had such a fantastic time at this hotel! It's conveniently located just a short 10-minute stroll from the metro station, and there are tons of cool spots nearby like The North Pagoda, Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden, and the Suzhou Silk Museum, all within a quick 10-15 minute walk. It feels like staying in a cozy guest house nestled within a family complex. The owner, a lovely lady, is super friendly and helpful. While the room has that charming old-school vibe, it's spotlessly clean and has everything you need, even a hairdryer. It totally reminds me of my grandma's place back in the day! Plus, there's a cute little mini library with some fascinating collectibles and a cozy tea house - perfect for some Insta-worthy snaps! Oh, and watch out for the three adorable cats who love to wander around and sometimes even pop into your room for a visit! You won't go hungry here either! Right next door, there's a fabulous café, and across the street, you've got a whole lineup of local food joints. And let me tell you, don't miss out on the crab noodle spot near the traffic light - it's absolutely divine! And if you're craving some fresh fruit, just head over to the fruit stand near the small bridge. They're open late - I swung by around 11 pm and they were still going strong! Just a friendly reminder: This hotel does have its Chinese name displayed at the entrance, no English. So, make sure to remember or write down that street number to find it easily next time! And you can bet your bottom dollar that if I find myself back in Suzhou, I'll be booking a room here again without a second thought!

The location is perfect, walking distance to all major attractions. Also MRT is nearby & accessible to all attractions. Check in is fast , owner provide clear instructions. Nice cozy stay if you want something different from the usual hotel stay.

Good place to try if you like to experience the traditional Suzhou style. Toilet floor is slippery when wet. The heater takes a while to warm up. Room and bed frame are relative small. Location is super idea as very near to places of attractions and good food.

Excellent location, the hotel is 10mins walk from all the main attractions. Lots of eateries and cafés around and the āyí who took care of the house was super nice. Hotel’s jn a small lane and shared courtyard with a few other locals’ homes but it was a very pleasant experience. Only thing is that the bed was a bit small. Overall it was very good

Tastefully decorated with great atmosphere. Their room is, actually, one of my favourites among my 2-week travel in China. The owner lady doesn't speak English but is kind and helpful. Close to subway station, "北寺塔" Beishitao, and "拙政园" humble administrator's garden. There's no sign for the hotel on the street, though I managed to find it from the address.

Very pleasent stay in a lovely traditional setting. Perfect location, friendly owner/family. The courtyard cats add to the positive experience.

The lady was so nice. She gave us all the local spot recommendations and warned us what should and should not do. She also has 3 cats that are super cute and friendly.

Our family of four enjoyed our stay here. It was unseasonably cold though and the place felt cold. It's in a wonderful location to tour ancient Suzhou. We would stay here again.

Extremely pleasant stay, owners were very friendly and warm. Supples of amenities are well stocked and the cats here are very friendly. Very near (5mins walk) to the places of attraction and great food selection (non-tourist kind) just opposite! Will recommend anyone coming to Suzhou to stay here!

Good location with small local eateries on the street. Not far from metro. Comfortable place to relax and take it easy. Very homey. Okay

It was the loquat season, and the well-reviewed landlord picked some for us to eat. The cat was super cute, it climbed on my body, entered the room by itself, and even showed its belly for me to touch. It was really comfortable to listen to the rain in the courtyard. The old house had poor sound insulation, but the advantages made me ignore the small disadvantages. Service: Five stars Facilities: Simple Environment: Elegant

It's a late review. This is a very good B&B. The landlord is very enthusiastic. He contacted me in advance and sent me a travel guide, as well as the B&B location and specific directions. It's a small courtyard with Suzhou characteristics. There are three big fat cats, which are very cute and clingy. It's so happy to pet the cats hahaha. When taking pictures, Mimi comes into the house at night to clock in and ask for a pat. It's so cute!!!
