Taking advantage of the good weather, the whole family booked the Garden Hotel. It happened to be a day when the hotel was fully booked. Hearing that there was an exhibition, an elderly person in the family, who was over 90 years old, sat on the sofa in the lobby for a long time, waiting to check in. At this time, the manager Jamie came up to ask us. Knowing that there were elderly people, he personally helped us to check in at the back office, reducing our waiting time. After that, he also helped us book afternoon tea and the Chinese restaurant in the evening. I found this hotel while looking for the most accessible hotel before visiting Disneyland in Shanghai for a family trip at the end of the year. Airport and Disneyland shuttle bus service were very good. Breakfast was also great and delicious. Especially, customer service at Weiwei 维维and Fangfang 芳芳is excellent. I would like to visit again next time.

I came to Shanghai for a short trip. Atour also lived a few times before. This time I went to Disney, so I specially chose a hotel that was closer. We booked two rooms, never expected to wait for me to get up at 5:30 in the morning, the door of the hotel room temporarily came out and couldn't be opened. No matter how to swipe the card, there was no response. As soon as the front desk staff came over, the question was whether it was locked inside. Are all the people out and there is still a lock situation? It took 20 minutes to delay, and we also specially bought the park's early enjoyment card, which was really anxious. Finally, the front desk ended the two-day breakfast for the staff in this room, (you need to apply to the above) and the friend of the other room who went to the other room could not compensate by the way. In fact, we left early the next day for this breakfast and didn't eat it. Disney is worth a visit!

All the staffs are friendly (it's very rare to meet staffs who greet you in many other hotels). As soon as we got off from a taxi, two hotel staffs already came out and helped us to bring our luggages. The location of the hotel is not too far from Chuansha station (Metro Line 2), you'd probably need 10-15 minutes because of the traffic (lots of people riding bikes; many bikes parked close to the metro.) There is a mall next to exit 2. Many small shops and resto on the way back to the hotel. A Lian hua supermarket (with normal price) is next to the hotel, making it easy to purchase daily stuffs. The hotel provide wide selection of yummy breakfast. They also provide transport to Disney and to Pudong airport. They are very on time. We chose to leave at 6 am (before the breakfast service time), and they brought us steamed buns and delicious soy milk. Their amenities are great. Body lotion, conditioner, detergent, needle and thread are available there. They even got a robot to send ”waimai” (delivery).

It is an old house in the Republic of China. The environment is very good. The room is nearly 2 floors high. However, the air conditioning and heating system is not very good in winter and it is a bit cold. Service: The lady is pretty good and proactively solves problems. Exclusive Disney Resort shuttle bus transfer: The negative review is actually this. The hotel should be outsourced to an outside fleet like the hotel next to it. Temporary intention, in the bubble hotel around Shanghai, the children wanted to soak, so they found this one. The hotel is relatively new, the room is good and quite big, because there are guests who can soak in the soup, there are not many people, so in the afternoon it became a ”private soup” for the mother and daughter. The water was clean and the water temperature was hot. The young lady at the front desk was very nice, patiently helped the children to put on the kimono, and the children had various concave shapes, which were beautiful. The hotel is right next to the ancient town of Chuansha, where you can go shopping and eat.

If you like to have hotel not far from airport, you can consider this hotel. The closest metro is Chuansa, it is about 10-15 minutes walking distance. We arrived in the afternoon and directly asked for shuttle to Disneyland for tomorrow morning. It was kinda frustrated situation since the frontliner can not speak english and I was very tired but she kept on going to assist me thru app translator in which I really appreciated. Finally I made it to have morning shuttle booking for Disneyland and airport transfer the next day. Across the hotel, you will find some restaurants and coffee shops. Please be informed that they have Disneyland shuttle from hotel but no return shuttle but that was fine, we took metro subway. When we checked out, the frontliner, Ms. Xiao Xue was very nice asking if anything not good about the room, of course nothing, we were so happy and had a good rest. She also nicely handed 2 cute keychains for us. Thank you!

We were upgraded from a family room for 3 into another with bigger beds and a hall by the super friendly reception because they said we 3 adults might find the family room we booked a wee bit squeezy. From the initial arrival tea to the considerate upgrade to information on shuttle service times to the airport to the tourist information on subway travel - the reception team has been exemplary. We also appreciated the breakfast selection - I normally eat fruit and grains/muesli with coffee - they have a good coffee machine which ground coffee for our drink. There is milk snd soy milk. No muesli - so I had a lovely porridge of red bean, big barley and millet - all healthy and comforting to the stomach. They have cornflakes but why select processed food over natural grains !?! Fruit was a big red dragon fruit with yoghurt. There is a choice of fried egg or hard boiled egg. Overall, its easy to adapt their selections for a healthier breakfast. The hotel is close to Subway Line 2 which goes direct to Pudong Airport and The Bund and financial district Lujiazui.

My wife and I passed the night here and left for Hefei City the following day after her long flight from Africa. Close to the Chuansha Metro Station on Line 2 from Pudong Airport (5 stops away). However, there is no where the english version of the hotel name (written on the english version of the check-in voucher) was written on the building of the hotel. As the Taxi driver dropped us off and left, what I saw was ”Home Inn Hotel”. I had thought we were at the wrong place. This threw me off balance for some moments, and my wife was almost crying as I broke the news to her as it was cold and raining. As there are more than one hotel in the building, it is recommended that the English name of the hotel be written outside the building like Home Inn Hotel did for easier accessibility especially for foreigners. Only the chinese characters (hanzi) of the hotel name were written outside. There are many restaurants (local restaurants and foreign like McDonalds) around it where one could eat. The receptionist was warm and friendly. We were given a little gift on checking out. Hotel was generally clean but it could be improved upon. There was hot water and the AC worked well. I would recommend it for anyone looking for an affordable, budget hotel with good service in a location not far from Pudong Airport.
