The hotel is very new, with complete facilities and good hygiene. The bedding is very comfortable and the service is good. I checked in promptly when I arrived at the hotel after 12 noon, which is great. It is recommended to stay in a sea view room above the fifth floor. The view from the fourth floor is not very good because it will be blocked by telephone poles and wires on the side of the road. It would be even better if the infinity swimming pool on the third floor could be built on the roof. After all, the view from the third floor is much worse, and the telephone poles and wires on the roadside are a bit distracting.

Booked this hotel for a work trip, I was pleasantly surprised to find this accommodation also perfect for family vacations. The rooms boast ample space, comfortable beds, and even a bathtub for added convenience. While the inclusive breakfast options are somewhat limited, they do offer a delightful sampling of authentic Thai cuisine.

Stayed here for one night and due to circumstance was just looking for a good value as there was no time for a resort setting this trip to Rayong. In that situation I usually stay at the Marriott but for a place to sleep and run errands within Rayong this place was great. Room was bigger than I expected, very clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was solid considering the limitations these days but given the space they are using assume that in ”normal” times it is probably quite grand.

The Service is normal so I give just only good score. The Cleanliness and facility are excellent. However the breakfast is poor because there is no variety of food to eat.

Bathroom very smell, room good, big. WiFi good. Reception is good and security guard at night. Only thing I complain is the bathroom, very strong smell.

However, there was no welcome set provided, which I assume is in line with the hotel’s level as a Focused Service property. The amenities are available upon request. One of the strengths of this hotel is its location, being right next to Central Rayong. In fact, it’s just a 10-step walk away. The TV is modern, allowing for Netflix streaming, and the internet speed is excellent. The gym equipment is well-maintained and complete, with a distant view of the sea. The rooftop bar serves well-crafted drinks, and the taste was spot on. They also offer a Happy Hour. The pool is not very large, but it’s perfect for a relaxing dip with a nice view. I would rate this stay 8.5/10. The only minor issue was the absence of a shaving kit, which other Hilton Garden Inn properties do provide. For travelers on longer stays or business trips, this might be something they need. Nevertheless, this is a lovely new hotel worth staying at, and I would certainly return.

Stayed in Royal Phala Cliff Beach Resort for 2 nights of business travel. As it's a business travel, the main criteria for the hotel is the vicinity with the company in the area. And this is supposed to be the ”best” hotel in the area. Upon arrival, the building looked impressive with open air lobby and good lighting. But what good initial impression I had, immediately disappear upon entering the room. Based on other reviews, I was perhaps lucky to be placed in the main building as it's easily accessible with better furnishing condition. But even then, the condition easily falls in under maintained. While the room is large (and clean as far as I saw, but I dared not to try to look into details), to say that it doesn't have enough lighting is an understatement. The spotlight above the Television was broken and I asked them to change it before leaving for dinner. Upon returning, they put a table lamp in front of the TV...which made me suspect the problem was not with the lighting bulb but perhaps on the cabling or light switch. The TV only have local channels. The bathroom, while again, it's clean, looks really outdated with no barrier for shower, making the bathroom floor prone to getting all wet. To top it off, there seemed to be no hot water (same condition with my colleagues in 3 other rooms). Breakfast was standard, enough quantity, edible, but nothing special. While I do appreciate the staffs that seemed to help as best as they could, Royal Phala Cliff must really improve on upkeep or risk further plunging into the cycle of declining guests-income-maintenance budget.
