I have been back from Laguna beach just over a week now. I went with a couple of friends and loved every minute of it. Apart from the ghekos The food was lovely all freshly cooked and very tasty. I have read previous negative reviews about the food and totally disagree. There is something for everyone. No there isn’t burger and chips if you want that type of food maybe try Benidorm. What there is tho is traditional Mauritian food aswell as a Chinese night which was delicious. I couldn’t get enough of the noodles and fried rice, aswell as the Chinese or Indian nights there are stews salads and different chicken dishes. The rooms do need a little update here and there but nothing major. Towels changed daily if required and fridge topped up every day with beer, water and soft drinks Staff were fantastic some couldn’t do enough for you, big shout out to Asha the chef on a morning she was always cheerful and had a smile on her face. The main person that stood out for me was Alex from the entertainment team, he absolutely made that place for me, he got everybody up joining in whether it was beach or pool volleyball or dancing on an evening he was an asset to the hotel. Would I go back, yes definitely we had some fantastic day trips and saw some amazing places. We also met some amazing people and wish Laguna beach a very big thank you.

We stayed at the Laguna Beach in April 2024. The reviews on TripAdvisor are varied but from our point of view this holiday was amazing. The staff could not do enough for you. They were truly wonderful people. Friendly yet professional and always willing to go the extra mile. The spa was exceptional, massages and reflexology - "out of this world" Reception staff wonderful - Diya Sahini Yashni Jeremy lead by Francesca. Always varied food on offer and this was excellent. The staff really do want you to have a fantastic holiday. The greetings from them were exceptional. We booked a speedboat excursion with Ben who sold clothes on the beach and this is something not to be missed. Feeding the monkeys and dolphins swimming alongside the boat captained by Kishan, marvellous waterfalls and lunch on a beach. Amazing. The restaurant team lead by Akshay and his number 2 Jevin really made us feel special. Breakfast by Asha Alan and Jeshna. Hot kitchen Raksha Rati Yash and Ashiana and cold Megane. Remember the chefs name Akshay we will hear of him in the future we have no doubt. Radhika our maid was a very special girl too. The waiters and wiatresses were special too. Nothing was too much trouble. Special mention to Avisen and Videsh and the lovely Karishma and her colleagues all wonderful. We were sorry to leave and say goodbye to the many friends we made there but rest assured we will return to see these wonderful people again.

Had a lovely 2 week break at this hotel The hotel itself is a little bit remote for my liking. Staff are super friendly, plenty of good food to choose from and hotel is kept very clean. A big thank-you to all the staff especially our housekeeper and Alex head of entertainment

This is a nice enough hotel its clean and well maintained and the staff are very welcoming and attentive. Alex the main entertainer is an absolute hoot, great sense of humour and a valuable asset to the hotel, ensuring he makes time for all guests going round talking and encouraging to have a good holiday. Massage at the spa was good and worth the money. There are pro’s and cons like any hotel, depending on what you are looking for. This hotel is very remote with nothing in walking distance but does have a beautiful setting with an infinity pool looking out to sea with a back drop of mountains. The beach is small and manmade but they do try to keep as clean as possible. The food is nice and a good selection in the main, with a separate choice of a la carte for occasions, as if on a 2 week break can get a little repetitive. The rooms are a good size, kept clean and maintained daily. If i was to make any suggestions to the hotel it would be to extend the drinks menu selection to include more spirits and time to 11.30pm instead of 10.30. Revamp the entertainment schedule as also on a weekly basis and not enough variety, Alex tries his best with the facilities provided. Alternate the afternoon crepes with other cake varieties. The onsite shop you could add a lil supermarket selection for guests to include toiletries and confection as this is a miss. Overall the holiday was good and relaxing and worth a visit. Google says May good time to visit but if wanting mainly sunshine then need to go in their summer months nov to feb!

We have spent 9 days at the Laguna beach hotel. The hotel is small, friendly, clean the food was pleasant. I had a massage whilst there will nlillisha she was very professional and the massage was amazing. Alex is the entertainer here he is full of laughter and smiles. We had a lovely time and met lovely people. Downside was the weather ( winter season) the gym wasn't great and it felt quite remote to main attractions. We went horse racing in st Louis which was fun and to the vallee des colur. Also visited the local market in flacq shopping centre, ile aux cerf.

What a lovely hotel. All staff are brilliant and very helpful. Always plenty of food and drink. Alex the new lead of the entertainment staff (Well deserved) is an absolute diamond. So funny and full of life. Absolutely made our holiday. Really noticed it when he was on a day off. Weather was a bit off and on at times. (It is their winter) But still very enjoyable.

Currently staying at this hotel we are having the best time the rooms all have a sea view which is fab, our maid in the room is amazing and left us a surprise for our anniversary, the hotel surprised us in the restaurant with a cake which was lovely. The entertainment has been good but it wouldn’t be the same if is wast for Alex he is the best he keeps everyone’s spiritus up when the weather is rubbish and it’s been rubbish! He keeps everyone happy and upbeat gets everyone dancing even myself!! We close to the end of our holiday and will really miss this little place in the sun we have no complaints it’s been really relaxing and all the staff have been fab nothing is too much!! But we will really miss Alex’s positivity and smile

Please please please, avoid this place. We have just got back from what should have been a very special holiday. The first thing a guest said to us on arrival was welcome to hell. He wasn’t far wrong. Ants everywhere where in the room, house keeping left us a repellent to kill them. The whole place needed a good scrub. Nowhere to hang cloths and no draws just wicker baskets. Food was not good such a small amount to choose from. Not our idea of all inclusive at all. One bar in the whole place which flooded if it rained. Under shelter seating area which needed buckets to collect water so no one slipped when it rained. Inside seating area flooded so nowhere to go accept your room. We had to be moved after 4 days this was the earliest they could do or we would have gone home. Never done a review like this before but I’m so very disappointed and sad that travel agents are still sending people here. Shanty towns to drive through to get there and a boat yard just outside so no beach at all. A man made beach there which was awful. The staff were lovely and did all they could to help but the place should be closed down.

We had amazing time staying in the Laguna beach hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, great food and very good atmosphere in around the hotel. We came here to do the kitesurfing and the hotel is well located to access many spots. You cannot kite directly from the hotel beach, but there is a daily boat to Ile aux Cerf, and a few other spots within a short drive.
