The hotel has an unbeatable price/performance ratio and extremely friendly staff. Unfortunately we were only there for one night, a longer stay would have been fun. The room was very spacious and the bathroom had a separate area for the toilet and shower. The interior of the entire hotel is based on the colonial style, but is enhanced with individual sculptures and paintings. This is particularly evident in the very tastefully designed hotel lobby. There is an included afternoon tea service on the hotel roof by the swimming pool, where you can relax a bit. It is also very close to the train station. A clear recommendation.

Thursday 22 February 24 was very busy because I was sleeping on the 5th floor, there were lots of people talking because the room was tight and it was like there were workers nailing the wall, so I couldn't sleep

I didn’t know that this amazing place is new. Their amazing design filled with antiques and retro gallery is one of a kind making me think that this place is an old Indo-Dutch building. It felt like I hit the jackpot when I first arrived here. Totally recommend it to everyone who wants to come to Solo.

Location is convenient, service is great, nice pool, and big rooms. I came with a big group and the staff are always trying to accommodate our requests. Walls are quite thin but still a comfortable stay regardless. Would recommend to stay..

The hotel has a good style and a good service, located in the center of the city. A modern take on a classical hotel. The room looked nice with the batik details on the wall. Unfortunately, the TV is still a conventional channel TV. It would be nice to add a smart/internet TV in the room.

It’s love at first sight with Mahalaya. The architecture & interior design is so pretty. I really love the hospitality also, they serve us very good & so friendly. All the foods & drinks are sooo tasty also! I had very good rest there.. A very good recommended hotel to stay in Solo.

Nice hotel with vintage ambience. Love to sit at the lounge while enjoying old song. Unfortunately the food at Paleis Restaurant need to be improved. The hotel near to Solo Balapan railway station. They provide drop off/ pick up service from/to airport/train station. Nearby there is Luwes Department store in which you can get stuff from the supermarket if you need something. Overall worth to stay.

The best modern-traditional hotel in Solo. The service was great. Everybody greeted us warmly. This was our second time staying in Mahalaya. The room is always clean and neat. Their location is perfect. We can reach any tourist attractions and Solo’s best restaurants within minutes. Their breakfast menus were various, unfortunately some of them were cold and bland, hopefully they can improve the food tastes in the future. During the stay, we were going with our babies and we had to keep our babies’ food in freezers, the staffs nicely offered us to keep it in theirs. This time we were going for my husband’s birthday trip. I told the staff if they could make any birthday decorations or else. They said they could not fulfill the request and offered us a slice of birthday cake. Surprisingly, the hotel also upgraded our room to their beautiful Junior Suite Room. Thank you Mahalaya hotel for the birthday present. Thank you for making our trip memorable. We definitely will come back to stay at Mahalaya again ❤️

Where to start, there were so many great things. First of all the staff were great! Friendly and very helpful. The hotel rooms were very comfy, clean, and had great esthetics. Breakfast was great, with a very indonesian cuisine. Overall our family liked it here, it felt homy, would def recommend.

Nice hotel, very new (open in 2022), lots of vintage decoration, room quantity only about 50, breakfast quite nice although congee too thick, other things are great. Staffs are very nice, typical Javanese people. Next to hotel there is wet market to find typical Indonesian ingredients

A new hotel at Solo with classic white interior. The drop off is enough for one car only. The entry access is quite wide while the exit access from the drop-off is rather small. Parking is in the basement, wide and clean. The check-in process is a bit time consuming. After submitting ID cards, we were asked to deposit 300 thousand for 2 rooms. After that, you are invited to sit down, they served welcome drink in the form of iced peach tea and a wet towel. The lobby is actually not too wide, but because of the height it gives a wide luxurious impression can be due to the classic interior touch with various artworks displayed in various corners. The receptionist staff brought the keys to us and said that both of our rooms were upgraded to an executive type and a connecting room. Arriving at the room, there was a letter that some work was still being done and it might be a bit disturbing to guests, fortunately during our stay in our room, there was no disturbing work noise. The executive room is very spacious but unfortunately the width of the foyer is narrow. There is a powder room (a place for make-up) and wardrobe, bathroom, and bedroom. The bedroom is very spacious, comfortable and spacious. The rooms are clean and cool. 2 bottles of mineral water and 2 traditional snacks are provided in each room. In my room there are rengginang and grubi, while in my parents' room there are grubi and kuping gajah. Tea using premium beard heads and coffee using nescafe sachets. TV is medium size, the show is clear. Wifi in the lobby and restaurant is fast, but in the rooms the signal is weak maybe because the room size is too big. The bed is very comfortable to sleep on. A total of 4 pillows and 2 decorative pillows are provided on the bed. My room has a balcony but the glass is off so the balcony can't be opened. The bathroom size is also spacious with a unique layout, not boring like other hotels. Amenities are very complete such as 5 stars and the packaging also looks premium made by Budi Jaya. All sanitary ware is unique in chrome color. Complete towels are also provided, 2 body towels, 2 hand towels, 2 face towels. Hot water works well, unfortunately in our room there were some minor damage, such as the roller blind already leaking then the handshower was a bit stuck so it came out of the shower. The swimming pool is on the 5th floor and is a rooftop pool. Although not wide but there is a kids pool, and seating in the pool so that it looks aesthetic. There is also a fairly large flamingo float. Next to the swimming pool there is also a seating area, pool bar and gym. The gym is a mini gym so the equipment is also minimal. The restaurant is on the roof floor. The interior is cool and there are lots of artistic ornaments too, so it's pleasing to the eye Breakfast starts from 06.00-10.00. In my opinion, the taste of the main course should be improved because some of them are a bit sloppy, but the food other than the main course, in my opinion, is very tasty a
