Melia Tortuga Beach - All Inclusive

Nothing good for 5 stars. Dont understand tui. No good for image of this good company. They have next door their own hôtel tui bleue a Real five stars. Mean i was deceived so i will think about it before using tui recommandations and also m'y Travel agency. Propose m'y help if needed with all thé évidences. I mean pictures. I did wrong choice so its m'y fault. Nothing to do about it. Its thé past i think about future. Good Luck take Care.

Compelled to leave an honest review as I was so nervous to book this reading them myself, we booked last minute and this was the option. We went with low expectations and were very pleasantly surprised. Listen, if you're looking for outstanding 5* luxury and exceptional food, this isn't the one, but we had a really lovely week, the staff were always friendly and went out of their way to help, and any minor issues were sorted immediately. We ate at various times in the buffet and the food was always hot, plentiful, and always crockery around. A little repetitive sure, but plenty of choice. We booked all 3 restaurants when booking opened the morning after we arrived, no problem, and I went back the next day to book once more for our last night. Just be organised! Those saying no value... tell me where you get a whole villa or 2 bed apartment as standard. Have paid a lot more to all be in one small room... Always plenty of sunbeds and it was a lovely environment to be around the pools and site. Small and relaxed which we prefer to the the mega resorts. The beach was truly stunning! I'm not sure the phone or TV worked and I couldn't care less, I'm on holiday! WiFi was fine for us. Do the Island day tour, it's amazing! We paddled with lemon sharks, floated in a volcanic craters salt pan waters, visited villages and exceptional landmarks and beaches. Some constructive criticism for the hotel - time to replace/upgrade the mattresses (this negativity was true, slept on springs for a week) and more vegetarian options in the restaurants please. Also please consider what music is appropriate for families poolside, uncensored ******** rap isn't the one. (This only happened once) All in all, we would go back again and we were happy. Remember it's a 5* rated hotel in Africa. More like a 4/good 3 in my opinion. Go with an open mind and just relax and enjoy! No stress

We stayed for 10 nights mid April. After reading some of the reviews we were a bit wary, it was a special holiday and I wanted it to be right. It’s one of the nicest resorts I’ve been to. It had a very laid back vibe, very spacious with 2 big pools and 2 smaller ones for the kiddies. I don’t know how full it was but it never felt busy and although sometimes they could’ve done with more staff on the bars the service was great Food was ok, some delicious meals, some not so but you can’t please all of the people all of the time. The rooms were very spacious as were the balconies. I would go back there in a heartbeat

Overall nice hotel with good food and meat variety. It is already dated and used a lot but beds were comfy. Big nono is missing Wifi connection in rooms and around pool. Staff was friendly and polite. Big thanks to Mr. RICARDO at pool bar, great service, nice chitchat and good drinks. Also thanks to Mr. Ludgero at dinner time.

Antonio great guy! Good food, good beach on resort an resort is clean. Good workes. Good weather aswell. Had a grwat time here.

Eventhough the weather is not as we expected it to be (cloudy and windy), the hotel is very nice to spend your holidays. With a few different swimming pools where you will always find multiple free sun beds, no matter what time of the day. For lunch and dinner you can also go to the O’Grill restaurant with a perfect few on the very nice beach. But what makes this hotel perfect to go is the perfect smile and first class service that gives to you Antonio, the true character of this hotel.

Our stay at Melia Tortuga Beach Hotel in Cape Verde was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm hospitality and stunning surroundings. The resort's all-inclusive concept made our vacation effortless and enjoyable, especially for our family. We appreciated the balance of lively activities and peaceful spots where we could relax. Antonio was exceptional; his assistance was invaluable. He not only ensured smooth bookings and accommodations but also went above and beyond to recommend an unforgettable island tour that enriched our experience. His dedication truly exemplifies the resort's commitment to outstanding service. We left with wonderful memories and cannot wait to return to this paradise!

Very Good hotell. Antonio in The reception makes The best trip all over cabo verde. He always ask IF he can do anything more and are very Quick to make solutions if we have some problems. Very good service. It was very good food and The personal at The pool was funny and always makes jokes and good drinks.

It was nice. Weather was good. Infrastructure like pools/gardens etc were very good. No major issue with sun beds tbh. We stayed in a villa. It was big, showers were cool not hot. Food was ok. The buffet dinner was average. A lot of similar things every night. We had to book the a la carts restaurants. You can only book 3 reservations each day. Clearly too many people for everyone to eat in a la carte every day. We struggled getting the times we wanted. Breakfast buffet was nice. 2 of our party were ill during the trip. Perhaps coincidence but speaking to other guests we weren’t alone with a short bout of illness. The pasta place was ok for kids. Not huge amount of kid choice for the grille one on the beachfront. Adult meals were generally good. A few misses but mostly hits. Rib eye steak at grille was good. We used the water park in Sal Dunas one day. Kids enjoyed this. We had a wander in Santa Maria one morning too, with kids aged 3,5,7 they really only wanted the pool. There were daily activities at poolside, decent music, aqua gym, carpet running, water polo, darts. Antonio works for the hotel and can be found in hotel reception area most mornings. He helps with the restaurant bookings and trips etc. Tv in the villa was rubbish for English guests. Only sky news. Internet was slow and weak. Overall a good week away. Location, weather, pools , beach were fab. Evening Food was a bit of a let down for 4/5* resort in my opinion.
