What an incredible little find this hotel was ! It is a very traditional Italian hotel built into the cliff edge. The staff were so friendly and extremely helpful in every way they could through providing bus time tables and shuttle schedules. The grounds and surrounding areas are just stunning and breathe taking. Upon arrival as they were quiet they also upgraded our room which made it all the more special with the view outside our window. The breakfast was great and there was something for everyone. Housekeeping was every day which was also a lovely little touch. The only thing I would say as someone who didn’t know the area is plan ahead for your bus journeys as late at night it’s hard to get back and taxis are extremely expensive ! The bus service during the day is very reliable and frequent taking you to all the surrounding towns.

Lovely property. We rented a car which worked out great, but they can arrange car service as well. It was everything I was hoping for. Dinner food is somewhat preselection with few options, but fine. A special experience.

Loved every second of our trip. The hotel is stunning. Beautiful views from the terrace and loved our window in our bedroom and bathroom. Yes it is out the way a bit but we used the courtesy shuttle most of the time which was great. We got a taxi once and it was €25 from Maiori so plan your day and make the most of the shuttle bus. (It picks up/drops off right outside). Our room was gorgeous and the walk to our room was fab every time! Would definitely recommend

I very rarely write reviews but felt compelled to compliment Vincenzo and his brilliant team at this fabulous hotel/B&B. I’ve read the recent reviews about damp rooms, and can understand how this is entirely possible due to being built into the mountain, but we most certainly didn’t experience any in our room (room 2 next to reception). It was a good size with authentic furniture and decent air conditioning, which was a godsend with the heat they’re currently experiencing! The room was cleaned everyday and had good quality bedding and towels etc. The fridge was regularly stocked with complimentary water, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was a traditional Italian style, freshly made omelette, peppers, mozzarella, meats etc or pastries, all self service on the outdoor (inside the mountain) terrace with the best view of Maiori/Amalfi coastline. The shuttle minibus was driven by a lovely local guy who always had a smile on his face. The shuttle has set times to drop off or pick up from the centre of Maiori, with the last pick up being 2230. As mentioned previously taxi’s are expensive at 25-30 euros back up the mountain, even though it’s only a 20 minute journey. The use of a private beach club is a lovely touch. Beach towels and sun beds are included free of charge and the food and drinks they offer are tasty and reasonably priced. Overall I cannot recommend this place highly enough if you’re a couple, probably not ideal for children though. Vincenzo and the team made us feel so welcome. We hired a small car from the airport for about £150 and used it to get about. Again Vincenzo has arranged free parking at a local hotel in Maiori which was a great touch. I’d definitely recommend Ravello, a lovely place 30 minutes away and Amalfi Centre approx 20 mins away. We took the ferry to Positano an hour away but weren’t too impressed as it was extremely busy. Amalfi is far more traditional and picturesque. Hope this helps ……

This place is very authentic and unique. Unfortunately it was very damp. When you put your hands on the wall in our room it was soaking wet. Mould also evident on the walls. As a result the bed sheets, pillows etc were very damp. Our clothes if not sealed in the suitcase would be damp within a few hours of being in the room. This may have just been our room however I suspect the rest were similar. This was unfortunate as it's just a beautiful location and perfect for a couple however you don't want to be sleeping in damp bed clothes!!

Badia is a great place for couples, has romantic vibes, very cute and cosy place, the staff are very helpful and do their best, Manager Vincenzo is great, really knows his stuff and they have their own shuttle from the hotel to the next town which is very convenient due to the location. Would defintely recommend.

Staff is excellent, and the property is stunningly beautiful.

The only surprise was that parking is basically on the side of the mountain, and you have to walk the coast road for a bit to get to it. Rather unnerving to park on such a severe angle. The staff was helpful in retrieving luggage. The views were stunning. The TV was large, and the room had updated electrical outlets. The toiletries provided were very nice. They made excellent cappuccinos.

The staff could not have been more helpful to us. My wife and I were driving around Italy with our 8 month old baby from Australia. The accomodation was amazing - noting it is historic so you have to make exceptions for conveniences. There are steep stairs, the rooms are smaller and parking is challenging, but we found it well worth it and staff will help. We still found enough room for a portable cot and she had a shower rather than a bath! The manager went out of his way to assist with parking, restaurants, visits to the beach, travel to other Coastal towns and anything else we asked. We loved our stay and are very appreciative of the hospitality shown to our family. We would love to visit again.
