Happen to get arranged to a room that is in front of bar, so it is noisy at night

First of all, the location is really great. Where do you want to go in Queenstown? Almost everything can be reached on foot. The property is only a 1-2 minute walk from the lake. The brunch shops in front of the accommodation are also famous and delicious. Accessibility is truly superb. Also, this hotel has an app called GOKI installed in advance and requires email verification. If you check in, you can check in quickly. Or while checking in You must install the app and authenticate. You can open and close the door with this app without a key. On the G floor of the hotel, the music is turned up loudly, so it might be heard all the way to the room. But when I stay in the dorm, I can't hear any music from the G floor. However, it is not soundproofed, so you can hear coughing from the next room or conversations in the hallway. It sounded great. We booked a room without a window, and when we looked under the door, there was a gap. Even though there was no lounge space on our floor, it was loud because people were talking loudly in the hallway even after 12 or 1 o'clock. I think this will feel different depending on the people staying at the same time. The inside of the room was generally clean. I thought there was no shampoo and body wash, but towels are provided every day. Disposable shampoo, conditioner and treatment were provided. One pack of milk was provided on the first day, even though two people stayed. It was only provided for the first day. It was delicious, so I went to the supermarket and ate it later. I was worried about ventilation because the room had no windows. The small hole in the ceiling was blowing air frequently, whether from a fan or an air conditioner, so there was no smell and the temperature in the room was adjusted appropriately. The air conditioner didn't work at all, perhaps because it wasn't connected. There was a TV, refrigerator, hair dryer, hanger, ironing board, and iron in the room. The bedding was also clean. However, on the second day out of the many days I stayed, the room was cleaned after 3 o'clock. It didn't work out, so I came in to take a break and left again. When I returned, blankets, towels, and amenities were provided in the room. The dust on the bathroom floor was not cleaned up. The next day, the room and bathroom floor were cleaned again. Overall, I was satisfied with this place.

Very dirty and old facilities, staff not helpful and told me he couldn't find my booking which scared me a lot. I don't know where I can stay if he can not find my booking.

Good place to stay if you are traveling solo. Location is perfect, kitchen and sofa area are big, customer service was responding immediately

I was impressed with how clean quiet and high tech this hostel was. I was even able to rent a towel and do many things from the app they use for all guests. It is right in the middle of everything. Great location. Staffed 24/7 made me feel safer than the ones who don't have someone watching the door at night. Would love to return to this one someday!

For a backpacker hotel, it was brilliant . I had one night during NY , so this was all I could get. I asked for a Female only room and they catered for this perfectly. Secure, Private and with its own bathroom. It was a few days after NY, so it was VERY NOISY at night, but what can you expect ..it right in the heart of Queenstown

Very loud at night cannot sleep w bars parties. Price you pay for location. They do mention that it gets loud, so no surprises, but it is extremely loud and until early hours in the morning.

Ik raad het af om in dit hostel te slapen op vrijdagavond, de muziek van de buren (uitgaansgelegenheid) stond enorm hard aan tot 03:00. Verder is het een groot hostel, wat niet ten goede komt van de netheid van de keuken

I think it was nice to be able to open and close the door using the app, and be able to come home even late at night. It was also very convenient to be close to the center, and it was close to the lake so it was easy to go for a walk. The staff were friendly and tried to understand my poor English, which made me happy. The common areas seemed untidy. It seems that the staff cleans up the kitchen every day, but the kitchen space is not very organized. (I don't think there's anything we can do about it, since this is a problem on the user's side...) There was no free space in the refrigerator, and I felt like the facilities weren't keeping up with the number of people staying there. I also felt that the inside of the room was not very clean. There was what I thought was a security box, but the lock was broken so I couldn't use it, and although the bed sheets were clean, the comforter wasn't that clean. Also, the Christmas party was held until late, so if you don't like that kind of hustle and bustle, I think you should avoid making reservations during Christmas.

I don't enjoy staying in Queenstown because everything is so expensive, but the en-suite rooms at Nomad's Backpackers are a reasonable price for the area, and provide you with your own private bath, a balcony, and a mini-fridge. What they don't provide you though is hand towels, soap, or shampoo ... There is a soap dispenser, but we stayed in two different rooms a week apart, and neither of the dispensers had any soap. So bring your own.

Jared at the front desk is awesome. I only wish that there was a hallway light into my room. I booked a double, thinking that I had full bath access. The baths are shared. I love that they offer cooking class as well as you get a free dinner. I'm not sure when they cook for the free dinner but when I checked in I was told that there was going to be complementary Indian food in the kitchen if I wanted some. The theme does change. You use an app to unlock your door. Unfortunately the app keeps messing up and for some reason it takes about 15 tries for my door to open There is a sona, it is usually occupied and I think it only seats two people. When I went up it was occupied by two gentlemen, so it was a tight fit for two people. There is also a backyard terrace. Parking can be a little tricky. I parked on the street in front of the hostel, and got lucky both times. They have some pretty cool stickers I purchase. Super convenient location to downtown Queenstown. Literally a 6 minute walk

Had a box room (no window) If you stay get a balcony room. Place looks well used , bit run down and tired. Otherwise OK

Very modern, the front desk is very nice and helpful There is no time limit for check-in, many B&Bs in Queenstown have time limits🚫The locals get off work when it gets dark
