The facilities are a bit old, but the service is excellent. A big thank you to Yamo at the switchboard for the patient and detailed answers, and also to Cici at the executive lounge; my child really enjoyed her.

Overall a nice stay with a few hiccups along the way. •Beautiful room but the AC wasn’t blowing cool air as needed, but I was provided an option to move or a large fan for my room~ thank you. As a complimentary thank you a beautiful bottle of champagne was sent to my room. I appreciate that gesture. •Breakfast was delicious. •When calling a car, plan to wait as the que can take awhile due to the central location. ( watch your time)  Thanks for a nice stay overall.

True to its reputation as a platinum five-star Ritz-Carlton hotel, the service here is exceptional. There were many international guests, and I even brushed shoulders with the US Ambassador to China, Nicholas Burns, right at the hotel entrance! 😎

Excellent services by staff, especially Mr Stanislay Kazantesy and his team at the club lounge area. The exterior of the hotel building needs a desperate modernisation but the hotel services made up for it. Room is dated looking.

The location is superb, right in the CBD, which is fantastic. The only downside is the room is a bit small.

The service was excellent, and the location is incredibly convenient for shopping and getting around. Breakfast offered a great variety. The soundproofing in the rooms was quite good, and every staff member proactively asked if they could assist.

Excellent service . Ritz Carlton Portman Shanghai. I been staying here for the past 20 years traveling to Shanghai from San Francisco. Jing an district on nanjing west road in the middle of everything. .. biggest Starbucks in the world just a few blocks away the new Louis Vuitton boat ship store right across the street from Starbucks.. pretty good walk to the bund and nanjing road .. .. Sunny ,,the bartender mixes excellent drinks .

Had a wonderful trip! We were celebrating a 70th birthday, and the hotel arranged room decorations, welcome fruits, a cake, and a birthday card. The attention to detail was exceptional. I've been coming here since it opened in 1998, and I've always trusted The Ritz's service – it truly feels like a home away from home every time.

The environment is good, and the hygiene is clean. The front desk guy, Jack, is really enthusiastic and provides excellent service. I'll definitely be staying at this hotel again in the future.

The location is very convenient, not to mention its service and the cleanliness is out of 10. We really enjoy stayed at The Portman Ritz-Carlton. The breakfast Buffet is great as well ! Overall, we had great time stay at the hotel.

Great location and service. The facilities, though a bit old, are well-maintained. If you're not solely coming for the hotel itself, this is a really good choice. It was super convenient for me to get to the children's hospital in the morning, just a ten-minute walk. The hotel seems to have high occupancy, and breakfast on the second floor was much quieter.
