Ideally situated on the promenade within 20 minutes walk of Hastings town centre. Car parking is available free of charge in various streets close to the hotel up until 10am, although can be limited until the day-trippers go home. The hotel was very clean and our room was pleasant. We would happily stay there again.

Very friendly, welcoming staff and an easy check-in. Nice building with clean and modern facilities, in a good location. I stayed in a single room with a sea view and a private separate bathroom, which was fine. Good hot breakfast and overall great value.

The breakfast offers were quite limited, and when I asked to swap one of the items on a already small breakfast, this was not possible, so I could not swap mushrooms for another hash brown or something like that which I thought was quite liberating as satisfaction in a rundown area is probably going to be there Best asset however something quite small like swapping an item seem to be quite a problem. Other than that the property was generally good, but I did find the rooms especially the bathroom a little bit dirty, not as clean as I would expect but the bedroom itself was good.

We stayed at The Bank Hotel & Bistro to join a friends 60th party and she recommended we stay here but there were more negatives than positives. We had driven nearly 5 hours down to the South Coast, checked in by a very friendly lady to be told that breakfast the following day could not be past 9am. I pointed out that the website says 10:30am, menus around the whole building say 12 noon so why do I need to be so early! We were told the manager said no later than 9am. Not a good start and why 9am when all documentation contradicts that. The room was very nice, lovely sea view but when we came back at 11:30pm, the heating was turned off! I was freezing, it took me 2 hrs to warm up and I had to wear a jumper!! Pillows need replacing, they are bumpy and uncomfortable. Bed was comfortable but we needed blankets. We did get up early to have breakfast as I had another long drive to do but this was disappointing. Plates cold, beans were FIZZY & OFF! Mushrooms, bacon, sausages cooked early and clearly just kept warm so they were had, smallest piece of toast I have ever seen. Hugely disappointing considering it was £130 a night!

Very helpful & friendly staff. Good full English breakfast. Warm room (use of a fan if required) with all tea & coffee making facilities, working TV, comfortable bed & clean linen. Had a single room with no en-suite facility, however, had use of bathroom, only a few seconds walk from room which was not available to any other guests & was given my own key, bathrobe provided, good pressure, hot shower. Also a lovely sea view.

What an experience! The staff -specially Sarah- was very helpful and breakfast was great. My husband and our 4 years old enjoyed the sound of the sea at night and the peace of the hotel and the room.

Had an overnight stay here due to seeing a show at the local theatre. Room was quirky, clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was excellent. Would I stay here again? Most definitely! Easy walk to the local theatre and plenty of restaurants to choose from if you’re wanting an evening meal

It was difficult to find parking nearby. The lady behind the bar was too busy chatting to another member of staff to notice us standing waiting. Once we signed the relevant forms, we were asked what time we wanted to book a table for breakfast the next morning. She then showed us how to use the keys to the hotel once the bar was closed. After climbing 3 steep staircases that got rarrower, the higher we went & through several hallways & landings to different areas of the old building , we were absolutely knackered carrying our suitcases. So much so that we weren't prepared to climb up the 4th set of stairs to the top floor. After a phone call to the owner, the unhappy lady took us to a bedroom on the 3rd floor at the back of the hotel. Our room was lovely but lots of useless LARGE pieces of furniture. A big bookcase, but no wardrobe. A bureau, but no dressing table. Nowhere to hand our evening clothes except a hatstand which was useless. Nowhere to put our cases. There was one mirror on the wall, half hidden by a large plastic plant & the wall mounted TV. The bathroom was dated, mouldy, scruffy and impractical. When you open the door, you needed to step over the loo to get into the room. The shower, which was over the bath, had no pressure and no hot water. We had to keep the blinds closed at the windows because the neighbouring buildings could see into our room. We didn't sleep well because the bed was so uncomfortable. We both kept rolling into the middle due to the cheap mattress. Breakfast was very disappointed. No atmosphere, cold and dull room. The breakfast menu that was on our table when sat down looked quite nice, but it was soon snatched from us, and we were given the B&B menu, which was a very limited 2 choices. Full breakfast or fruit, yoghurt & mini pastry. We left The Bank Hotel very disappointed, hungry & tired. 2/10 We wouldn't recommend a stay here.
