We arrived a party of ten. The staff experience started at reception where we were made to feel so welcome . Nothing was too much trouble. We were very happy with our rooms. Although, due to traffic we arrived much later than we’d hoped to, after going to our rooms to freshen up, we were taken to our table. Again, nothing was too much trouble and we were able to choose for a good varied menu. If I have one criticism it is the website says games room but it is for the golfers use or so the children were told by the golfers! . Perhaps there could be a games room for children, with maybe table tennis and snooker table? However, there were grounds for them to run off energy. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very attentive. I would definitely stay again.

First the good stuff - great location, nice, friendly staff & clean room. But ………. We were given a ground floor room which was right next to the beer garden and when I say next to I mean only our window was between us and the drinkers on the same level. To get any privacy we had to close our window, pull the curtains & put the light on! Unfortunate for a hot afternoon in August 🥵 Not great unfortunately, I think the drinkers were as embarrassed as us when they realised we were staying in this room. Also our room wasn’t serviced, I have no issue with making my own bed but for the price I shouldn’t have to 😡
Travelodge Shrewsbury Battlefield

Awful nights sleep! People talking really loud outside reception early hours of the morning, weren’t told to be quiet at all by staff. Fire alarm went off firstly at 2:38am! No staff to be seen in evacuation point, other guests also wondering what’s going on. Fire door wedged open with fire extinguisher. Alarm went off for a second time; no reassurance from staff. Could smell paint fumes very strongly. Told this morning when complained to reception that the workers were decorating through the night and the fumes and dust set the alarms off.

Spacious Hotel. Room wasn't to standard, Bins hadn't been changed by housekeeping, as well as hairs within bedding. Dusty floors and carpets which had apparently been deep cleaned the week prior. Bed Extremely uncomfortable as made up of 2 single springed matresses.
Premier Inn Shrewsbury North (Harmer Hill)

Good stay at this premier Inn, Went as a family group of 13 people between ages of 5 and 83 and considering we booked just as a cheap bed for the night before an event the following day we all had a surprisingly enjoyable time. The staff were the stars of the show from reception to restaurant and bar every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful and guest focused. Rooms we a bit tired and had unpleasant damp smell but were clean and did the job. Shower was good temperature. Took advantage of the meal deal and had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant attached. Both were excellent and provided good variety. If in the area would definitely stay here again. The Lion Hotel Shrewsbury

The price is very high, and the hotel I set in front of, the world is different, the room is large, clean, bright, sanitary products look comfortable, the hotel is very characteristic, old-fashioned British architecture, more than 400 nights. Very worth booking.
