Pudong New International Expo Center
We chosed this hotel because of XIN LIU /Liu Yu Xin XANADU concert Shanghai station (15mins walking distance to the arena). The service, cleanliness, amenities are great and awesome. The staffs are friendly and good especially 小肖 and 乔经理 who helped with our check in. Wanna to give a special shout out to an extremely helpful receptionist guy who helped to pay our cab fare when our Alipay transaction failed, thank you! Location is peaceful and serene. A tranquil stay indeed 👍🏻

It's close to the road, not a main road, so it won't be too noisy. You can still hear a small amount of roar from Metro Line 8 entering the station a few hundred meters away, which can be ignored. The worst thing is that the room is not soundproofed, and the TV in the next room can't hear the sound even after one o'clock in the morning. It was audible, the breakfast was mediocre, not many varieties, the room was small, the mosquito repellent was not replenished when it was gone, and it was actually from 2019.

When I was playing in Shanghai, I stayed in this store for four nights. It feels very comfortable. Although the room is a bit smaller, the price/performance ratio in Shanghai is very high. It is about ten minutes walk from the Tibet South subway, and it is easy to find food around. Special thanks to the two beautiful staff. There was a small problem in the middle, but it was solved quickly for us. Because I went out to play every day, I forgot to take photos. The room was exactly the same as the picture uploaded by the hotel.

The newly opened store has a very good environment and is very clean. The ladies and brothers at the front desk also provide good service. Parking is also very convenient. If I go there next week, I will still book this hotel.

Pudong New International Expo Center
The service, health and environment are all very good. There are restaurants and shopping malls on Changli Road nearby. It takes about 8 minutes by bike from the Expo source. This time I will focus on the shortcomings: Aging facilities: The water pressure of the shower head in the bathroom is not enough, making bathing uncomfortable. The room is not well insulated. I turned the air conditioner on at 30 degrees and used maximum wind for several hours. The temperature near the floor was still 21.6 degrees (I brought a thermometer), and my feet would be very cold at night. Card charging: The room needs to be plugged in to have electricity. That means if no one is around during the day, there is no way to turn on the air conditioner to pre-warm the room. There is no washing machine, not in the room or in the public area. Only one suite had a washing machine installed in the room by a previous guest. Customers who need to do laundry are advised to call the front desk to see if the suite is available before booking a room.

Shanghai: Where East Meets West

Shanghai, located on China's central coast, is the country's most populous city and one of the most vital financial hubs in the world. Shanghai's skyline, punctuated by the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower and the towering Shanghai Tower, paints a vivid picture of the city's impressive blend of traditional charm and modern flair.

Journeying to Shanghai

Shanghai's main international airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, offers numerous connections globally. Once there, you can reach downtown Shanghai using the Shanghai Maglev Train, buses, or taxis. For domestic travelers, high-speed trains offer an efficient means of travel.

The main mode of payment in China is usually through AliPay or WeChat Pay. Most places still accept credit and debit cards, but it's wise to carry some local currency (RMB) for smaller vendors. Mandarin is the official language, with Shanghainese also widely spoken. A translation app may come in handy when interacting with locals.

Attractions That Shine in Shanghai

Shanghai is brimming with must-see sights. Walk along the Bund to see colonial-era buildings against the backdrop of a modern skyline. Visit the tranquil Yuyuan Garden, an exquisite example of Ming Dynasty design. The Shanghai Museum hosts an extensive collection of Chinese historical artifacts, and the Shanghai Disney Resort promises fun for the entire family.

Shanghai's Seasons and Apparel

Shanghai has a humid subtropical climate. Summers (June-August) are hot and humid, while winters (December-February) can be quite cold. The best times to visit are autumn (September-November) and spring (March-May), when the weather is moderate. Pack a mix of lightweight and warm clothing to adjust to fluctuating temperatures in Shanghai.
