Epic Tamarindo Boutique Hotel

We had such a welcoming experience even before we got here as hotel staff called and texted us to let us know what to expect, that housekeeping would meet us there, and explained WiFi, pool and other parts of the hotel. The villas themselves were impeccable, they were super clean 10/10 and had everything we needed. The bathrooms are spacious and there is a W/D. The location is perfect, close to many beaches. Would highly recommend to anyone who is in the Tamarindo area.

The place was very nice, quiet and the breakfast was delicious, but the best thing are the rooms (specially the bed). We had a lot of fun in Epic and we loved the private pool in the room and also the Hotel pool next to the deck with a garden view. I can recommend it.

What an EXCELLENT property!! The Host is AMAZING! So also is the Chef! Delicious meals prepared by the Chef and BPM wore us out so they delivered to the room! Couldn't ask for better service in All of Costa Rica! Absolutely Beautiful grounds! Don't hesitate to book your in great hands at this spot!

Our family had a fantastic 2 nights stay at this boutique hotel run hy Arnold. The experiences we had far exceeded our expectations and superceded our stays at other luxury hotels in Costa Rica. Arnold had provided many helpful tips for the family to visit the areas, including some amazing beaches, as well as prepared the best breakfast and dinner we had in Costa Rica. We plan to come back to this hotel and it is highly recommended for anyone travel in Costa Rica with a car.

Epic Tamarindo is truly epic. It’s a world class experience. The villas are exceptional quality and the service of the entire team was impeccable. They just opened Dec ‘23. The details and quality of the property are outstanding. There isn’t a restaurant per se, but you can order breakfast or dinner and have it prepared by their chef for your group. The ceviche and omelettes were the best I’ve ever had. The owner is onsite to fill up your glass or help with advice for activities around the area. You do need a car (about 20 min drive to Tamarindo) but it’s worth it for the peace (and peacocks!) Highly recommend!

An amazing last minute find for our family. The hotel is brand new and a great value for large rooms and stunning modern architecture with nice outdoor spaces. The Hotel There are about 10 adult suites and 6-7 two bedrooms villas on property. We stayed in a two bedroom suite. The modern architecture of the villas is spectacular and includes a small living room, kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a powered room, and indoor/outdoor showers. The beds are comfortable with great linens and pillows. Great A/C also. The upper area of the hotel has a beautiful pool and open air kitchen where you can have coffee and breakfast (with morning Champagne if you like). There is also a small bar for a pre dinner cocktail. The lower section of the hotel has the adult suites which have plunge pool and large couch and living area and small kitchen. On property, peacocks roam the grounds. The Location Epic is about a 10 minutes drive to central Tamarindo. We would definitely recommend having a rental car if you are wanting to explore and go into town. While its 10 minutes from the beach and not walkable to town, its nice to be staying just out of town out also. The property is located behind two security gates and is very quiet in the evening. We had a great meal at Aqua Salada which was only about 6-7 minutes away. Also Playa Avellanas is a fun surf beach with a great beach restaurant (Lolas). The Owner/Manager (Arnold) is super accommodating and friendly. We had a great time hanging out with him and he had good recommendations. We look forward to seeing him again.

The Epic was absolutely perfect. The property is brand new and so lovely. Arnoldo and his staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful…. recommending restaurants, booking us a catamaran sunset cruise, suggesting day excursions all of that and more made our stay so much better and easier. The suite was spacious and well appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable. The rain shower with a door opening out to the private plunge pool was extra special. They offer daily breakfast and some dinners as they bring a private chef in to cook for you poolside. We did not eat any meals there but heard other guests say it was just delicious. We would definitely recommend The Epic!

Arnoldo & his team do a beyond EXCEPCIONAL, caring and personalized customer service. This is what makes this place unique!!! Outstanding staff fully PASSIONATE in providing AMAZING customer care as said. Fully recommend it.

This place really MADE our stay in Tamarindo. Such a beautiful oasis to come home to after a day on the beach, in town or an activity. The 6 villas are huge and just beautifully designed. Great, big beds, lots of wardrobe space, and all the amenities you need. And everything brand new. Lovely pool, and 6 inhouse peacocks roaming the property. When we arrived the had champagne on ice waiting for us on the kitchen counter. The place is run by a married couple. The wife is an excellent chef. They make breakfast, lunch or dinner for you if you want, and they truly bent over backwards to make our stay perfect; Helped us book fishing trip, katamaran cruise, restaurants and giving us advice on everything. They do not have a full bar, just wine and beer. They are aiming for a calm and relaxing a**osfere, and not a partyscene. We had originally booked only 3 nights. Ended up staying for 6.
