After a very hot day of driving a 26 foot rental truck I found myself in Seligman, Az. There are very few motel choices in this desert town and I took a chance on the mom & pop run Supai. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was old, spartan, but clean and well kept. The bed sheets were crisp, floors clean and bathroom spotless. TV worked great. I was only in the room for a few hours but is was just fine for me. Don't expect the Hilton but you can rest comfortably and not feel like you are in some dilapidated, poorly maintained establishment. The owners obviously take pride in keeping their place ship shape. Be aware, after dark it appeared there is almost nothing in Seligman open, so if you want food you'll have to drive......somewhere for that.

The rooms that I stayed in were nice. The air conditioning unit in room 1160 was very loud. The restaurants were great. My only complaint is that one of my suitcases was damaged by one of the employees when it was being transported from the Maswik Lodge at the Grand Canyon back to the Grand Canyon Hotel on Monday, September 4th, 2023. I informed the receptionist at the hotel concerning the damage. She told me to write an incident report. She also told me to take some pictures of the damage that was done to the suitcase during the transport and send them to her email address. I turned in the completed incident report and I also sent the pictures to her email address. She told me that she would give the incident report to a woman named Susan Carver. She also stated that she would send the pictures to Susan Carver's email address and that Susan Carver would contact me before the week was over to discuss the damage that was done to my suitcase. It is now September 24th and Susan Carver never called me. No one from the Grand Canyon Hotel has contacted me. A warning to anyone who does stay at the Grand Canyon Hotel when you plan a trip to the Grand Canyon. You might also have the same thing happen to your luggage that happened to mine.

The hotel is located in a small town on Route 66 within an hour from the Grand Canyon. It has a swimming pool and a spa pool. It is very suitable to take a dip after a long day of boating. The breakfast is a traditional American breakfast. You can make your own waffles as part of your trip to the Grand Canyon. The transit hotel is very suitable. There are many scenic spots in the town that are worth visiting on Route 66.

I recently stayed at the days inn located in Williams Arizona. I called and booked over the phone with an employee named Ivon, and requested the king deluxe suit with the jacuzziin the room. She informed me of the price and after applying the Veteran discount the total came out to $163.22. I stay overnight and the next morning I go downstairs and request additional night. now the person Ivon says that my card is not gonna be charged until I check out. I say to let me know if she was going to run the card at that moment because I have my card locked so she says everything‘s taken care of. we go back to the room. We get up in the night to go get some dinner come back we’re locked out And at this point i go up to the front desk and they say that my card was declined I also received a missed call at 9:58 in the morning I return the phone call 1130 the person Ivon. also acted as though she did not call me no clue so nobody informed me until I was locked out. it was embarrassing to be in front of other customers and treated as though I was trash and made to feel disgusting and I don’t appreciate it as a veteran I served this country honorably, and my girlfriend made to feel like she was below standard. I went down informed management the owner and the other manager as well. And they treated me like I was incompetent, and aggressive, by informing them of the problem. And the total lack of respect from the staff is beyond my comprehension. I would be very cautious about staying here they seem to be able to charge you whatever they feel they want and lie about it and I will include the price difference in the pictures to show the public. I had a great experience at the hotel. The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The parking lot was free, and the breakfast included in the package was decent. There are good restaurants within a 5-10 minute driving distance from the hotel.

The location is very good, just on the Route 66 attractions, you can take photos and shopping. The host is also very nice, chatting with us, very warm, and telling us where the dinner is delicious. It is a nice place to rest on the way to the car.

The 5 star review is based on the accomodations specifically. The front desk was professional and courteous, and the room itself was very comfortable and very clean. The establishment as a whole was very clean, well maintained, and the decor was appropriate for the area and enjoyable to look at. Even the carpet fit the rural landscape, it was busy, but not revolting as some hotel carpet designs can be. It all gave a relaxed vibe. Some considerations: *The lodge is next to a railroad track and the front desk does provide free ear plugs. The concierge did advise us of the train and apologized that there is really no set schedule for the train, but she did put us on the street side of the lodge and the train did not bother us at all, even without ear plugs. *The lodge is so clean that it smells strongly of a cleaning agent (Fabuloso). I think this is because there is a lot of tile and they probably wash it at least daily. The room/bathroom also smells strongly of a cleaning agent but that was easily resolved by opening the window (we were on the 2nd story). *I am sensitive to strong smells and very much dislike the smell of Fabuloso. *There is pretty much nothing to do locally. My husband and I got to the lodge with a couple hours of sunlight still to be had hoping to take a hike or do some exploring outside but because the lodge is on the reservation you cannot go out onto the reservation. We made the best of it and got some junk food from the local market across the street from the lodge (which had great reviews for food but there was no food available when we were there), spent the night in watching America's Funniest Videos and laughing our butts off. In the end it was a fun evening spent together just doing nothing. We did not eat at the lodges restraunt so I can't comment on that, but they closed at 8pm and the menu looked like it had some good options. They do have a quaint gift shop that is clean and has a good selection of tasteful souvenirs and cute t-shirts. We would definitely go back for a night stay. It far exceeds our expectations for a road trip stop and we really enjoyed ourselves. We wished we could have had some exploring opportunities but understand that is beyond the guide lines of the lodge. Great Route 66 stop!
