It's our 1st time staying in Seclusive, and we chose to celebrate my 50th birthday here (we're from Singapore). In our 6 days trip in Shanghai, this is the 3rd hotel we've stayed for 3 nights. We booked 2 rooms - a suite and a king-sized bedroom. Talk about the downside first. The suite (on the 2nd floor) is spacious with a terrace, however the king-sized bedroom (on the ground floor) was extremely small, it will not be suitable if you're a 6 footer at all (you'd probably be knocking your knee to alot of things). Since it is an old structured building, the sewerage system is no good (toilets in both our rooms were choked and needed attention). The staircase to the level 2 was really steep with uneven carpet. They should also plan to hire more (& younger) housekeeping staff as cleaning up the rooms takes longer than expected, we waited on the day of check-in as well as when we were out for lunch (2 hours). Now on the good things! Location is great as it is walking distance to alot of shops, cafes, restaurants. We reckon that this is a 'hot' and 'social influencer' locality with lotsa crowd taking photos and vids. What made the stay MOST PLEASANT and MEMORABLE is the staff named Ace, true to his name - he was truly a superstar with top-notch service and attitude, the type you'd think never exist in this world! From settling the laundry (with an external vendor), booking cars, restaurants reservations, birthday-surprise decor to the room, all coordination with external vendors and many more! Last but not least - with a bright smile at all times! If at all we decide to be back, its only because of Ace!

This is our second stay. We mainly like the hotel, which is surrounded by many old bungalows with stories, surrounded by green trees. The environment is very elegant and quiet, and the latest top-notch luxury room facilities. Our customer service representative, Ms. Joyce Wang, received us. She enthusiastically arranged room selection, promptly presented welcome fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice, Shanghai-style wontons, and handled late check-out. She also explained the old Western-style house, Building 1, with a smile. It is the best building that Chairman Mao ever lived in. We look forward to its early opening and new packages to enjoy. Nowadays, ”check-in” is popular. This hotel should be among the best hotels that must be ”check-in”. It really allows you to take a leisurely stroll in the quiet old European-style bungalow, nourish your mind and body, and cultivate your sentiments. It is a rare place in the city. A great place to take a deep breath, a wonderful little trip to ”pretend to be in Europe” like a real Europe.

I've stayed at the hotel before cause I enjoyed their large clean rooms which is good for working. However, this time the toilet kept flushing throughout the night and there was also a light bulb right over the desk that kept on flashing which was very annoying. I informed hotel staff and their suggestion was to unplug the toilet when I go to sleep which is a pain if you need to get up in the middle of the night to use the toilet. The light bulb issue was never resolved. Too bad, otherwise a good hotel.

Super helpful and friendly staff. Assisting me in ordering food delivery, ordering didi (cab/taxi) and also with my luggages. Special thanks to the very thoughtful house keeping lady, I think her surname is Fang, who is on duty from Dec 4th till 9th on the 11th floor. She put in extra effort and try her best to help my colleague from Philippines even with language barrier. Love the location as well, very near the subway station, beautiful surroundings during Autumn, a lot of locals and non local restaurants. Convenient location.

The room is spacious. The furniture in the room was old. There are some questions to ergonomics of the room. The socets predominantly didn't work. The room service started at 7 am. Old-fashioned decoration but excellent maintenance🉐️! It’s quite hygienic for a mysophobic person! I live nearby and chose to live here because my house was renovated for convenience. I often pass by it and thought it was very old, but I was pleasantly surprised when I moved in. It is much better than the Dragon Dream that I also lived in at home for repairs a few years ago! The only drawback of the room is that the space is relatively small, but the price is quite affordable and it is enough for one person. Good review 👍

I booked a few nights with high expectations. The hotel is a garden villa type bungalow. The external environment is well created and the photo effect is good (see picture). It is recommended for guests who like to take photos. It can be beautiful~ The hotel's internal facilities are a bit unsatisfactory. The room is too small, there is no mirror, the sockets are unreasonable, the bed is also very soft, there is only one pillow, and there is no place to put the big luggage. We barely fit two small suitcases in the bathroom. It's so small that it can't be separated from wet and dry, and it's a little difficult to turn around. Hehe, we are still slim and find it very inconvenient. This is the fault of the hotel. Fortunately, there is an elevator, but parking is inconvenient. Personally I feel that if you have requirements for the quality of your stay, check in with caution. There is really no experience at all, and the price is not cheap! The butler service is still in place, responsive to all requests, and can handle any problems in a timely manner. Milk and fruit biscuits are delivered to the room. The breakfast environment is good, with noodles and sandwiches to choose from, which can make you full. The environment is beautiful, but the facilities are flawless!

This time I took my daughter to Shanghai ENT Hospital for a minor surgery for adenoids hypertrophy. We chose the nearest Orange Hotel on Huaihai Road. The front is not big, but it is quite exquisite. The entrance of the bar reveals a faint ancient a**osphere. Entering the hotel feels quite modern, especially the Xiaodu robot, which is very smart. Except for the slightly lacking service, everything else is good. The breakfast is simple and filling. It is good for a 48 yuan breakfast in Shanghai.

I chose this place because of its convenient location. Next to it is the Wukang Building. There are various online celebrity shops in the surrounding area that are very stylish and suitable for taking photos. The landlord is very nice and the house is huge. I love this yard. They use electric heating to hang towels. There is also floor heating. The furniture is all imported. The little brother was careful in decorating. The best B&B I have ever stayed in, bar none.

I have stayed in this hotel before when it was the Hilton. It was good then, and it is good even now. It used the home tennis stars during the Tennis Masters tournament in Shanghai. The location is the best part of this hotel. and easy access to Metro stations, the neighboring roads Julu Lu Changle Lu and Fumin Lu are buzzing with activity on weekend nights with their endless bars and restaurants! a great place to chill out, and I did just that. I got upgraded to a fantastic room with a view of Jingan Temple!

Location: 10/10 Amazing location. It's around 15 minutes walk from WuKang building which is the start of the famous Shanghai Citywalk. The hotel is 9 minutes walk from the closest metro (HengShanLu). Hotel: Perfect 👌🏼 We were given floor level 21 and had SPECTACULAR views. Absolutely superb. 💯 Food: Buffet breakfast. Afternoon OR evening tea included. Plus 1 bowl of noodle at night. What more can you ask for?! 10/10. Overall, I will recommend friends and family to stay. If you are deciding, stop & book right now!

This was a great find. We stayed here with two adults and an 8 and 6 year old. Mostly we were impressed with the service and how quick the owner was to respond to our needs. We enjoyed the area and the 10 min walk to the subway passed a few good eateries though it was a little outside downtown. Warning! Don't try to take a cab during rush hour. Take the subway or walk it! Would definitely stay here again.

Located in the bustling business district of Xuhui, Capella is much better than the ones in Hainan! It's quiet in the middle of the hustle and bustle, making it very convenient to go out for a walk or ride a bike. Although the design of the small five-story building is climbed up and down, the functional areas are indeed divided very well. The sanitation and cleaning are good. Both bathrooms and toilets are smart and have heating functions. They are very friendly to friends who come to Shanghai in the winter. The audio-visual room does not disturb teammates who want to sleep. The light shading in the room is excellent and the sound insulation is very good. , it was quite quiet all night (but I don’t know if it was because there were few or no neighboring guests), which was appreciated by teammates who suffer from insomnia. The service is also very good. From the time of check-in, every employee takes the initiative to say hello, greets you with a smile, and responds quickly to requests. As for breakfast, I think it can be improved. Breakfast is a la carte service and can be ordered and delivered to the room. I went to the restaurant to eat, but my expectations may have been too high. I felt that the product that day was not at an excellent level, and the staff did not feel very busy. Why do I always have to ask for more tea? Haha... The last unhappy thing is that because I like their body wash, I bought it for home use, but I forgot to check it in when I boarded the plane, and the security personnel took it away in vain😭😭😭I will bring my children back next time, continue.
