We stayed here as part of our Viking extension. We had a nice room overlooking the lake. The bed was not the best, and as with older hotels, there were some ”charming” things to consider. We turned on the little lights on the ceiling, and they blew out. The bedside lamp had a frayed cloth wire with the metal exposed (I have not seen such a wire in probably 50 years). We reported these issues, but it was a weekend. I expected the lamp to be replaced because that's definitely a fire hazard, but no. Anyway, it's a pretty place, the air conditioning worked well, and it's a five minute walk to town with its many restaurants.

The location is excellent, just a few meters from the coastal road. The (sportboat) port is only 200 metres away, so you can walk on the sea side to the other end of the place to take the ferry there. The hotel is conducted by two business-made ladies, who made me a stick for a single trip room 140 euros, which was clearly too much. Unfortunately, in open windows, sleep is hardly thought, because in about 30 meters away the freight trains pass, if you have the room to the wrong side. The bathroom was newly made, beautiful tiles and a modern shower. Some things, for example, that the water hanger is too close to the washing venue and you can hardly get the hand below it, you still like the Italian charm what has annoyed me: When I sticked to the door frame, I sticked my shirt to the sealing mass that no longer could be removed from the shirt. It's a fairytale! It took me a lot to decide if to take the risk to travel or not. I'm glad I did take the risk! This is the first holiday when I don't check anything about the place I was going to stay, surrounding area not at all, just wanted to escape London for a bit. From far one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed. The hotel looks like a museum, incredibly amazing, surprises didn't chased to happen, they have a pool, tennis court, soccer court so many facilities, it's crazy. The room I've stayed, stunning,the view from the balcony took my breath away. It's quite, it's beautiful, it's perfect! Hotel stuff, they couldn't do any better than this, friendly, willing to assist whenever necessary, I felt like home! I've even got an early check in 🤗.Thank you Domenico, Monica, Andrea, Manpreet and everyone else!!! For anyone looking to escape the madness from a busy city like London let's say, this is the best place to be! P.S. make sure you bring mosquitoes spray, as I've mentioned I haven't done any inquiries before coming so, mosquitoes attack wasn't fun at all. I was looking forward to have dinner in the outdoors restaurant which ended up being a nightmare, but it was entirely my fault, the hotel is located on a hill, surrendered by trees obviously you'll have to deal with mosquitoes. The place was clean, but the food was awful. One of my friends got sick from their ham. It is like 20 minutes away from Varese center by foot, it is like 30 minutes away from the train station, my point is it is quite far from the things of interest of Varese/places to eat ( you have to search them, because besides the coffee, nothing has taste there) At lunch, we had brocolli wich looked really awful. Horrible food.

Ich habe im November 2023 das Hotel zwei Nächte von Freitag bis Sonntag besucht. Ich kenne es seit ca. zehn Jahren und bin fast alle Jahre ein bis zwei Mal pro Jahr dort gerne abgestiegen. Sauberkeit, Küche und Service habe ich stets geschätzt. Das Hotel hat auch ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Nun aber hat sich vieles verändert. Am Samstag Abend war für uns Hotelgäste das Restaurant ohne Vorankündigung geschlossen. Mit zwei grösseren geschlossenen Gesellschaften war die Küche offenbar voll ausgelastet und alle anderen Gäste mussten auswärts essen gehen. Am Samstag Abend war das Restaurant dann für uns offen und das Abendessen war recht gut. Samstag Nacht: Im geräumigen Keller des Kreuzganges fand eine Party statt. Ich hatte ein Zimmer im ersten Stock mit Blick in den Garten und leider auch schräg über dem Kellergewölbe. Die ganze Nacht lang bis zwei Uhr morgens ertönte laute Musik gemischt mit unprofessionellem Klaviergeklimper, sozusagen in einer Schlaufe. Ich habe ganze vier Stunden geschlafen. Sonntag Morgen: Beim Frühstück war das aufgeschnittene Weissbrot stark angetrocknet, es stammte wahrscheinlich vom Vortag. Auf dem Tresen stand eine ziemlich neue moderne Kaffeemaschine. Cappucino aus dem Automaten: Anstatt mit frischer Milch arbeitet die Maschine mit Milchpulver. Der Cappucino war schlicht ungeniessbar. Auf Verlangen hin bekamen wir dann aber frische heisse Milch. – Das Wochenende hatte ich mir anders vorgestellt. Seit ca. zwei Jahren hat das Hotel ein neues Management, das mit durschschlagendem Erfolg daran arbeitet, den vormals ausgezeichneten Ruf des Hotels zu zerstören. Mich dauern die langjährigen Angestellten an der Reception und im Service. Das Rezept des Managements ist offensichtlich Gewinnmaximierung um jeden Preis, völlig egal, ob dabei Gäste und Stammgäste vergrault werden. In Italien eine Kaffeemaschine mit Milchpulver zu betreiben ist eine Todsünde und eine Beleidigung für die kulinarisch hochstehende Region Piemont. Dem Hotel empfehle ich, wenn es seinen ehemals guten Ruf behalten möchte, das Management dringend auszuwechseln und von schnöder Gewinnmaximierung Abstand zu nehmen. I spent a few days in this hotel with my family, immediately being hit by the beauty of the environment, for the large, well-treated spaces both outside and inside: he welcomed us a garden with a green grass and ugly flowered trees, And there was a very gentle personal meeting that brought us the baggage to the room and showed us the parking of the hotel. Inside, beautiful furnished rooms with elegant and garned with fresh plants and flowers, and a light-fledged dinner room thanks to the walls of glass, faced on the garden. At the latest floor, a large terrace with a beautiful view of the lake and its islands, behind it is a beautiful pool that is not yet enjoyable in spring but which is surely offering a pleasant cooling in summer. We felt cocktailed and we found also available from room staff (we had the half-pension treatment) ready to meet the needs of my grandchildren aged one and five. The hotel is excellent location, close to the centre and the lake, and especially two steps from the departure of the ferries to the islands.

Breakfast is too good! The train station walks 300 meters. Opposite the lake can take a boat. Bathroom accessories are exquisite! Staff is very friendly and introduces many attractions! The lake room is great

I had 2 wonderful days on the Lake maggiore! I could not pick a better location. The hotel is located in an antic palace that made me feel like nobility in the 18th century. The room was very clean and spacious, as well as cozy. Like being in your own bedroom, but with no noises and a much better view 😀 The breakfast was amazing. From eggs and bacon to the home made cakes, cookies and everything in between. In only 2 days I was able to refresh and recharge, surrounded by the famous kindness of the Italian hosts. Thank you. You will see me again for sure 🙌🏻🌸

We found this hotel while searching for somewhere to stay on Lake Maggiore. We were in Brig in Switzerland at the time and had been looking on the internet for a hotel near the lake in Stresa. We booked this hotel and what a great hotel it is, it's beautifully decorated it has nice sized comfortable rooms with balconies and it's 2 minutes walk from the lake and front of Stresa. The big bonus for us was that it also had underground parking which was great for us as we were are on a 6 week touring holiday on our Motorcycle. The staff at this hotel are so helpful and pleasant to talk to it just makes the stay even better. We will definitely recommend this Hotel to our friends if there thinking of coming to lake Maggiore everything about it was perfect for us just a great place to stay.
