would not be the current price, how many so-called luxury hotels have such a garden investment and geographical advantage). I would like to praise the little brother of the battery car and the sister of the waiter at the water bar in the lobby. I returned to the hotel around 10 o'clock last night and saw that the lobby bar was still open. On a whim, I said I wanted to buy ice cream and ice water for my children. My sister said that there was no supply of these two things at this time, but asked me to wait. After making a phone call, a little brother picked me up at the entrance of the lobby in a battery car and pulled me from Building No. 9 to near the staff dormitory. He took me to a canteen owned by the staff and bought the snacks and ice cream that the children wanted. , ice water. The little brother was polite all the way, helped me with things, and proudly explained to me the history and scenery of the State Guesthouse, as well as the attractions around Jinci Temple that are worth visiting. It was past 10 o'clock in the evening, and I wanted to buy some snacks to enjoy this kind of VIP service. I have stayed in so many hotels and never enjoyed this one before. We must praise the little brother of the battery car and the sister of the water bar in the lobby last night.

The location and environment of the hotel are very good, the owner is warm and hospitable, enthusiastic service, the hotel is two minutes south to the Jinci scenic spot. Five minutes north to the ancient county town of Taiyuan, an internet celebrity town. The ancient county town has electronic syllables, light shows, mostly snacks, and it is delicious and inexpensive. It is very lively.

The location of the hotel is a little remote, quite close to the airport and Jinzhong. The surrounding environment is very good. It is said to be a wealthy area in Taiyuan. The room is large and you can see the Fen River. The bathroom has a bathtub. Some of the drainage facilities are a bit old. The service is very good. The breakfast is rich, with both Chinese and Western options, including freshly ground coffee, freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, and lamb soup wonton noodles. The hotel has a swimming pool and a gym. For this reason, I went to Decathlon in Yuci to buy equipment and booked it for two nights. The overall impression was good. I renewed my reservation at the hotel for another day. I will stay here again next time!

This is going to be a very long review 😂. I arrived there a little earlier than the check-in time which luckily they didn't let me wait and attended to me, checking in took quite some time and I had no idea cash was not accepted so there was a lot of back and forth before finally accepting. Now I was ready to pay and I almost shouted from the amount they mentioned, claiming I was to pay a deposit of almost 2K in addition to the full amount of the total days I had to be there and that I would get it back when I check out. So now I was confused about the meaning of deposit here😂 and I explained I did not see any such information which they claimed its a policy and that was the fault of Trip.com. So they now said okay I could reduce the deposit to 1K and I just started laughing cos I only had an extra 1.2K for Miscellaneous cos the next day was my birthday so if I give you that money then I'm not going to be eating for all the days I would be there. So I ended up giving them about 600.....I got to my room and it was beautiful that made me a little calm and try to get over my frustration. Now there was no notice on the fridge so I thought the things in there were complimentary 🤣 and unfortunately I think the A.C was broken and it was quite uncomfortable so after several calls (trying to get someone who could speak English hmmmm) even after a supposed repairman came to check it out it still was hot af, they finally changed my room 🤦🏽‍♀️. I finally was able to move my things to the other room at the other end of the hall cos I had already unpacked and taken a shower. Then there it was, an even more beautiful room with an incredible view😍 which I was glad to had moved cos I hated the view in the previous room. At that moment I was already frustrated and just wanted to sleep but I later received a fruit platter which they said was free and I was like and are the things in the fridge free too cos I'd seen the drinks list with prices so my stupid self thought that was to buy incase I needed extra. They said NO they're not and here I had already drank a bottle of juice and chocolate from the previous room in addition to the new room😂. Now I started calculating and I knew my deposit was gone. To be honest I was disappointed as to whether it was carelessness on my part or Trip.com didn't give much details. I just slept. Next day, during the afternoon I received a call from the manager wishing me a happy birthday and also from the restaurant that they were bringing me a cake, so I just decided to get over everything and enjoy my free cake at least 😂. I received the cake and a gift and it was nice and I was actually impressed by the effort they put into making my day special ❤️. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go to the pool or see any other part of the hotel cos of the whole experience I wasn't really feeling it. But overall I loved the place and the view was incredible and after explaining things to the manager the next day, she apologized for the miscommunication and didn't charge me for the minibar and also I got my deposit back. Hopefully I might visit again someday and I will be prepared next time so I'm not taken by any surprises.
