African Ambience Guest House

All in all, a wonderful stay: a beautiful guesthouse; delightful, helpful, friendly hosts (and kitty cat); and fantastic service! I cannot recommend African Ambience more highly. Since I’m a woman and was traveling alone without a car offseason, I was a little apprehensive about my weekend in St Lucia. Hennie and Ilze made sure I was safe and secured a spot for me on a hippo-croc boat trip and a night safari even though it was very quiet at this time of year and few tours were running. Hennie was also kind enough to provide a taxi service from Hluhluwe and back again. The guesthouse itself is really charming and set in a luxuriant tropical garden. Visits from my hosts’ affectionate pussycat were a highlight, as were the delicious breakfasts on the terrace. I’ll definitely be back.

Our room on the ground floor was great with a huge, high room under a thatched roof with a large, comfortable bed, fridge and coffee maker. Beautiful garden with a little pool. Hennie is more than helpful to advise on and booking for trips. Highly recommended.

The room and garden were beautiful - everything we had hoped for. Breakfast was out of this world, with unmatched attention to detail. The hosts went out of their way to be informative and helpful. Highly recommended!

The hosts were extremely professional and welcoming and the property was attractive and well-maintained. You will not find better value or a better place to stay in St. Lucia and I have been coming here for 40 years.

nice furnished guesthouse, romantic tropical garden, wonderful views to pool, garden or fountains. a bar and a fridge make the stay comfortable apple crumblee and personal breakfast were lovely I only give 4 from 5 points to the location, because you dont have a view Two friendly cats are at the guesthouse, too.

Our 6 days at African Ambience were fantastic. We had such a great time. Everything was perfect. Hennie and Ilze are the best hosts you can imagine! thanks so much!! We would love to come back and highly recommend this place.

This guesthouse is a tip for everybody: We loved the kindness and hospitality of the hosts. They had advices where to go, helped booking and we made together walks on the beach at sunrise and at Daan.
