Iberostar Cala Millor - Adults Only
4.5/569 Reviews
I find it very difficult to review a Hotel that purports to be for people going there to enjoy a holiday. Tranquility for adults to enjoy and rest next to the sea- Relax and disconnect are both prominently shown on its website! Regrettably this did not happen during our eleven day stay. For my part this is nothing other than a ‘Business Hotel’ For example many guests attended for a few days to attend organised business meetings. Others were there taking part in golf tournaments. In addition it was noticed a number of large groups were staying at the hotel for perhaps one or two days. More infuriating was the fact many people found it in order to have many long and loud business meetings on their phones as they lounged on sun beds alongside the pool which made it totally impossible to relax and disconnect in any way. This establishment is not one of Iberostars leading hotel. It is in fact in the lowest grade of the company’s structure.Interestingly IHG and Iberostar recently set up a strategic alliance BUT this hotel is not part of that alliance! The hotel had no soul with nothing whatsoever being memorable. Daily organised events should have taken place but absolutely nothing happened whatsoever!! Another very big disappointment related to the dress code. The website clearly states gentlemen must wear trousers for evening meals but this was completely ignored. Some individuals took no notice with a number wearing torn jeans that would have been a credit for anyone working on a building site. The ladies? Oh dear oh dear! Many wore skimpy shorts and tops that left a lot for anyone’s imagination. None of the guests were asked by staff to comply with the company’s dress code. What a shame for the minority who had gone to the trouble to dress appropriately. The hotel is not situated in an ideal place for sun worshippers. The very small pool with numerous sun beds crammed around it is dwarfed on one side by the nine storey Marina Playa Hotel and the other side by the equally tall Iberostar. Moving sun beds became a regular feature during the day to keep out of the shade. Nearby beach? Well it’s not too far away but accessible by a walk over an uneven surface which makes it very unfriendly for those experiencing walking difficulties. The pool Bar—— what another very big disappointment. It may supply certain drinks but any food consists of nothing other than crisps, biscuits and cakes. No hot food whatsoever! Unfortunately there was no atmosphere at this hotel. It had very little if anything going for it. Would I recommend it to anyone? Absolutely NO
Hipotels Mediterraneo Hotel - Adults Only

Nice clean service-oriented hotel, delicious food - for everyone is always something. Nice staff, super great animation. You simply feel comfortable and arrived on holiday. Despite the size of the hotel everything works super. By the proximity to the beach there were always free beds in the pool area We come back in any case and are happy now
Cas Cabo NOU Agroturismo Adults Only

We stayed for two nights in December and it was great from check-in to check-out. If you are just before the place where the finca has been signposted, it is easy to find it and it is good to take the train. ...The size of the room is very large, there is a bathtub in the middle of the room, our suite has a beautiful balcony with a very beautiful balcony. The view of the valley is very good, in addition to the refrigerator and the refrigerator with high-priced drinks, there are also coffee machines and capsules. The attention and friendliness of the staff is extraordinary... the breakfast is amazing, everything you desire. Thank you for letting us be there.
Hipotels Dunas Aparthotel

Hotel is quite nice, very clean, room cleaning is great no problems. The food is ok, there is a good selection and it is well prepared and cooked just the ingredients felt a little lower in standards to the rest of the hotel. Room cleaning service was excellent. Staff are friendly. The only negative I have and I did go early April so still not really fully operational, getting a drink at the bar was difficult, never any bar staff or even staff around to ask but this was not to bad as I just went to the reception asked and within a couple of minutes there was always someone to serve me.
Son Penya Adults Only Petit Hotel & Spa
4.6/534 Reviews
My wife and I had an opportunity to take a holiday alone and chose Son Penya based on the location, architecture of the property and privacy afforded by the ‘private villas’ which make up about 50% of the 20 rooms at this beautifully presented property. Highs of our stay: -Size, quality of furnishings, privacy and views from our ‘private villa’ (room no. 17) -The immaculate public areas including the gardens -Friendly and professional staff both in the restaurant, reception and around the hotel in general. In particular, a big ‘thank you’ to Roberto, Sonia and Barbara for their attentiveness during our stay and willingness to listen to and help me as I learn to speak Spanish. -Quality and value of food at breakfast and dinner with a good choice on the menu as well as some ‘specials’ each evening. -The spa and pool. A wide range of trea**ents available and reasonably priced Could be better- -The consistency of the dishes at dinner. I had the same dish twice during our stay and the presentation/flavour was far better the first time I ate it. Overall, a highly relaxing and enjoyable stay in a beautifully rural and unspoilt part of Mallorca. I’d recommend having a car should you wish to explore beyond the immediate area and taking one of the larger ‘private villas’, with their own pools if you are seeking complete privacy. Highly recommended and we will definitely return.
Hotel Rosella Affiliated by Intelier

We stayed for for two weeks half board during September family of three . We opted for this hotel because it wasn’t geared towards younger children , and due to the positive reviews regarding the pool area , spacious rooms and food. Thankfully most tourists were couples of families with older children. The location is quite it takes 30 minutes to walk into Sa Coma at a slow steady pace, the nearest bar is within 15 minutes of the hotel (Delaynies Bar, )we don’t recommend this bar it’s dated run down, and basically a tourist trap purportedly offering the cheapest drinks in town , a Baileys cost 8 Euro and is smaller than a standard measure , the glasses are dirty the entire place needs refurbishing. We arrived at the hotel just before midnight check in was smooth , we were informed due to missing our meals a cold buffet had been placed in the fridge, when we entered the room we were disappointed to realise there wasn’t anything in the fridge, we were left three small bottles of water , no milk, tea bags or cups resulting in us having to go back to reception to ask for cups, milk teabags to enable us to make a drink. The rooms are spacious but dated, the sofa beds are not suitable for adults or older teenagers, hotel staff refused to accommodate our request for three single beds despite being informed I was due hip replacement surgery and as our son is in his late he is too old to sleep on a cot bed, the hotel wasn’t fully booked so no reason why hotel staff couldn’t accommodate our request. The air-Con in the room is antiquated and temperamental switching on/ off randomly, no mosquito nets on the doors, no full pool view unless you stand up ( we paid for a superior apartment) The pool area is fantastic lots of sun beds plenty for everyone, calm peaceful atmosphere and a great snack bar offering reasonably priced drinks and snacks- A large Coke costs 2.25 Euro, a large beer 3.5 Euro , cocktails are superb freshly made in a shaker , most cocktails cost 5Euro a pina colada costs 6 Euro . The drinks are cheaper than those found in the main resort and far superior in terms of volume and quality, buy a cocktail you won’t be disappointed. The animation team are lovely they kept our teenager entertained with aqua gym, darts, skittles, a special thanks to Gorka and Maria and the other girls. Brian and Miguel at the pool bar were also friendly and helpful making tasty snacks and drinkswith a smile, the guy with the grey hair at the main bar made fantastic cocktails and was always happy and helpful all staff are a credit to the hotel. Breakfast is great the hotel restaurant offers a wide choice of food which is good quality and cooked to a good standard, unfortunately I can’t say the same about food in the evening which is geared towards German guests , food labelling is also problematic again German tourists are prioritised all food was labelled in German making it difficult for us to determine what was on offer , we had a couple of shocks
