Barcarola Club

We had a lovely week in these apar**ents. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The apar**ent was spotlessly clean. The pool area was well maintained, the gardens just felt so peaceful and tranquil. A good choice at breakfast. Delicious freshly cooked omelets! Excellent location - plenty of good bars and restaurants just a short walk away. Can't fault it. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Barcarola for a week in April. You walk through the gates from the busy Puerto del Carmen '*****' to a peaceful haven. Such a relaxing stay and yet so close to the many restaurants and beaches. Breakfast is plentiful in the clean and well equipped 'restaurant'. Only slight criticism for a 4 star venue was a perhaps tired looking appar**ent. However, it was fine and whilst we're not ones for revisiting a place, we met many who did and we would consider the Barcarola again. Worth booking!

The Barcarola offered an amazing experience. It was spotlessly clean, friendly service, lovely pool and area with plenty of sun beds and an amazing breakfast. I was on my own, but felt comfortable the whole time, my apar**ent was lovely. I chose not to cook, but had the tools there to make simple meals if I had wanted . Surrounded by loads of restaurants and with a Spar practically on doorstep, this was a delight from start to finish.

It's always nice when a place turns out better than you expected. Tidy modern room with comfy sofa and large tv. Air-conditioning worked well. Lovely pool, plenty of sunbeds. Great location. Peaceful environment and friendly fellow guests and staff. Food was fantastic. Have recommended to family and friends. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

My partner and I recently stayed and we were really looking forward to itcas it was our 3rd time but we were very disappointed. We requested same block as previous for evening sun but were given complete opposite with mo view except back of bar and trees blocking sun in morning. We didn't sleep well at all as first 3 nights it was windy and it was howling through gap in bottom of door and door frame. We reported it at night and told it would be fixed on Monday, 3days later but never was When we did sleep we were rudely awoken by cleaning g last dragging beds around concrete floors at 8am and talking loudly to male colleagues. Most days it was 8 30.am and it nearly gives you a heart attack when you're asleep. Staff were lovely in restaurant plus cleaning staff but felt it had definitely changed from lovely relaxing place. We felt downgraded. I did email when I returned to advise of early morning problems but never even got an acknowledgement. Very disappointed and upset . Liz

We had a superior Apar**ent C1, which was large, well equipped,cleaned daily and everything we wanted.The whole complex is very well laid out and of course all the staff exceptional.Its the staff that make the experience so thank you.A fabulous breakfast every morning in great surroundings.A little Oasis I would call this complex.

holiday away with my fiancee and i can only describe the barcarola asa perfect magical experience. Apar**ent spotless comfortable rooms cleaned daily and beds made great view of main ***** to sit and watch the people walking by sitting in our balcony with a glass of wine .Swimming pool excellent with pool towels supplied and excellent bar serving coctails cool beers and a great lunch menu staff so friendly and helpful .Enjoyed so much that we have booked to go again for a longer stay on 30th april cant wait Maria and Philip

We were very pleased to have chosen Barcarola . The rooms were spotless , such good room service. My only gripe , the bathroom, needed updating. Had to step into bath to have a shower. Not good for a couple in their 70's. The gardens and surrounds were very good. The swimming pool was excellent. The location was perfect. Not forgetting breakfast, it would be hard to find a better one. The staff were wonderful. 🥰

Lovely apar**ents set in beautiful grounds. Quite a small complex in relation to others and very peaceful & quiet by the pool area, you could often hear the birds in the trees. There is also a very tame egret who wanders the grounds! There always seemed to be sun loungers available and a few had really thick mattresses. There is a small snack bar area where you can buy drinks & snacks. Most of the guests were of an older age group (possibly because it was February). The entrance to the complex is right on the ***** next to the lovely Italian restaurant Antica Trattoria and on the flat. We had a premium first floor one bedroom apar**ent which is equipped for three people. Bizarrely there was no door on the bedroom; just a gap bigger than a doorway so no privacy if three people are sharing the apar**ent. Can’t imagine who thought that was a good idea. The apar**ent was clean and had everything we needed, the walk in shower was a rainfall one with an overhead spray and a hand attachment, it was very weak and sometimes we couldn’t get it hot enough but it did the job. There were bathrobes provided and cushions for the patio chairs (and the hairdryer still had a nozzle on it! ) On arrival there was a complementary bottle of water in the fridge. Although there was a tea towel there was no washing up liquid or dishcloth / sponge provided which you normally get in apar**ents. There was very little storage space - a wardrobe with 8 hangers which had a safe on a shelf that you could put things on, and just one drawer underneath. That was it. No drawers underneath the bedside shelves. We used the luggage shelf as a dressing table. Strange a refurbished apar**ent didn’t seem to be designed for guests who have luggage to store. Breakfast was very nice with indoor and outdoor seating. The ladies working there quickly cleaned tables & replenished supplies. There was a lady cooking omelettes on demand and frying eggs and bacon on hot plates as well as the usual cereals, croissants etc. There was always one type of fresh fruit cut up such as orange or kiwi fruit and a bowl full of tinned fruit. It would have been nice to have more prepared fresh fruit and also fresh juice instead of squash. Although there were a few things that could have been improved (storage, a bedroom door, more forceful shower) we had a lovely stay and would definitely return & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Barcarola apar**ents.
