Grand Skylight Gardens Hotel
4.6/5588 Reviews
Shanghai South Railway Station Area
The hotel has direct access to the Shanghai Botanical Garden, with a beautiful environment. As a local in Shanghai, I needed to stay away from home for a while due to home decoration, so I chose this hotel. Xiao Ying and Xiao Jing, the receptionists at the front desk, were very helpful, enthusiastic and helpful, and made me feel at home. Like 👍.

SSAW Boutique Hotel Shanghai Yilin
4.8/51442 Reviews
Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center
The hotel staff are enthusiastic, professional and have a very good service attitude. We are also happy to help carry luggage to the room. The cleaners proactively assist and provide needed items. The hot water in the hotel is hot, the heating is sufficient, the room is clean, quiet, quiet, and the light is good. It's just that the corridor outside the room is noisy, and the sounds of conversations and door closing sounds of travelers passing by are quite clear. The hotel's front desk and surrounding areas are beautifully decorated in a Japanese style.

Shanghai Everbright International Hotel

Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center
The room size is OK, clean and fresh, but the facilities need to be improved, it is a bit old. When we made a last-minute reservation, Xiao Yang at the front desk arranged a good room for us. Xiao Huang at the front desk was very busy and was able to handle our situation quickly, which was great.
San Want Hotel Shanghai

Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center
Wangwang is so cute! Although the room is old, it is very clean. The snacks and mini bar in the room are free. There are Wangwang elements everywhere in the room. I didn't have breakfast. The lunch was a business set meal, which tasted good. The hotel is only a three-minute walk from the subway station. The only regret is that there is no decoration for birthday check-in. It is very cost-effective. I will come again next time if I have the chance.

Shanghai, located on China's central coast, is the country's most populous city and one of the most vital financial hubs in the world. Shanghai's skyline, punctuated by the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower and the towering Shanghai Tower, paints a vivid picture of the city's impressive blend of traditional charm and modern flair.

Journeying to Shanghai

Shanghai's main international airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, offers numerous connections globally. Once there, you can reach downtown Shanghai using the Shanghai Maglev Train, buses, or taxis. For domestic travelers, high-speed trains offer an efficient means of travel.

The main mode of payment in China is usually through AliPay or WeChat Pay. Most places still accept credit and debit cards, but it's wise to carry some local currency (RMB) for smaller vendors. Mandarin is the official language, with Shanghainese also widely spoken. A translation app may come in handy when interacting with locals.

Attractions That Shine in Shanghai

Shanghai is brimming with must-see sights. Walk along the Bund to see colonial-era buildings against the backdrop of a modern skyline. Visit the tranquil Yuyuan Garden, an exquisite example of Ming Dynasty design. The Shanghai Museum hosts an extensive collection of Chinese historical artifacts, and the Shanghai Disney Resort promises fun for the entire family.

Shanghai's Seasons and Apparel

Shanghai has a humid subtropical climate. Summers (June-August) are hot and humid, while winters (December-February) can be quite cold. The best times to visit are autumn (September-November) and spring (March-May), when the weather is moderate. Pack a mix of lightweight and warm clothing to adjust to fluctuating temperatures in Shanghai.
