As a Hilton Honor Member, I had certain expectations of what a Hilton property should look, smell and feel like. Corporately owned properties are usually in better shape than franchises. From the beginning, my wife and stated the reasons of why we wanted to stay at this property; she just had hip replacement surgery and we wanted a place for her to recuperate and do some physical therapy. They only clean the rooms once in 5 days--you have to make sure you are on the list to be cleaned. My wife needed clean sheets at least every 3 days or so since she just had surgery. Getting maid service was next to impossible. The breakfast was not very good. The coffee was usually not very hot and even after complaining it was not hot on one occasion the middle aged, overweight brunette, kitchen worker acted as if she could care less. Customer service & hospitality?? There is a part time middle-aged worker with pink highlighted hair that lives there as well as works there. The first time I saw her she was smoking a cigarette about 10 feet from the front sliding doors with her dog. I starred at her and her cigarette; she starred back and threw the cigarette away but unfortunately in ”front” of the sliding doors ”not away” from the doors. Then she walked into the hotel to talk with the front desk employees. The entire front entry way smelled of cigarette smoke; I complained about it--hoping she would get the hint. Wrong she had no clue.
