Kingtown Hotel Plaza Shanghai

Perfect as always! Will book again for sure soon. The only drawback for me are the breakfasts that could've been more western and could generally have more various food. The wifi internet got way better though!

Location is good. 10 min walk to People’s Square and Nanjing Pedestrian Street. Well connected by Metro Line 1 Red, station Xinzha Road. If you use bike system, the Bund is 10 mins ride only; or you can walk through Nanjing Street and get to the Bund while seeing its many shops and attractions. Starbucks and other coffee shops, as well as restaurants, close to hotel, less than 5 min walk. The hotel in general is OK. Confortable bed and spacious room, good bathroom and shower, good cleaning, provides complimentary mineral water. Staff: nobody speaks even 1% English. Come on guys, I know it is China, you should, at least the basics… they just could not communicate with me. You receive hundreds of intl’ visitors, make an effort (I am not a native English speaker either…). Bad point of the hotel. Breakfast: horrible. No options. Just fried eggs, some tomatoes and a few fruits. Regular filter coffee which was a bit burned and tasted bitter. Only manufactured bread (the one they sell in supermarkets). No fresh bakery. Sweet bakery like croissants of very low quality. And then Chinese food which I love but not for my breakfasts, maybe lunch or dinner. I suggest not to pay for thar breakfast at all.

Not so near in nanjing road. but the staff are nice and they help me whenever i asked them for help. All in all thr service is good.

I had Great stay here. Near the subway, breakfast was good. Room spacious and bright, great city view (from 5 floor)

This hotel location is very nice which is convenient to subway mrt by walking distance and also very near to Nanjing pedestrian shopping street as well.

Good service at the hotel, front desk staff are helpful, strategic location , walking distance to nanjing road and subway stations .

Overall feel comfortable, location near 人民广场 and 南京路步行街, will be better if oven and refrigerator provided

Clean room and decent view. Near to Line 1 metro station and 64 bus.

Excellent experience. Front desk helpful. Nanjing Pedestrian Road is 7-8 minutes walking only from hotel. Next to hotel have big car parking, but it's paid car parking it's charges 10 rmb per hour or 80 rmb 24 hours. Easy check-in/out. Comfortable bed, not noisy.
