Starhotels Grand Milan

As we already have been twice in this hotel, we stopped there again after a long journey by car. Our last stay was a bit disappointing regarding the service with clients, which I cannot say of this stay. We had a very friendly receptionist, who explained us everything. The breakfast has a huge choice and everything we need. Simply delicious. It will definitely stay our “stop hotel” when going back to Italy by car.
Caroline Hotel
4.1/540 Reviews
Hotel Caroline is a work in progress already a beautiful setting for a quiet break. Lucy and Dan, our hosts, are an amazing couple, welcoming, friendly and enthusiastic. It felt like we had become family over the course of the weekend. Manfredo was terrific at breakfast and his seamless command of many languages was something to behold. Lucy and Dan have a clear vision for what they want to offer and I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel... I will be back.
Albergo Paradiso

The location is excellent, just a few meters from the coastal road. The (sportboat) port is only 200 metres away, so you can walk on the sea side to the other end of the place to take the ferry there. The hotel is conducted by two business-made ladies, who made me a stick for a single trip room 140 euros, which was clearly too much. Unfortunately, in open windows, sleep is hardly thought, because in about 30 meters away the freight trains pass, if you have the room to the wrong side. The bathroom was newly made, beautiful tiles and a modern shower. Some things, for example, that the water hanger is too close to the washing venue and you can hardly get the hand below it, you still like the Italian charm what has annoyed me: When I sticked to the door frame, I sticked my shirt to the sealing mass that no longer could be removed from the shirt. However, the garden with the pool, Even if it's a little cold from mid-September. Breakfast is Italian. So you should not expect much of it. Unfortunately there was no ordinary cappuccino. Cereals, of course, not. However, the rooms are lovely designed. Tip: Let the big car home. Wend on the parking lot does not go, the entry is narrow (and from sharp edge stone) and the road to which you have to go back is also very narrow. I won't go there again.
MO.OM Hotel
3.9/573 Reviews
I stayed at the Moom in 2011 and 2012 and loved it— not so much this time. While the breakfast buffet and happy hour are wonderful, the rooms were awful. We booked two rooms- one for me and one for my husband and a kid in each room. They set the temperature at 23– you cannot change it. The staff put us in a handicapped room - the toilet was 2feet off the ground, furniture was missing from the room, and there was no place to set belongings in the bathroom. The space was awkward and not cozy at all. Then, when we checked out, they told us there was an 80 Euro “child fee”. This wasn’t in the original booking — why us there a child fee? Did we just get ripped off? Impossible to know. While the original booking suggested this would cost one price, the final price was Much more.

Awesome, comfortable stay. Hotel front of house team, super efficient. Was made to feel welcome. Needed a place to rest overnight following my 24 hour flying visit to attend the screening of a movie premiere. Check in process was vey easy and straightforward. They have a hotel bar too and ordering drinks was easy. Not too pricey too. Room was very comfortable, bed was a good size too. Well equipped room, spotlessly clean and well laid out. Andre this morning on the check in counter was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Grabbed a free coffee and delicious pastries which I actually didn’t expect to be complimentary too. Andre was also very friendly and amiable too. He really took an interest in what I told him about my experience in Milan. (The guy on the desk last night was also helpful and friendly but didn’t ask for his name). Milan which was truly wonderful. Had a good rest ready for my flight back to London.
