Firstly and most importantly, a massive shout out to the staff and animation team that work at this hotel! They were all fantastic! Everyone we came across was friendly and helpful, they all work so hard and should be very proud. The animation team were fantastic ! We had a three year old and we attended the kids disco every night. My little girl especially loved the pirate man ( didn’t catch his name sorry) they put 100% into every show that had all of the kids and parents dancing along. By the end of the week she was dancing with friends to all the new songs and dances she had learnt and of course we were up there too by the end of the week. Such a brilliant vibe! We are all missing that. We enjoyed the food, so much choice and we found something we liked every night. There are buffet style restaurants and then the more traditional sit down menu type and we tried both, we had no complaints with the food we had. The hotel is huge! Lots of different pools which is lovely because everyone is a bit more spread out and not all crowded around one pool, we could always find sun lounges free around one of the pools. Deeper pools for adults, shallow ones for little ones and then a kids splash park with slides and water jets, trampolines and rides. There was so much to do and I can honestly say we never ever got bored ! The activities are there if you want them, there was mini golf, football, rock climbing … and so much more. Rooms were comfortable and clean, maids came in regularly and kept it clean, obviously we are all adults and have some responsibility of keeping your own room clean and tidy in my eyes! My one and only complaints which I would ask the management to look at would be the beds ! The mattresses are so hard! We weren’t just uncomfortable, I had bad back and shoulder pain all week! It was the only thing that took the shine off our holiday, and we were not the only ones, I heard a few other guests saying the same. A more comfortable mattress would have made all the difference! There was a bit of noise on some nights from neighbouring venues, personally it did not bother us, we did close the windows a little bit but it wasn’t so loud that we couldn’t sleep. All in all we had a lovely experience at the protur safari hotel , we would go again if we knew they’d changed the mattresses ! We were a little bit gutted that the water park wasn’t open, this was a little bit confusing on the tui website as it looks as if all the slides are included in the hotel ! … just be aware that one area is the water park and is only open may -September, it also charges 14 euros a day to get in, again a few people didn’t realise this and were not very happy.
