Called the hotel to confirm a shuttle would be available for pick up from the Pgh Airport following a trip from California to Pittsburgh arriving after 11:15pm. I realized this was late and wanted to prevent issues late at night after traveling all day. I was led to believe this was not an issue. After my arrival I called for a ride and was told, “sorry for the miscommunication, someone misspoke, the shuttle stops running at 11p. “ By the time I paid for my Lyft to this hotel, it would have been the same price to just stay at the hotel Hyatt in the Pittsburgh Airport and way more convenient. Unless one rents a car or has other transportation, if one arrives after 11 pm, I wouldn’t stay here. It’s inconvenient and offers no savings once factoring in the Lyft price. I am a Silver Marriott member and was offered nothing for their staff “ miscommunication.” Not the knowledgeable staff and customer service I’m use to from Marriott. The hotel was clean and nice, but the customer service and staff training are obviously poor at this Marriott site. If one is tired after traveling all day with a time change, stay at the hotel in the airport or at a hotel with consistent shuttle and customer service.
