Tai Hope Hotel

The location is near Nanjing Fuxing, about a 10 minute walk. The hotel is quite dated, but if you are on a budget, given Taipei's high hotel room rates, I feel Tai Hope is quite worth its price.

We only stayed one night before an early flight out of Songshan airport (15-20 min by foot). The receptionist was amiable. The room was old and worn out, especially the bathroom with split tiles, but overall it was reasonably clean. Soundproofing is not the best, we could hear traffic noise. But at 1600 TWD on a Monday in Taipei, I think it was already better than expected.

The hotel was in a good location. It was clean and staff were friendly.

A small and basic but very convenient hotel in the heart of the Songshan District, within a short (10 min) walk from the Nanjing-Fuxing Station. It's a bit dated, but everything works, so why fix what's not broken. Rooms are small but reasonable size. The rates were the most reasonable in the area for the March-April high season 2026 (I stay in central Taipei quite often and know the range). The staff are very friendly and helpful, some speak English. IMPROVEMENT SUGGESTED: During my stay my room didn't have sufficient power outlets, there was no desk outlet for the laptop, the bedside power outlet was occupied by the night light. Adding a couple of outlets would make the stay more convenient. Aside from this I wouldn't change anything at this hotel, please keep it as is, and maintain the reasonable rates.

A very good option overall, especially for budget travelers. I would rate the hotel 5 out of 5 for cleanliness, location, and service. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. It is situated very close to a metro station, which makes getting around Taipei very convenient. For travelers planning to explore the city using public transport, the location works very well. Service was also very good. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. In terms of amenities, travelers should manage expectations. The hotel provides the basics but not everything you might find in a full-service hotel. It is recommended to bring your own toiletries as only minimal items are provided in the room. Breakfast is simple and delivered as a packed option, typically something like a sandwich or a burger-style item. It is basic but perfectly adequate. One nice touch is that the hotel offers free coffee throughout the day from a coffee machine and complimentary snacks such as chips and crackers at the reception area. They also provide bottled water upon request. Overall, this is not a luxury or fancy hotel, but for budget travelers it is a very practical and comfortable choice. If you are looking for an affordable place that is clean, well located, and run by friendly staff, Tai Hope Hotel is a solid option.

Was a good place to stay for a few nights in Taipei. 10 minutes from the MRT and free snacks

The hotel located in between Zhongshan junior high school and nanjingfuxing MRT. it's about 15 min walk. the room was big and clean although there is some dust in the room. the toilet also big and clean. there is elevator so the big luggage will not be a problem. I like that they have coffee, drink and snack at reception area. it's really nice. Staff also helpful. help me to call taxi. overall is good for people who want big room and peaceful atmosphere.

Relatively clean room. Comfy stay. Decorations in the hotel give off a 1980s feel. Limited TV channels to watch, can open the windows and let the cool air through. Distance from hotel to train station was a relatively long walk. Many eateries nearby. Overall, a pleasant stay.
