Capital Hotel Songshan
Raohe Street Night Market Taipei | 0.23km from Raohe St. Night Market
The location is excellent, MRT and night market is just across the street. Room is small and if your neighbour room is noisy could be disturbing. Rooms facing the street can also be disturbed by the motorbikes zooming along the street during late night. No working desk, only TV shelve which can’t even put your laptop.

Waterfront Hotel
Raohe Street Night Market Taipei | 0.26km from Raohe St. Night Market
Great location, about a 5 min walk to the Metro station and around 8 min walk to the TRA station. About a 2 min walk to the raohe night market.
Relatively clean but some stains in the bathroom or under the sink. Room is quite dust free due to the air purifier in the room.
Basic hotel with not much facilities but they have washing facilities if clothes washing is needed.
Service can be improved with a difference of day and night staff. Felt that the night staff were more helpful in general with the day staff being quite standoffish and not really willing to assist, they were not even willing to help call a taxi and asked us to download Uber instead.

Hotel Lee-Chan
Raohe Street Night Market Taipei | 0.26km from Raohe St. Night Market
It is cheap even if it is high in Taiwan dollar in a private room with a bath toilet, and it is no problem if you just sleep. Cleaning is done properly. The windows are a little dirty so it looks old-fashioned, but the other places were clean. The front desk is kinder and impressed. No problem except no toothbrush, no Wifi, no refrigerator. Hot water comes out in the shower. It is located on the 7th floor of the building, which takes less than 2 minutes from Matsuyama Station. You can go to the night market immediately, so if you really just sleep, there is no problem.

Charming City Songshan Hotel
Raohe Street Night Market Taipei | 0.32km from Raohe St. Night Market
My friend and me was allowed to check in before the official check-in time since a room was ready. Our room was spacious and clean. TV, Wifi and hot water works well. However, the AC was very cold and seems to be stuck at 17 degrees. I overheard another hotel guest asking the reception about this same issue. From the room window, part of the city skyline with Taipei 101 can be seen.
The staff here are polite and helpful with a ready smile. At the small café area beside the lobby, hotel guests can enjoy free coffee and tea till 10pm. It’s location is easily accessible to the Raohe night market and Songshan MRT. Moreover, the hotel is near to a small park, quiet and charming like its namesake.

Amba Taipei Songshan
Songshan Station Taipei | 0.34km from Raohe St. Night Market
My wife and I recently stayed at the Amba Taipei Songshan hotel. We had a good time. Upon our arrival we entered with a lot of luggage because from Taipei we would be flying on to the Philippines for a long stay. Thankfully the very nice security guard on the ground floor offered to contact the upstairs front desk and moments later we were helped with our luggage by the very kind Michael Mao. He went beyond the call of duty in giving us personal help with our luggage and allowing us to check in earlier than usual. My wife was surprised by how large the room was and so was I. Very comfortable setup. We didn’t have a view of Taipei 101 but the other side of the building is nice as well. The only problem was that all three days of our stay, the weather was very gloomy with occasional rain. Thanks to Michael for helping with food suggestions, shopping info for my wife and great instructions on how to access the Hop On Hop Off, etc. Unfortunately, we ended up not using the Hop On/Off bus because the schedule is really not great for tourist. Availability of the bus isn’t good. Michael explained that this was mostly due to those Covid years. Perhaps in the future the Hop On/Off will be back to normal as I think most tourist around the world are used to taking advantage of it just to get a quick view of the entire city. I will say that the best form of travel around the city is definitely the subway, which is probably the easiest to use in the world. Its super clean and convenient. Also, as great as the Amba Taipei Songshan hotel is, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention something that others have made mention of and that is the breakfast. Unfortunately, its not a great selection and not very flavorful. I’m one of those people who never adds salt to my food once its cooked. With this breakfast, I was shaking the salt shaker constantly. Also, I think employees/chefs should be encouraged and allowed to be a little more improvisational, if you will. I witnessed several times where someone asked if their eggs could be cooked “sunny side up” but the chef only pointed to the sign with two choices, scrambled or omelette. Sunny side up is not hard to do and probably takes less time to make than an omelette. Also, there’s a sign that says pancakes but in front of this sign is a plate filled with waffles. I assumed that you had to ask for pancakes so when I did, the chef pointed at the waffles. That sign should be changed to waffles only or offer both, which in my opinion would be the better option. Pancakes and Waffles. The area where breakfast is served is very nice and spacious. They should really try harder to make the breakfast just as exceptional. Beyond that, I still very much recommend this hotel as a number one option. Its a great location, the city link is right across the street and the Raohe night market is not far away at all. Really nice relaxed vibe and a very safe area to walk around and explore. 😁. Thank you for a nice stay…

Let’s get to the point first
Pros: The location is quite convenient, a few minutes to Songshan Taiwan Railway/MRT, Raohe Street Night Market. There is a family downstairs a little further away there is a 7-Eleven, in the morning there is a breakfast shop and at night there is stewed salt and pepper chicken. The room has a good industrial design. The staff is polite and helpful.
Disadvantage: A window does not necessarily mean a view. Poor pressure in toilet flushing toilets (Taiwan B&Bs seem to be a common problem, but Hong Kong and Macau people are really not used to throwing 💩 toilet paper out)
I originally booked a small greenery nest, because it has a larger space. There is indeed a lot of space and a small indoor balcony, a lot of space for the toilet...
But although the room has a window, it is only a few meters away from the unit opposite, the neighbor is waving to me🙋🏻 ♀️ ... like to interact with neighbors first choice ... otherwise destined to close the curtains will not see the light of day.
Although the toilet is big, the sink is small and there is not much space to put anything. Perhaps due to lack of ventilation or pipeline problems, there has been a strange smell. The bathtub is a jacuzzi but there are visible stains on the walls on the side of the bathtub...it's hard to take a bath with peace of mind...
The room facilities are generally normal, but the bed is a bit unstable, the slightest movement will squeak ~
And the room has a floor a little higher than the door and toilet, but it is easy to lose foot, several times almost fell🥴
The main want to have a window is want to open the view to see the daylight, so to the counter to inquire. The counter guy🤓 was very helpful in finding, but that night the room was full at night, but helped me record that the next day there was a room available to change rooms. Then the next day my little sister during the day helped us change our little sunshine nest🌞. (Actually, some people may like to look at their neighbors and not like the street ~ everyone takes what they need 🤷🏿♂️ But the photos on the website are really important, no photos for me to refer to book the wrong room type.)
Speaking of sunshine, the space is a little smaller than the greenery, a little less stool, a little less socket, ordinary bathtub ordinary shower, a little smaller washbasin. The rooms and toilets have windows that open a bit for ventilation but no screens. Across the street but not very noisy. You can also see the top of 101😂. The toilet is relatively smellless, the flushing pressure is just as bad. The bathtub has a small damage but is more confident to soak in the soup. The bed did not squeak and slept quite well ~

The hostel is actually nearby the Raohe Night Market so it’s quite convenient in terms of meals. Once you arrived the hostel, they’ll drop you a card to enter your room and there’s a gate on that certain level so it’s quite secure. However, the personal locker is not quite working in our dorm.

The counter staff are very professional and friendly, and their communication and coordination make people feel like they are solving problems from the customer's perspective. They are completely altruistic, and they have never forgotten the things they promised customers, no matter how small they are, whether they are boys or girls. They are all, actually very good, it is Chinese style, I don’t think there is anything missing, it is very nice. One more thing, the balcony really has a city view, not the house facing the house. If I really have to give a specific score, I think it would be ”a few tyrants”!

The hotel is ok. It is also convenient to eat, drink and play around. The staff at the hotel is not very good. Say don't book at Ctrip. We obviously booked the room. Going to the first sentence means that you have booked a room? In fact, they also have a single hand. Also left the room. ......... said Ctrip is not good in Taiwan. Do not make reservations at Ctrip in the future. I don't understand why. Your hotel will not be cancelled if you don't cooperate with Ctrip. We will not book a reservation at Ctrip. Anyway, people are not very happy to receive, we are in the room booked by Ctrip.

The location of the hotel is great, directly across from the Jiantan MRT station and also a 5 minutes walk from Shilin Night Market. The amenities in the hotel room was nice and thoughtful. Refreshments are provided in the hotel lobby. Unfortunately, the wifi in the hotel was subpar. The room was modern and having a balcony was a plus. However the rooms are smaller than the The Tango Jiantan (which is right next door) and about half the size of The Tango Xinyi, which had little space for 2 people to share and made it a bit difficult to unpack large suitcases. It would be nice if there are a bit more drawers or space to put items. Overall would stay again for the location but would recommend the Jiantan branch instead for more spacious rooms.

After an extended stay (41days), I summarize my experience here. #1. Location: it is less than 5 mins walking distance to Taipei MRT. More importantly, this is a transfer station of red and yellow lines. And one stop from this station, you can hop on blue, green, or brown. This means you can connect to all five main lines within one station tranfer. It offers you a great way to start your day touring around this metropolitan city. #2. Facility: the room is clean, the mattress maybe on the soft side (but it might be my personal preference). There is the famous Toto washlet. Besides one particular room selection, there is only shower no tub. The water flow and temperature are consistent. #3. The breakfast. This hotel offers buffet style breakfast, including simple continental, simple salad bar, and traditional Taiwaneses breakfast with porridge. The staffs are so proud of the buffet breakfast (and I agree this is something they should brag about). The coffee is freshly brewed with good beans. The chef carefully prepare the food so there is seldom repeated hot dishes, and even offers vegetarian choice. #4. Staff: It is well known that One of the most beautiful things in Taiwan is PEOPLE. The front desk staffs are very efficient, professional, and approachable. The wat custodian cleans the room is remarkable. I was shocked when I learned that staying for 41 days is not a record. Maybe when the opportunity presents itself, I will try to set the record. Bottom line, this is a great hotel managing by a great team. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

The room is a bit small but it does fit two people. Fitting in more than two luggages would be a struggle. Aside from the size, everything else was perfect.
Room was very clean, it had complete amenities and daily housekeeping. Although they only provide two hangers and no closet space.
There’s also free coffee in the lobby and since it was Christmas when we visited, they gave out free candy.
They also have packaged tours and you can order souvenirs like pineapple cakes and mango jellies from them and they deliver to your room.
Location was also very good. Just a five minute walk to the train station and walking distance to popular districts like Ningxia Night Market and Dihua Street. There is also a 7-Eleven right next to the hotel and a Family Mart across the street.
Overall very nice hotel and would definitely book here again for future visits.

There was a slight smell when we reach the room but open switching on the aircon, it was all good. The room is a good size , very spacious. The bed is bit hard. But overall is good and we can see Taipei 101 building just outside the balcony. The service is all good as well. For the price I think is very worth it and it is near the Xinyi shopping district

I chose the hotel due to its location. It is across the road from the museum, has a convenience store close by, plenty of food places, and a Metro station is just 200m away with the main railway station just 400m away. My room had wifi/internet and a bar fridge. I stayed here twice and was mostly satisfied. Better rooms are on the front of the building. The back rooms have no view and sound carries between them via a light well. English speaking by staff is mixed. They do have a left luggage facility if you arrive early or are departing late. Not all staff understand such requests.

I stayed for three nights. Recently, there seems to be no word of mouth posts, so I hope you can refer to it. As the past word of mouth, it's really dark throughout. I don't know the control of the lighting in the room, and I can open the curtain in the morning and finally work at the desk. The corridor is dim and in addition, there is only one elevator, and it is unbelievable that it is No. 1 in the tango in the Nakayama area. The room with a coffee machine was out of order. I gave up because I was troubled to go to the front desk. The hospitality in the rooms other than the lighting is the best, and I think it is the best hotel since Corona began to calm down and I can go to Taiwan. I was especially satisfied with the bathroom. There were plenty of towels. I like it many times, but I thought it was perfect for hotel life except for lighting. Meals are about a bonus. It was also dim here and it was difficult to confirm the product name. I never stay at a luxury hotel, but I feel that the breakfast level of a hotel in Taiwan has fallen recently.
Did a very good with my business trip, and going to stay again with my family, big room, clean , and Japanese standard. Very high score of hotel in taipei for my opinion. And the breakfast was cool with +Variety 🫰🏾

First you won't recognice it for a hotel, it's just an ordinary iron door, just follow the instructions before you enter the hotel.. When you enter, there is no reception. Message me on their wattapps number to be instructed on the process of getting a key card to enter the hotel room..It's stressful because you will do all the procedures by yourself..When you enter, the room is was clean, the toilet is nice, towels and Also the place very close to shilin night market, Bus station and train station. Satisfied even though we had a hard time getting in first 😁

First of all, the location of the hotel is hard to find. It is in a residential area and there is no sign outside. You need to ask at the front desk of Fengju Hotel. There will be staff to pick you up. The hotel is on the 7th floor of a business building. The room is big and clean. It is quiet at night. The wifi is powerful and the facilities are complete. Breakfast is at the restaurant of Fengju Hotel. The buffet is not bad. The location of the hotel is really good, 5 minutes walk from Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT station, so it is convenient to go everywhere. 3 subway stops or half an hour's walk to 101 Building, 1 station to Taipei Main Station, 2 stations to Ximending MRT, 3 stations to Songshan Airport MRT or 120 Taiwan dollars by taxi. It is also 2 stops away from the duty-free shop, and next to the hotel are Pacific Sogo and Sogo Sogo. The room fee is only 350. The price/performance ratio is too high. It is very convenient to go shopping and eat. I will stay here next time.
