3 Star Hotels in Salmon Arm

We had a good experience at the Hilltop Inn a few days ago and were pleased that the Inn does not allow pets. We have experienced pet friendly rooms previously at other Hotels/Motels and do not like them. We enjoyed clean carpeting and lounge chair upholstery, white bed linens, white towels, clean bathroom. Breakfast in the dining room was great with pancakes, eggs, sausages, fresh cut fruit along with the usual cereal and toast options, coffee and tea. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We stop several times each year over the past 20 plus years in our travels across the mountains and have not been disappointed.

Breakfast was very good. I saw tour groups when I checked in at night. I was worried that it would be noisy to eat in the morning. Next to the supermarket, dinner can be solved nearby

A gem! A delightful place to stop on the long journey between Vancouver Island and Alberta. The peace and beauty of being right on the lake and the nature sanctuary for a restoring stroll. Restaurant and Bar on site, both excellent. Room with a balcony is a wonderful treat and well worth the expense. Staff are very friendly and standards are high. We love it!

We booked rooms on points with the Marriott Bonvoy program. The points were taken out at booking. Manager couldn't work with Bonvoy, so he charged us a very high rate for one room, $280, before trying to work it out with Marriott and us. We explained over multiple calls, would not change the fraudulent charges to the card. Very bad service, never again.

Salmon Arm is located on the Trans-Canada Highway midway between Calgary and Vancouver on the shores of Shuswap Lake System. It is both a summer and winter recreation area. Pet-Friendly Fees may apply. Summer recreation activities include water sports house boating river rafting and championship golf courses. Winter recreation activities include snowmobiling ice fishing and cross-country skiing.Sunwave Centre is located within 5 minutes of the hotel.

What can I say about the Motel Happy Salmon, for a start is is not near Salmon Arm, but a drive away. It is situated at a place called Canoe, which has no facilities at all. It is also a 2 km drive from the lake, which is across the main road in Canoe and has a small General Store and a sometimes (I imagine) open bar /restaurant but not when we passed by. The room obviously once had a functioning kitchen, but no more, and this was made very obvious by the threatening signs and cable clips securing the cupboards. I have never encountered a hotel/motel room with so many warning signs of fines if you disobey. It made us frightened boil a kettle (we had our own teabags). The small shower was OK once we worked out the functioning. The bed was clean and comfortable but the room looked as if it had been furnished from a Thrift Store.

Stayed here halfway to and from Banff. It was clean and there were not many breakfast varieties. You can make your own waffles. The hotel is relatively close to the railway tracks, and you can hear the sound of the train passing by, but it did not affect sleep.

I arrived at the hotel at 3 am and called the hotel door. The front desk is like an Indian and Pakistani. The facilities are old, but they are relatively clean. Breakfast is rarely taken by itself.
