Gr8 Hotel Sevenum

Loved it! Cheap, clean, modern ! Would be nice if upfront was told, drinks & food is via laplace

My friend and I took our children to Toverland and stayed at the Gr8 for one night. We had a family suite which was massive big tv and to the kids pleasure you tube. The bad pints shower in the room for a group of non family and only one loo the only downsides. The best part was Joy the guy that checked us in and as well as being super friendly could not do enough to help us. I used to stay in hotels for work 50 nights a year and I have never had such and excellent member of staff.

I booked this hotel for its proximity to Toverland, which was the primary goal of my trip. Because I didn't want to deal with parking at Toverland, I left my car at the hotel (free parking) and walked to the park. The walk takes about 30 minutes and there are two paths, one is along the road next to the cars and one is through the trees. There are check in screens in the lobby but it is also staffed by a person who will help you check in and hand you your key. The key is a receipt with a code on it that you hold up to the door to be scanned. A separate piece of paper is printed and contains your room number. I liked how spacious and clean the room was. I also liked the touch screen that controlled the room lighting and temperature. Of the four lighting settings, I chose "romantic" for providing the most pleasant and neutral atmosphere. It was fun to try them all. I couldn't figure out how to use the sink without water getting everywhere and all over the floor. The hotel is right next to a combined KFC and La Place restaurant so if you want to quickly grab food, you can walk over without driving. On a Saturday night, it was quite crowded because the location is off the highway and travelers were also stopping in for dinner. Overall, the hotel was a pleasant place to spend the night between visits to Toverland. I had a nice experience and I appreciate that it also wasn't too expensive.

Very clean and comfortable. Amazing shower. Very friendly and helpful staff. All main aspects of the stay were excellent. However there were some minor tech *******. USB plugs not working so no charging the mobile phone. Poor TV reception. An extremely bright light emanating from the wall mounted tech terminal. So bright in fact it made it hard to sleep. Keycard for door not working right.

Me & my work collegue arrived here at 23.20 & were immediately greeted by a member of staff who showed us through the computerised check in system. Arriving at the room we were pleasently surprised by the excellent standard of decor & furnishings. The beds were very comfortable thus assuring us both of a good nights sleep. The Breakfast at the LaPlace restaurant next to the hotel was full of the usual continental offerings for £9 its a keep topping up as you wish affair but the food was of a good quality & the coffee was very good too. We both wouldn't hesitate to reccomendthis hotel

For a business or family traveller looking to break their journey this hotel was a great find. Very modern and fell like it opened yesterday the facilities and rooms are perfect. The beds give a great nights sleep and shower was hot and strong. Will return
